    Web-based learning management system as media in teaching ESP for mathematics students in higher education

    This study examines the techniques used by ESP Math lecturers, the challenges they have in providing ESP learning materials, how they overcome these challenges, and the implications for ESP design. This study employed a qualitative research design by interviewing five ESP Mathematics lecturers teaching at STKIP PGRI Sidoarjo in the 2022-2023 academic year. 15 items of interview guidelines were prepared to gain a deeper understanding of what respondents have done in implementing the techniques of teaching ESP for Mathematics. The data were then examined using an interactive analysis process. The survey found that several of the lecturers had issues with vocabulary, pronunciation, grammar, and speaking fluency. The instructors overcame the obstacles by working together with other instructors and studying from printed and digital resources to better their command of the English language. Additionally, they utilized a web-based learning management system to aid in their education and facilitate the creation of instructional materials. It meant that the development of ESP for math educators had to concentrate on four areas: vocabulary, pronunciation, grammar, and fluency. The ESP curriculum might be developed using any number of platforms, including ones that cater to linguistics and mathematics

    Karate athletes must master mawashi geri. To maximize athlete performance, Resistance and Plyometric Training Methods must be used. This study examines how resistance and plyometric training affect Mawashi Geri's proficiency. Simalungun junior karate practitioner Putera Dojo Tako. A 2x2 factorial experimental design is used in this investigation. The study included 32 Simalungun-based junior karate athletes from Putera Dojo Tako. Grid concentration and mawashi geri kicking proficiency tests were used. Two-way ANOVA and the Tukey test were used to analyze the data. The research shows that resistance and plyometric training improve karate contestants' mawasahi geri kicks. Next, strength training and plyometric training affect karate athletes' mawasahi geri kick performance. At Dojo Tako in Simalungun, male junior karate participants' mawasahi geri kicks varied, especially when performed with attention and passion. Male junior karate athletes at Dojo Tako, Simalungun Regency, who received resistance and low-intensity plyometric training showed variances in mawasahi geri kicking proficienc

    Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh adanya peserta didik pada keluarga broken home yang memperlihatkan perilaku afeksi overpersonal seperti berkasih sayang, bercinta (berpacaran) di luar batas kewajaran di lingkungan sekolah. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menerapkan konseling model Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT) dalam mengentaskan perilaku afeksi overpersonal berbasis curahan kasih sayang pada peserta didik broken home. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan jenis eksperimen one group pre test – post test design.  Populasi penelitian ini adalah semua peserta didik yang mengalami broken home di SMP Muhammadiyah 6 Padang yang berjumlah 35 orang peserta didik, dan sampelnya adalah peserta didik yang mengalami perilaku afeksi overpersonal pada keluarga broken home dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Alat pengumpul data yang digunakan adalah kuesioner dan teknik analisis datanya dengan menggunkan persentase dengan cara membandingkah hasil pre - test dan post-test. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa tingkat afeksi overpersonal berbasis curahan kasih sayang pada peserta didik yang mengalami broken home sebelum diberikan perlakuan berada pada kategori tinggi dengan persentase 100% dan tingkat afeksi overpersonal berbasis curahan kasih sayang pada peserta didik broken home setelah diberikan perlakuan berada pada kategori rendah dengan persentasenya 60% dan kategori sangat rendah dengan persentasenya 40%. Hasil penelitian membuktikan bahwa penerapan konseling model REBT dalam mengentaskan afeksi overpersonal berbasis curahan kasih sayang pada anak broken home baik untuk digunakan para Guru BK

