HUBUNGAN ANTARA KARAKTERISTIK LOKASI CAMERA TRAP DENGAN KEBERHASILAN PEREKAMAN BADAK JAWA (Rhinoceros sondaicus Desmarest 1822) DI TAMAN NASIONAL UJUNG KULON
Inventory of the rare javan rhino population keep doing continuously to know the trend of javan rhino population. However, inventory of javan rhino population hard to be done by people because javan rhino very sensitive to human presence. Inventory of javan rhino has improved by using camera trap but not every camera trap effective on capture the javan rhino. One of the problem is the location of camera trap not appropriate with javan rhino movement. Therefore, analizing correlation between characteristic of camera trap site with the success of recording javan rhino is necessary. The objective of this research is to identify the correlation between some of the characteristic of camera trap site which is estimated related to the success of recording javan rhino. The result of this research indicates that distance between camera trap with feces, footprint, human track and topography has correlation with the amount of javan rhino clip. KAJIAN BEBAN PENCEMARAN LIMBAH USAHA KECIL DI SUNGAI CILIWUNG SEGMEN KOTA BOGOR
Ciliwung River had existed and become an important part of the community since ancient period. However, along with the passing period and the rapid development, it had become polluted with various waste and garbage being disposed off to the river from its upstream to its downstream segments. Among the industry were the tofu (soybean curd), tempe (fermented soybean cake), tapioca flour, and cow husbandry businesses. The calculation resulted in a total of pollution load from small businesses of 605.5 ton/year which caused the water of Ciliwung River had the BOD of 174.5 mg/l in the dry season and 1.62 mg/l in the rainy season due to its debit in both season. The load of pollution in Ciliwung River caused by small businesses should be controlled in accordance with its capacity to hold pollution. The strategy should include lowering pollution load disposed off by the small businesses, arranging the spatial distribution of the businesses, and developing environmental friendly/green technology for the businesses. The Regency of Yapen Islands is very potential and feasible to develop as a tourism attraction object. However, the present ecotourism management has not run optimally because of several constraints such as institutional capacity of ecotourism management, attraction management, spatial planning of tourism, promotion and marketing as well as regional security. With these objective conditions, the applicable strategy in the tourism development is at present the pessimistic strategy with the following efforts: (1) arrangement of tourism space, (2) development of attraction management (3) development of promotion and marketing, (4) development of regulations and management in ecotourism organization, and (5) creation of a conducive and secure situation both within and outside the tourist area.
