    Comparison of Resilience and Subjective Well-being to Fathers and Mothers Who Have Postlingual Deafness Children

    This study aims to compare the resilience and subjective well-being of fathers with mothers who have postlingual deafness children. Participants in this study were 336 parents (168 fathers and 168 mothers) who had postlingual deafness children, were biological fathers and mothers of postlingual deafness children, lived with their partners and children who experienced postlingual deafness, were able to communicate verbally and in writing using Indonesian good, domiciled in West Java. This research uses a comparative study approach. The instrument used in this study is the CD-RISC which has been modified into Indonesian by Lamsinar & Ratna (2011) and subjective well-being instruments constructed by researchers based on the Diener theory. The findings in this study reveal that there are significant differences in resilience and subjective well-being between fathers and mothers who have postlingual deafness children. Based on the average resilience and average subjective well-being seen in the group, the group of fathers who have postlingual deafness children has a higher score compared to the group of mothers who have postlingual deafness children

    Development of integrated thematic teaching material used discovery learning model in grade V elementary school

    This research is intends develop integrated thematic learning materials by using discovery learning (DL) model in the 5th grade of elementary school. It categorize this research into research and development study. The model includes four phases, defining, designing, developing, and disseminating phases. However, it did not include the disseminating phases. The subjects of the research were 5th grade students. The results of the research show that the validity score of the learning materials developed is 3,36. Questionnaire and interviews with the teachers and the students reveal that the materials developed are practical. The score given by the teachers is 96, 43%, and by the students is 84, 5%. Based on the results, we conclude it that the integrated thematic learning materials developed by using (DL) model are valid and practical to be use in the learning process

    This study aims to examine the correlation between emotional intelligence (EI) and learning achievement with social media usage on students. The kind of this research is correlation quantitative. Subjects were 4 of 10 schools with 226 students and using cluster random sampling and purposive sampling. The data were obtained by the questionnaire of social media usage, the scale of emotional intelligence (EI), and the ledger documentation. Validity rate on all of the instruments was high with the level of error 5%, as well as the reliability of the instruments which was also high. The descriptive analysis using the mean and standard deviation, while hypothesis testing using the product moment correlation and multiple.     Psychological problems continue to develop with the incessant occurrence of revolutionary fluctuations. However, the problem is more complex, with a continuous increase in growth rate not balanced with the psychological approaches and counseling related to recovery. In addition, several previous approaches require a relatively longer alleviation time. Therefore, Ifdil Perceptual Light Technique (IPLT) comes with a combination of technology, programming languages, and several previous approaches, which aim to reduce trauma, phobias and other psychological disorders in less than ten minutes. IPLT works by utilizing and combining light technology with programming languages to modify, change sensory and perceptual stimuli. It has IPLTC procedures namely Insight (I) Processing of Building Rapport (P), Lighting Techniques (L) Tools and Techniques (T), Closing and Follow Up (C). Based on trials, IPLT is very effective in reducing trauma, phobias and other psychological disorders.     As a Study Program in the new Faculty, it has produced over 400 alumni, but for ten years there has never been test the alumni side or from the stakeholder side (end user), so it is necessary to conduct research to test the satisfaction level of alumni and stakeholders. The research method used is a mixed-method with concurrent design, which uses quantitative and qualitative research. From the results of the study we can conclude it that the alumni feel quite satisfied with an average score of 3 on the three indicators; teaching and learning process, administration process and provision of facilities in Islamic Psychology Study Program, Faculty of Psychology. Therefore, it still needs to be improved in a lecture, computer and internet facilities. Islamic Psychology Study Program Faculty of Psychology has fulfilled most of the expectations of stakeholders and alumni. The advice given by stakeholders to the Faculty of Psychology to be more advance relates to improve physical facilities, human resources, services and competitiveness of graduates

Online game addiction that occur in adolescents can have an impact on various aspects of life, such as health aspects, psychological aspects, academic aspects, social aspects and financial aspects.     Testing the quality of film-based creative and innovative character education test with rasch model

    This study aims to test the quality of Film-Based Creative and Innovative Character Education Test by examining the values of validity, reliability, different power, and level of difficulty. This study focuses on the Film-Based Creative and Innovative Character Education Outcomes Test using the 40 items Rasch Model. This research is a research development. Research subjects numbered 66 students in grade VII and VII of junior high school. Data analysis techniques to see the quality of test kits developed in this study using the Rasch Model with QUEST and Ministeps programs. The results showed: (1) the validity of the whole test items fit in the range of INFIT MNSQ 0.80-1.0; (2) the reliability of the test questions is very high with a value of 0.92; (3) the level of difficulty of the midterm test items (-1 to 1) according to the Rasch Model category (-2 to +2); and (4) the power of different test questions is in the good category. The conclusion of this research is that Film-Based Creative and Innovative Character Education Test Results can be used to measure the results of creative and innovative character education in schools

    Teacher’s pedagogical competencies on the vocational high school of Padang City

    Teachers are an important part of education, the results of the achievements of education are proportional to the competencies of the teacher. One of the competency that teachers must have is pedagogical competence. This study aims to describe how the teacher’s pedagogical competencies on vocational high school of Padang City, with 86 research subjects, using the Teacher’s Pedagogical Competencies Inventory. The results of the study revealed that the teacher’s pedagogical competencies on vocational high school of Padang City is in a good category and this needs to be maintained and should be improved further
