Adaptasi akademik, sosial, personal, dan institusional : studi college adjustment terhadap mahasiswa tingkat pertama
Joining university for the first time is a challenging phase for first-year students. They are required to adapt not only to the academic context but to their personal, social, and emotional condition. The dynamics of college present a variety of challenges that arise as a result of the transition from high school to college. This study aims to analyze college adjustment of first-year students and the obstacles that arise from the academic, social, personal, and institutional dimensions. This study used mixed-method research. The sample was consisted of 235 first-year students of Al Azhar University (73.9% women) and filled out the Student Adaptation to College questionnaire. Qualitative data used purposive sampling to deepen the constraints felt by students in their first year. Semi structure interviews were conducted with 12 respondents to examine their experiences toward the first year of college. The results showed that 44.7% of first-year students had a low college adjustment level. Content analysis reveals that first-year students experienced varied academic, social, personal, and institutional problems. Therefore, the first-year student adapting process still needs attention from stakeholders
Hubungan kemampuan berpikir kritis mahasiswa dengan penggunaan media sosial terhadap capaian pembelajaran pada masa pandemi Covid-19
Online learning is an option to replace the face-to-face lecture system directly during the Covid-19 pandemic. This choice also coincides with the use of social media to support learning. This condition affects the critical thinking skills of students who are required to survive, adapt in order to attend lectures with the new system, students are required to be skilled in using social media, familiar with the online system so that they can keep up with all learning. This study aims to determine the correlation of critical thinking skills and the use of social media on learning outcomes in the online learning process during the Covid-19 pandemic. The policy of learning from home with online learning using social media such as Facebook, Instagram, and Youtube has become a policy set by the Universitas Kristen Indonesia for the implementation of lectures. This research uses a quantitative approach, with a correlation design conducted online to 254 students who are then analyzed using correlation analysis and multiple correlation analysis. The results showed that there was a positive correlation between (1) critical thinking with student learning outcomes (2) use of social media with student learning outcomes (3) critical thinking and use of social media with student learning outcomes means the results of the study, it can be concluded that there is a correlation between critical thinking and use of social media with student learning outcomes
Teacher strategies in online learning to increase students’ interest in learning during COVID-19 pandemic
Interest has a very important role in learning. This interest leads to motivation in learning and it can improve learning outcomes. This study focused on understanding and exploring the strategies used by teachers of SDIT Rabbi Radhiyya Curup to increase student's interest in learning and to express students' responses in Online learning during the COVID-19 pandemic. This research is qualitative research with a phenomenological approach in which the principal, the vice-principal of curriculum, the teachers, and students were the informants of this research. The data were collected by conducting semi-structured interviews which were analyzed by using the Miles and Huberman model. The results showed that the strategies used by the teacher to increase students' interest in learning were to provide students with an understanding of the importance of learning, to make learning material brief, clear, and interesting, to use simple and interesting media, and to conduct regular and continuous evaluations. Online learning, students get something fun, but they lack togetherness with their friends
Feasibility of material and media aspects of guidebook for group guidance implementation with the socratic method to increase anti-bullying awareness of middle school students
The aim of this study was to determine whether the guidance for implementing group guidance with the Socratic method to increase anti-bullying awareness of high school students meets the requirements from the material and media aspects. This research is a research and development (RnD) type which refers to the Borg development model. The data was collected using a material and media feasibility assessment sheet in the form of a scale. Assessment of the feasibility of the guide involves 2 expert lecturers. Scale data were analyzed using quantitative descriptive analysis method. The results of this study indicate that the guidebook for implementing group guidance with the Socratic method to increase anti-bullying awareness of high school students is declared very feasible both in the material and media aspects. Through these results it can be concluded that the guidebook for implementing group guidance with the Socratic method to increase anti-bullying awareness of high school students is ready to be tested on school counselor as users so that later development products are suitable for use as an alternative media for prevention bullying
Edupreneurship management in shaping the nation's character
The character cannot be directly obtained, it is instantaneous but requires time with the custom of academic habits to become a necessity and ultimately to get entrepreneurial skills, the purpose of identifying students' entrepreneurial skills in supporting the nation's character. Mix method with Convergence Model and t-test analysis shows that there are differences in indicators of student entrepreneurial skills with character education treatment and those that are not. There is the lowest indicator on creative thinking and responding to global problems by 60% enough categories. so it needs to be improved in further research with edupreneurship designs that are characterized in preparation, teaching materials, resources and learning media that are adapted to technological developments