    Dalam beberapa tahun terakhir, kumpulan bukti telah meyakinkan bahwa lingkungan kerja merupakan faktor penting kesehatan mental pekerja. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan terkait penelitian tentang Kesehatan mental pekerja dan sebagai bahan tambahan pemahaman tentang berbagai penelitian pada topik Kesehatan mental pekerja. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan bibliometric. Data diambil pada tahun 1953-2023 dengan jumlah publikasi sebanyak 484 dokumen tanpa dilakukan limitasi dalam bentuk apapun. Sumber data dilakukan pada database scopus. Analisis dilakukan dengan bantuan software openrefine, vosviewer, dan Rstudio. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Kesehatan mental pekerja saat ini masih menjadi topik yang dibicarakan meskipun penelitian fokus pada hasil Analisa keyword fokus terbesar pada topik Kesehatan mental. Namun dalam praktiknya peneliti banyak fokus pada Kesehatan mental pekerja selama masa covid 19. Negara dengan tingkat publikasi tertinggi terkait tema ini adalah United State dan Canada. Sedangkan penulis yang aktif dalam publikasi topik Kesehatan mental pekerja yakni Tsutsumi A dan Kawakami N. sebagai prediksi tema di masa depan ada beberapa diantaranya terkait Kesehatan mental, depresi dan juga professional perawatan Kesehatan

    Guru yang memiliki karakteristik dispositional mindfulness akan mampu menerima dan menghadapi setiap kenyataan dalam melaksanakan tanggung jawabnya sebagai pengajar dengan penuh perhatian, kesadaran, dan ketenangan. Salah satu upaya yang dapat dilakukan untuk meningkatkan karakteristik dispositional mindfulness adalah dengan melakukan internalisasi budaya damai Nosarara Nosabatutu sebagai nilai-nilai kearifan lokal masyarakat Suku Kaili di Sulawesi Tengah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi peran budaya damai Nosarara Nosabatutu dalam meningkatkan dispositional mindfulness pada guru. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian mixed method dengan partisipan para guru di SMP Negeri 5 di Kabupaten Sigi, Sulawesi Tengah. Teknik sampling yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah quota sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan skala dispositional mindfulness, inventori budaya damai, dan focus group discussion. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis statistik deskriptif dan analisis tema. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa budaya damai Nosarara Nosabatutu yang sudah terinternalisasi pada para guru dapat membantu mereka dalam mengembangkan dispositional mindfulness. Penelitian ini dapat berkontribusi terhadap pengembangan literatur mindfulness dalam konteks bimbingan dan konseling. Temuan penelitian ini selanjutnya dapat menjadi acuan bagi pengembangan model intervensi mindfulness berbasis budaya damai Nosarara Nosabatutu untuk optimalisasi kompetensi sosial emosional pada guru di Sulawesi Tengah

    A comparison of personality type congruence with learning achievement of students from the primary school teacher education program at Adzkia University

    Personality type can be defined as an image of oneself manifested publicly. John Lewis Holland argues that personality type influences career choices and job satisfaction. Holland's Career Theory states that the most congruent personality types for a teacher's career are social, entrepreneurial, and artistic personality. The personality types that are less suited for a teaching role include the investigative, conventional, and realistic types. This research aimed to compare the congruence or incompatibility of personality types with the learning achievement of Primary School Teacher Education students at Adzkia University. This comparative quantitative study used the personality test arranged based on the concept of Hexagonal Theory by John Holland. The research sample comprised 161 selected using a simple random sampling technique. The research results show that 60% of the students' personality is congruent with their job as a teacher, whereas the remaining 40% shows the opposite. The average academic achievement of student’s personality congruent with their job as a teacher is 81.6, while student personality opposite is 78.9. There is only a 2.1 point difference between the two. Furthermore, there is no difference in the learning achievement of students with the congruent personality type and those without. The hypothesis test result shows that personality type has no impact on learning achievement

    Fundamental karate movement techniques (Kihon) are taught to students. Karate's fundamental techniques consist of blocks, strikes, jabs, and kicks. Karate novices are required to master kihon, or fundamental techniques, from which further training is derived. The effect of rigid and repetitive training methods on students is one of boredom and saturation. A method employed to enhance students' proficiency in kihon is the utilization of visual media. The objective of this study is to compare the impact of video media and poster image learning in high-concentration and low-concentration groups on the Kihon ability of SMPN 23 Pekanbaru extracurricular karate students.The experimental methodology utilized in this investigation is a 2x2 factorial experimental design. The study's population comprises 60 pupils enrolled in extracurricular karate at SMPN 23 Pekanbaru. The sample consisted of 16 students, which were divided into two groups. The data were analyzed utilizing two-way ANOVA and the T-test. Conclusions of the investigation The impact of video media and poster images in the classroom on the kihon abilities of students varies, irrespective of their placement in the high-concentration or low-concentration group under instruction. Students' kihon abilities are not influenced by the utilization of video media and poster images to acquire knowledge, irrespective of their placement in the high-concentration or low-concentration group.The mean difference in learning outcomes between video media and poster images was notably greater in both the high-concentration and low-concentration groups when compared to learning via poster images

