Enhancing student’s competence in writing autobiographies through interactive storytelling
The teaching of biographical recount texts in tenth grade often encounters obstacles such as low student comprehension, a lack of engagement in the learning process, and the use of conventional teaching methods that are less effective. This indicates a need for interactive learning media capable of enhancing student understanding and motivation. This research aims to develop interactive multimedia-based learning media for biographical recount text materials, which not only presents the material but also incorporates visual, audio, and video elements to increase student engagement. The focus of this study is to measure the effectiveness of the media in improving students' comprehension of biographical texts. This research employs the Research and Development (R&D) method, utilizing the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) development model. The subjects of the research were tenth-grade students at SMA Negeri 1 Tanjung Balai in the 2024-2025 academic year. Data were collected through questionnaires, learning achievement tests, and interviews. Effectiveness testing was conducted by comparing the learning outcomes of students who used interactive media with those who used conventional teaching methods. The results showed that interactive multimedia-based learning media had an effectiveness rate of 84.28%, which is categorized as very good. The average score of students who used the interactive media was 84.3, which is higher than the average score of students who used conventional methods, which was 65.1
Hubungan peran orang tua dengan resiliensi akademik siswa sekolah menengah atas di Kalimantan Barat: bahasa indonesia
Penelitian ini mengkaji hubungan peran orang tua dengan resiliensi akademik siswa SMA di Kalimantan Barat. Resiliensi akademik dipahami sebagai kemampuan siswa untuk bertahan, bangkit, melakukan adaptasi positif terhadap tekanan akademik, emosi dan sosial yang berkaitan dengan proses belajar. Fokus penelitian pada peran orang tua didasarkan pada pentingnya dukungan keluarga dalam membentuk ketahanan siswa. Peran orang tua diukur berdasarkan teori Baumrind yaitu pola asuh authoritarian, autoritatif dan permisif yang diukur melalui skala validasi ahli dan meliputi aspek dukungan emosional, pengasuhan serta keterlibatan dalam pendidikan siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain deskriptif korelasional. Sampel penelitian ini terdiri dari 104 siswa kelas XII dari tiga SMA yang dipilih melalui teknik cluster random sampling. Instrument yang digunakan berupa skala resiliensi akademik (28 aitem) dan skala peran orang tua (16 aitem), dianalisis menggunakan korelasi product moment dengan bantuan SPSS versi 23. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat hubungan peran orang tua dengan resiliensi akademik siswa (r = 0,359, p <0,01), dengan kekuatan hubungan tergolong rendah. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa persepsi positif siswa terhadap keterlibatan dan dukungan orang tua berkaitan dengan tingkat resiliensi akademik siswa yang lebih tinggi. Data deskriptif menunjukkan 75,9% siswa menilai peran orang tua dalam kategori tinggi sementara 42,3% siswa memiliki tingkat resiliensi akademik yang tinggi. Implikasi praktis mencangkup perlunya pelatihan pola asuh sesuai dengan nilai budaya lokal Kalimantan Barat, serta program intervensi berbasis keluarga. Principal's strategy in improving superior education quality: a case study at muhammadiyah elementary school
This study aims to analyze strategies to improve the quality of education, analyze the external and internal environment, coordinate with the principal. This research method uses a qualitative approach, through interviews with key informants, observations of actual events, analyzing documentation. The results of the study indicate that the principal's strategy in improving the quality of education includes: 1) Planning is the process of setting organizational goals, developing strategies to achieve those goals, and making action plans that support the achievement of those organizational goals 2) Strategy implementation is the phase where management translates strategic plans and policies into real actions through program development, budgeting, and procedures 3) Evaluation is a series of activities designed to measure the success of a program. In management, expertise is needed to manage and control various elements of the organization in order to achieve the desired goals. 4) The obstacles faced are human error, lack of infrastructure
Efektivitas assessment center dalam seleksi dan promosi jabatan di polri