Pengembangan dan validitas Pane Afdal Psychological Condition for Domestic Violance Inventory (PAPC-DVI)
Cases of domestic violence increase every year where the dominant victim is a wife. Many factors cause victims to receive violence, one of which is caused by psychological conditions. This study aims to develop and validate the inventory of Psychological Conditions of Afdal Pane for Domestic Violence (PAPC-DVI). This inventory will measure assertive behavior and resilience of victims of domestic violence as psychological conditions that cause victims to accept violence. Assertive behavior will measure positive assertiveness, self-affirmation, and negative assertiveness. resilience will measure equaminity, perseverance, self-reliance, meaningfulness, and existential aloneness. This research was conducted on 90 wives who experienced violence in the city of Padang using purposive sampling techniques. Furthermore, validity was analyzed using Cronbach's alpha item analysis which showed a coefficient α> .3, and the data showed that 36 PAPC-DVI items were valid. In addition, the alpha cronbach reliability value was also used to analyze the data and the results showed that the PAPC-DVI reliability coefficient for victims of domestic violence was 0.932. The results showed that PAPC-DVI in victims of domestic violence is valid in measuring psychological conditions that cause victims to receive violence so that this inventory can help in understanding psychological conditions that cause victims to receive violence and are ready to be used by subsequent researchers
Pengembangan modul bimbingan dan konseling untuk pengelolaan stres akademik siswa
The purpose of this study was to reveal whether the guidance and counseling module for the management of academic stress of students eligible materially and appearance, and to describe the usefulness level guidance and counseling module for the management of a student's academic stress by counselor. The method used in this research is model ADDIE. Research carried out by testing product research and FGD. The data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential analysis. The results showed that the guidance and counseling module for the management of a student's academic stress can be used as a media in the service guidance and counseling in school. Thus, prototype of guidance and counseling module for the management of a student's academic stress can be used by the counselor to help a student in academic stress anticipate in the learning process
Rasch stacking analysis of student internet addiction based on gender
Education always experiences change and development under developments in all areas of life. Rapid technological developments make it easier for humans to carry out their daily activities. Technology that is experiencing rapid development is an information technology, one of which is the internet. This study aims to describe differences in internet addiction between male and female students at Universitas Negeri Padang. Sample of this study was 258 students (47 male and 211 female). The analysis technique used is independent of sample t-test combined with a stacking Rasch model. The results of analysis showed that there was no difference in internet addiction between male and female students at Universitas Negeri Padang. Internet addiction of male and female students has no difference, it can see from the ability of students to answer instrument statements are the same this is show by the value of internet addiction (sig =.233), this states p-value> 0.05, which shows there is no significant difference in internet addiction between male and female students. It further states the discussion regarding counseling and guidance services
Language development and social emotions in children with speech delay: case study of 9 year olds in elementary school
This research was conducted to describe language development and social-emotional behavior that affect children with speech delays, ranging from early detection of language and speech problems, intervention programs, academic development in schools and social-emotional development and accompanying factors. children with late talk. This study is based on observations of a 9-year-old child, conducted from September 2018 to January 2019, with several data acquisitions since 2012 when early detection of language disorders and speech. It conducted the study using a qualitative approach with a case study method. Collecting data through observation, interviews and document studies. This study describes develop children with problems with speech and language delay (speech delay), seen from the cognitive, affective and psychomotor aspects and the influence of their social-emotional behavior. The findings in this study are social-emotional behaviors that have a major influence on develop children with language delay disorders, which require intervention programs suitable with the support of the family and the surrounding environment
Critical discourse analysis on gender relations: women's images in Sasak song
Sasak song as one form of artistic discourse is used as an instrument of male domination of women in gender relations through various forms of imaging that do not benefit women. The image is understood through the process and mechanism of work of critical discourse analysis. This study aims to reveal the image of women in the Sasak song by discovering the tendency of social construction in gender relations between men and women based on the principles of Critical Discourse Analysis. Through the position of the Sasak song text, the importance of the text, and the consequences of the text in the social reality of gender relations between men and women, found six images of women in the Sasak song text, namely women as male subordination; women as inferior, resigned women, cheap women, dependent women, and women without choice. As a text, discursive reasoning, and social reality, the results of the study show the tendency to dominate women who give birth to forms of discrimination. The six images of women in Sasak song texts are contained in works of art for the purpose of disguising the tendencies behind artistic elements, so that they are accepted as truth and reasonableness in history inherited between generations