    Kekerasan seksual berdampak banyak pada aspek-aspek kehidupan korbannya. kekerasan seksual berdampak pada penurunan fungsi kognitif yang selanjutnya berdampak pada kemampuan akademis. Korban kekerasan seksual pun memperlihatkan masalah perilaku yang bentuknya internalisasi (menarik diri) dan eksternalisasi (memberontak atau mengganggu orang lain), hal ini memungkinkan para korban mengalami hambatan dalam menyesuaikan diri di perguruan tinggi. Penelitian ini bertujuan meneliti mengenai korelasi antara fungsi kognitif dengan penyesuaian perguruan tinggi pada mahasiswa korban kekerasan seksual. Partisipan berjumlah 60 orang mahasiswa dengan usia rata-rata 21,6 tahun, yang terdiri dari perempuan sebanyak 58,33%, serta berdomisili di kota Bandung. Alat ukur menggunakan kuesioner adjustment to college (SACQ), dan tes fungsi kognitif menggunakan The Indonesian Version of Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA-Ina). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat korelasi positif yang signifikan antara fungsi kognitif dengan penyesuaian perguruan tinggi pada mahasiswa korban kekerasan seksual. Penelitian ini melengkapi referensi mengenai dampak kekerasan seksual dalam seting pendidikan di perguruan tinggi, serta diharapkan dapat menjadi bahan rujukan dalam menyusun intervensi guna membantu para korban kekerasan seksual menyelesaikan pendidikannya

    Non-Suicidal Self-Injury (NSSI) behavior is carried out as an effort to avoid thought, feeling, somatic sensation or other internal experiences that are uncomfortable or troublesome. The intervention carried out using Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to increase psychological flexibility targeted at avoiding experiences or tendencies to avoid unwanted thoughts or emotions. This research aims to provide NSSI behavioral intervention which is carried out using the Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) as an effort to change positive behavior through a process of acceptance, attention and behavior change. The population in this research is students of SMAN 1 Bogor and the sample was taken using purposive sampling technique with the characteristics of conducting NSSI for 1 year, so three people are selected as samples who have met the criteria. This research is designed using single subject research with the ABA model and analyzed using inferential statistics. By using the Difficulties in Emotion Regulation (DERS) instrument, the results obtained in the baseline phase (A1) are an average score of 99.6; intervention phase (B) obtained an average score of 80.9; and at baseline (A2) an average score of 63.8 is obtained. This means that there is a decrease in the graph of NSSI behavior at each intervention session using ACT. This research provides information that using (ACT) can reduce NSSI behavior in students

    Self-management intervention model for optimizing psychological well-being in patients with colorectal stoma

    A stoma can increase life expectancy and support health recovery but brings several physical and psychosocial issues. Psychosocial resilience is critical in dealing with these changes. This study aims to provide new insights into the interaction between self-management and psychosocial resilience in colorectal cancer stoma patients. This research employs a qualitative design with a case study approach. The study involves colorectal cancer patients with completed primary cancer-related therapies, totaling eight individuals. The informants also include family members of the patients (eight individuals) and volunteer nurses within the community (three individuals). The research instrument is an interview guide structured around five themes. Data analysis follows qualitative stages, encompassing reduction, presentation, and conclusion. Triangulation techniques are utilized to ensure the validity of the findings. The findings suggest that collaboration between family, community, and nurses can provide comprehensive support. However, a structured and focused self-management intervention model is needed to improve psychosocial consistency and resilience. Three models were proposed, namely Family Therapy, Online Community Support, and Nurse Integration in Self-Management, hoping to provide more specific guidance and support for patients. This study provides a basis for developing more varied intervention models and a comprehensive understanding of self-management of colorectal cancer stoma patients