Globalisasi dan kemajuan teknologi menuntut organisasi sektor publik, termasuk Kepolisian Negara Republik Indonesia (Polri), untuk meningkatkan profesionalisme dan kualitas sumber daya manusia (SDM). Assessment Center (AC) merupakan metode berbasis kompetensi yang diadopsi Polri sejak 2009 untuk mendukung proses seleksi dan promosi jabatan secara objektif dan transparan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis efektivitas AC dalam lingkungan Polri melalui pendekatan literature review sistematis terhadap berbagai publikasi ilmiah, laporan institusi, dan kebijakan resmi. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa meskipun AC memiliki validitas prediktif tinggi dan telah menunjukkan kontribusi terhadap peningkatan profesionalisme, implementasinya masih menghadapi tantangan, seperti keterbatasan asesor terlatih, biaya tinggi, serta resistensi internal. Dibandingkan dengan praktik di negara lain seperti China dan Singapura, AC di Polri belum sepenuhnya terintegrasi dengan sistem manajemen kinerja berbasis data. Oleh karena itu, dibutuhkan reformasi pelatihan asesor, penguatan transparansi, serta adopsi evaluasi berbasis kinerja pasca-promosi untuk mengoptimalkan peran AC dalam membangun kepemimpinan Polri yang kompeten dan akuntabel
Relationship between complex feeding behavior and nutritional status of children aged 6-24 months
Introduction Some people who hold the view that a healthy baby is a fat baby, do not think that the fulfillment of nutrition is not measurable and will play a role in the occurrence of excessive feeding including the provision of complementary foods (MP ASI). The study aims to determine the relationship between the behavior of providing MP-ASI with the nutritional status of children aged 6-24 months in the Mandiri Village UPTD Tomoni Health Center, East Luwu Regency. Method This research was conducted in Desa Mandiri UPTD Puskesmas Tomoni. The quantitative research method used a cross-sectional approach, a sample of 50 infants aged 6-24 months with a sample technique using accidental sampling. The research instruments were questionnaires and anthropometric measurements. The data analysis technique used the chi-square test. Results The study showed that the Asyimp Sig (2Sided) obtained 0.000 (α<0.05 ) and it can be concluded that there is a significant relationship between the behavior of providing complementary feeding and the nutritional status of children aged 6-24 months in the Mandiri Village, UPTD Tomoni Health Center, East Luwu Regency. Conclusion that there is a significant relationship between the behavior of providing complementary feeding with the nutritional status of children aged 6-24 months . For this reason, researchers hope that this study can be used as a form of routine activity to increase students' insight into children's nutritional status
Model manajemen pendidikan berbasis efikasi diri, penerimaan diri, dan regulasi emosi untuk optimalisasi kinerja guru bimbingan dan konseling
Penelitian ini mengembangkan model manajemen pendidikan untuk meningkatkan kinerja guru bimbingan dan konseling dengan menganalisis pengaruh efikasi diri, penerimaan diri, regulasi emosi, dan motivasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa efikasi diri memengaruhi motivasi (0,607) dan regulasi emosi (0,777), sementara penerimaan diri berkontribusi terhadap motivasi (0,694), efikasi diri (0,809), dan kinerja (0,691). Regulasi emosi meningkatkan motivasi (0,691) dan kinerja (0,634), sedangkan motivasi memiliki pengaruh langsung terhadap kinerja (0,434). Analisis jalur mediasi menunjukkan efek tidak langsung melalui efikasi diri (0,030), penerimaan diri (0,088), dan regulasi emosi (0,300). Penerimaan diri menjadi fondasi utama dalam pengembangan efikasi diri dan regulasi emosi untuk mendukung motivasi dan kinerja. Model ini memberikan wawasan strategis bagi pengembangan kebijakan pendidikan untuk meningkatkan profesionalisme guru bimbingan dan konseling
The role of POAC management functions in enhancing the quality of counseling guidance services for students in schools in Indonesia
Guidance and counseling (BK) services in schools often face issues such as lack of coordination, limited resources, and low student participation. These challenges stem from the suboptimal implementation of the POAC (Planning, Organizing, Actuating, and Controlling) management functions by school counselors. This study aims to analyze the influence of each POAC function on the quality of BK services in junior high schools (SMP) in South Jakarta. The research employs a quantitative approach, with data collected through surveys of 52 BK teachers. Quantitative data were analyzed using multiple linear regression.The results indicate that all POAC variables significantly influence the quality of BK services (p-value < 0.01). Planning has the strongest influence (β = 0.01), followed by organizing (β = 0.00), actuating (β = 0.00), and controlling (β = 0.00). Collectively, the POAC functions explain 72% of the variation in the quality of BK services. In conclusion, the optimal implementation of POAC functions can enhance the quality of BK services. This study recommends management training for BK teachers and the development of operational guidelines for effective POAC implementation. The findings provide practical contributions to improving BK services in schools and enrich empirical evidence on the importance of POAC management in the context of Indonesian education
