    No full text
This article explores the utilization of non-timber forest products (NTFPs) within the framework of forest management, particularly in the context of climate change. Employing a qualitative methodology through a comprehensive literature review, the study examines the significance of NTFPs in enhancing forest resilience and supporting local communities. The findings indicate that NTFPs play a crucial role in sustainable forest management by providing alternative livelihoods, contributing to biodiversity conservation, and mitigating the impacts of climate change. The research highlights the importance of integrating NTFPs into forest management strategies, emphasizing their potential to foster adaptive practices that enhance ecosystem services. Furthermore, the study identifies challenges such as overharvesting, lack of market access, and insufficient policy support that hinder the sustainable utilization of NTFPs. Recommendations are provided for policymakers and forest managers to promote the sustainable management of NTFPs, including the development of community-based management approaches and the establishment of fair trade practices. This article contributes to the understanding of the multifaceted role of NTFPs in forest ecosystems and underscores the need for innovative strategies that align conservation goals with the socio-economic needs of local communities in the face of climate change

Maintaining spiritual and balance technology in the AI era

    No full text
Artificial intelligence (AI) technology has brought about profound changes in many facets of human existence, posing new difficulties that have an impact on mental and spiritual equilibrium. With an emphasis on how people might stay connected to spiritual parts of life in the face of rapid change, this study examines the significance of preserving balance between spiritual ideals and technological advancements. To lessen the effects of "techno-stress" and alienation that people frequently experience in the digital age, an integrative strategy that incorporates mindfulness, religion-based ethics, traditional practices like meditation and dhikr, as well as universal moral standards, is suggested. While stressing the risks of utilizing AI technology without a solid ethical basis, this article also explores how it may aid in human spiritual development, for instance, through applications that promote meditation and introspection. Society may use AI as a tool to enhance life quality rather than merely increase efficiency if it embraces spirituality as a key component of interactions with the technology. This study provides guidance for creating a more meaningful and balanced existence in the high-tech age

    No full text
The research aims to describe how to design social studies teaching materials based on local wisdom with a Culturally Responsive Teaching approach. The research uses a qualitative descriptive approach. The procedure starts with determining the subject, namely the teacher; data collection from questionnaires and interviews on the use of teaching materials; reduction of the results of filling out questionnaires and interviews; classification, how to make, and understanding the importance of local wisdom as content of teaching materials; followed by the presentation of data and the drawing of conclusions. The research instrument used an analysis questionnaire of teaching materials and interview guidelines. Previous research shows that social studies teaching materials are still textual and have not yet contained local wisdom of the community as social and cultural capital. The study results explain how to design social studies teaching materials based on local wisdom with the CRT approach. The design of teaching materials with the CRT approach contains the values of local wisdom from the immediate environment of students. Developing teaching materials is carried out by analyzing Learning Outcomes, selecting social skills elements, determining social studies topics, and selecting local wisdom in the form of students' regions' social and cultural capital. Furthermore, the steps in designing teaching materials based on local wisdom with the CRT approach start from recognizing student culture, integrating cultural content, using varied methods, presenting diverse materials, and facilitating student involvement. The use of local wisdom with the CRT approach makes it easier for students to understand the broad concept of social studies

Enhancing self-regulated learning: the moderating role of social support in the relationship between authoritative parenting and student autonomy

    No full text
This study aims to investigate the influence of authoritative parenting style, social support, and self-regulated learning (SRL) ability in university students. The approach used is quantitative with a post-positivism view and ex post facto method. The research sample consisted of 80 early semester students at UIN Alauddin who were selected using the saturated sample method. Data were collected through a Likert scale-based questionnaire and analysed using SmartPLS version 4.0. The results showed that social support did not have a significant direct influence on SRL, with a coefficient (β) of 0.000 and a P-Value of 0.999, indicating that social support alone is not enough to improve SRL ability. However, authoritative parenting style had a significant influence on SRL with a coefficient of 0.627 and a P-Value of 0.000, indicating a strong positive relationship. This authoritative parenting style encourages students to be more independent, responsible, and more able to organise their learning independently. The interaction analysis shows that social support acts as a moderator that strengthens the relationship between authoritative parenting style and SRL. At high levels of social support, the positive impact of authoritative parenting style on SRL was greater, whereas at low levels of social support, this relationship weakened. In conclusion, social support strengthens the effectiveness of authoritative parenting style in improving SRL. Therefore, efforts to improve college students' SRL need to integrate adequate social support with a supportive parenting style. These findings provide implications for educational institutions and families in creating an environment that supports the development of students' self-regulation abilities in the early semesters

Ambidextrous leadership and innovative work behavior: the roles of self-efficacy, resilience, and organizational support

    No full text
This study aims to analyze the effect of ambidextrous leadership on innovative work behavior by considering the mediating role of innovative self-efficacy as well as the moderating effect of psychological resilience and perceived organizational support. This study was conducted in the manufacturing and service sectors in the West Java region involving 480 respondents working in 134 companies. Data were collected through a questionnaire survey and analyzed using the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) approach with the help of SmartPLS software. The results showed that ambidextrous leadership has a positive and significant effect on innovative work behavior. Innovative self-efficacy was shown to play a mediating role in the relationship, which means that an individual's belief in his or her ability to innovate strengthens the impact of ambidextrous leadership style on innovative behavior. In addition, psychological resilience moderated the relationship between ambidextrous leadership and innovative self-efficacy, while perceived organizational support moderated the relationship between innovative self-efficacy and innovative work behavior. Both moderator variables strengthen the relationship between variables when they are at high levels. The findings provide theoretical and practical implications, especially for organizations that want to build an innovative culture through strengthening leadership capacity and psychological factors and support perceived by employees. By creating a work environment that supports idea exploration and self-development, organizations can sustainably increase innovative work behavior

    No full text
This research aims to determine the influence of hedonic shopping motivation, shopping lifestyle, and store atmosphere on impulse buying among customers of the Aeon Mall BSD City department store. Impulse buying refers to consumer behavior where purchases are made spontaneously without prior planning, often driven by external factors or momentary emotions. The variables examined include hedonic shopping motivation, which refers to the consumer's drive to shop for enjoyment or entertainment; shopping lifestyle, which reflects an individual's habitual shopping patterns and preferences; and store atmosphere, encompassing physical environmental elements of the store such as lighting, layout, music, and scent. Data collection was conducted through a questionnaire distributed to 100 respondents selected using simple random sampling. The data was analyzed using SPSS version 20 to examine the relationship between the independent variables and impulse buying behavior. The results of this study indicate that hedonic shopping motivation significantly affects impulse buying, suggesting that the higher the motivation for enjoying the shopping experience, the greater the likelihood of making unplanned purchases. Additionally, shopping lifestyle was found to have an effect on impulse buying, with individuals who embrace a shopping-oriented lifestyle being more likely to engage in impulsive buying behavior. However, the analysis revealed that store atmosphere did not have a significant impact on impulse buying, indicating that the physical environmental factors of the store do not necessarily serve as key triggers for spontaneous purchases. This research provides valuable insights for retail management in designing more effective marketing strategies to encourage impulse buying behavior among consumers