Job satisfaction and work discipline improve employee performance: a case study
Human resources are important in achieving the company's goals, especially with labor-intensive characteristics such as industrial manufacturing. PT. DSI is one of Indonesia's automotive component manufacturing companies that has problems related to human resource productivity and rejected product ratios. This study examined the influence of job satisfaction and work discipline on the performance of factory employees at PT. DSI. This study uses a quantitative approach. The population in this study were all PT DSI factory employees, totaling 185 people. Based on the Slovin formula with a sampling error of 5%, the sample size was 127 respondents. The sampling method is purposive sampling. The data analysis technique used Smart PLS 3.2.9 as a tool. The results show that job satisfaction has a positive significant effect on the performance of factory employees either directly or mediated by work discipline, work discipline has a positive significant effect on the performance of factory employees, and job satisfaction has a significant positive effect on work discipline. The strategic implication of this research is the need for management to increase supervision of employee work discipline both in fulfilling attendance and standard operating procedures, as well as the need to pay attention to employee satisfaction
Hubungan gejala stres, religiusitas, dan strategi koping dengan kesejahteraan subjektif keluarga pada kehamilan tidak diinginkan
Kehamilan yang tidak diinginkan merupakan permasalahan kependudukan yang dapat berdampak negatif terhadap kesejahteraan keluarga, baik secara psikologis, sosial, maupun ekonomi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan antara gejala stres, religiusitas, strategi koping, dan kesejahteraan subjektif keluarga dalam konteks kehamilan tidak diinginkan. Menggunakan desain cross-sectional study, penelitian dilakukan di Kota dan Kabupaten Bekasi, Jawa Barat, yang dipilih berdasarkan tingginya angka kehamilan tidak diinginkan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa gejala stres berpengaruh positif terhadap peningkatan religiusitas dan strategi koping, yang menunjukkan bahwa individu cenderung mencari makna spiritual dan mengembangkan mekanisme pertahanan diri saat menghadapi tekanan. Religiusitas juga ditemukan berkontribusi positif terhadap strategi koping dan kesejahteraan subjektif keluarga. Namun, faktor eksternal seperti stigma sosial dan kondisi ekonomi tetap memengaruhi kesejahteraan secara keseluruhan. Temuan ini menggarisbawahi pentingnya intervensi berbasis komunitas yang mengintegrasikan aspek religius dan strategi koping adaptif untuk mendukung keluarga dalam mengatasi dampak kehamilan tidak diinginkan. Selain itu, kebijakan yang memperluas akses terhadap layanan kesehatan mental dan edukasi reproduksi menjadi krusial dalam upaya meningkatkan kesejahteraan keluarga
Sand tray therapy for reducing post-traumatic stress disorder (ptsd) and enhancing well-being in children and adolescents
Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) is a mental health issues that is commonly experienced by children and adolescents as a result of traumatic events such as natural disasters, social conflicts, and violence. The high prevalence of PTSD among children and adolescents requires further intervention due to the risk of long-term psychological impacts. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of Sand Tray Therapy in reducing PTSD symptoms and improving well-being in children and adolescents. The study uses an A-B-A-B experimental design, which is a variation of the single subject design (SSD), involving five subjects who were selected through a screening process and considered as representative of a population with PTSD and low psychological well-being. The research instruments used are the Posttraumatic Stress Disorder Checklist (PCL-5) and Ryff’s Psychological Well-Being Scales (PWB). Data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test to compare PTSD and well-being scores between phases, and Cohen's d was used to measure the effect size of changes between phases. The results of this study indicate that sand tray therapy has a clinically significant positive effect in reducing PTSD symptoms and improving psychological well-being. Thus, this method can be considered an alternative psychological intervention for children and adolescents who suffer from PTSD and require an improvement in psychological well-being
