The Effect of Visitor Satisfaction Level on Willingness to Pay at Plengkung, in Alas Purwo National Park
One of ecotourism destinations in Indonesia is located in the Plengkung Beach at Alas Purwo National Park, Banyuwangi, East Java. Plengkung is one of the world\u27s best locations for surfing activities which can be equated with Hawaii, Australia and South Africa. It was attract tourists to visit Plengkung. Each investor should pay attention to visitor satisfaction in order to maintain and increase the number of visitors. However, visitor satisfaction could be reflected through the improvement of service quality. The purpose of this study was to measure the level of visitor satisfaction based on service quality at PT Plengkung Indah Wisata and PT Wanasari Pramudita Ananta in Plengkung, to measure the value of ecotourism satisfaction using the willingness to pay (WTP) approach and to know the effect of visitor satisfaction level on WTP after doing ecotourism activities. The research was conducted in June-October 2016 with data collection method using quesionnaires, interviews and literature studies. The effect of visitor satisfaction level on WTP of ecotourism activities in Plengkung was analyzed using bivariate correlation analysis (parson correlation coefficient) with p-value <0,05. The results showed that PT WPA had better service quality, hence it got higher satisfaction score which is 4,8. The WTP in PT WPA was greater than PT PIW, that is Rp 15.452.370 since PT WPA had a higher level of visitor satisfaction than PT PIW. The correlation test results proved that the level of visitor satisfaction significantly affect the WTP with a value of 0,031.Keyword: ecotourism, visitor satisfaction level, WTP
Promotions Effectiveness of Kawah Putih Ecotourism by Perhutani’s Independenly Bussines Unit I
This research is intended to measure the effectiveness of the promotion of Wana Wisata Kawah Putih and the calculation of satisfaction, expectation and pereferensi of tourists managed KBM WIJAS 1 Perhutani. Campaign effectiveness can be measured using the EPIC model method. Epic model developed by AC Nielsen, measurement in terms of dimension, empathy, persuasion, impact and communication. Using quantitative methods, and using a sample of 100 respondents taken at random in Wana Wisata Kawah Putih Ciwidey Bandung. Respons to assess promotion of empathy, persuasion, impact and communication dimensions, satisfaction, expectations and preferences. The result of this research is the promotion of KBM Wijas 1 Perhutani rather effective in representing Wana Wisata Kawah Putih in Ciwidey. Satisfaction, expectation, and level of information preferences are very high on the promotion made by KBM WIJAS 1 Perhutani. Thus the results of the study is expected to be a reference for the development of KBM Wijas 1 Perhutani in Ciwidey to increase the number of visitors.Keywords: ciwidey, effective, epic, Perhutani, promotio
Calculation Methods of Topographic Factors Modification Using Data Digital Elevation Model (DEM) To Predict Erosion
Erosion is a crucial information for sustainable management of land resources within a particular watershed. The information of erosion is needed for land resource management planning, and is generally counted by USLE (Universal Soil Loss Equation). One of the parameters in USLE is topographic factor (LS). The determinations of LS in erosion estimation model are vary, both in terms of LS factor equation, as well as in terms of the length of the slope (λ) and slope (s) measurements. There are at least 3 methods used to calculate slope factors in spatial operation, i.e (1) Input of the LS Value from Table (INT), (2) Flow accumulation, and (3) Cell Size. The study was designed to obtain a method of calculation that gives the smallest topographic factor and in order to obtain a LS factors that similar to the slope information. Research location in Kampa Sub watershed, The LS determination in Kampa Sub watershed basically are with (INT) and without calculating λ and s. INT method is determination without calculating λ and s, LS value is generate from the contour map and DEM SRTM by giving LS value from table reference of LS value. The Flow Accumulation and Cell Size are determination of LS Value by calculating λ and s. The Flow Accumulation method modifies the determination of λ and s using the middle value of s, λ per land use, and λ and s per cell. Cell Size method determines λ using the amount of cell size. The results showed that the “cell size” and "INT" methods were the best method for topographic factor (LS) calculation, because LS value of “cell size” and "INT" methods are smaller than the flow accumulation method and the LS value similar to the slope information. Technical Suitability Analysis of Enviromental NGO in Reforestation Activities
The greening movement initiated by Neo Goverment Organisation (NGO) is considered not capable of providing optimal and sustainable environmental improvements. Though their growth in Indonesia continues to increase (in 2000 years the number reached 13.400) accompanied by large funding in the form of grants from state, private and or donor agencies; especially related to reforestation activities. To this end, this research is conducted to analyze the technical suitability of enviromental NGO in reforestation activities on conformity aspects; location, material, and time. However, these 3 aspects are one of the main factors determining the success of plant life. The study was conducted on environmental NGO in 3 different regions (Yogyakarta, Kolaka District and Muna). Data collection using closed questionnaire (close ended quetionnaire) with scoring system. To interpret each value, a temporary phenomenology approach is used to see how different views of each stakeholders are used Kruskall Wallis analysis. The results of the elitist findings indicate that the technical suitability of environmental NGO in reforestation activities is poor (score 2) both in terms of site suitability, material and time. IDENTIFIKASI FAKTOR SEBARAN MACAN DAHAN (Neofelis diardi Cuvier, 1823) DI EKOSISTEM RAWA GAMBUT, TAMAN NASIONAL SEBANGAU
The Sunda clouded leopard (Neofelis diardi Cuvier, 1823) is the largest predator and the keystone species on Borneo Island. Therefore, the existence of N. diardi is very important to maintain the stability and healthy of ecosystems in Kalimantan Forest. Sebangau National Park (SNP), Central Kalimantan Province is one of the important habitats for this species because it is formed by peat swamp ecosystem and it has function to maintain the balance of the global climate. Data of the distribution factors of N. diardi were expected to used for monitoring and inventorying of population this species, especially in SNP. Data collection was conducted from June until November 2014 through methods of 12 track-sets; 9 units camera traps; and signs of animal presence likely footprints, feces, claws, scratches, scrapes, and vocalizations in 2 grids, each size 6 x 6 km2. This study results show that the distribution of N. diardi is affected by five factors namely, the distance from water source (P = 0,002); the distance from the potential of disturbance (P = 0,017); forest canopy density (P= 0,04); peat depth (P = 0,002); and habitat types in the SNP (P = 0,011). Only the altitude factor does not affect the distribution of N. diardi (P = 0,064) at SNP. Furthermore, this study also indicates that the presence and abundance of animal preys as another factor affecting the distribution of N. diardi at SNP. This condition is caused by the tendency of N. diardi encounter in a RAI values of animal preys on medium-grade (9,38; 10,53) and high (14,52; 18,60; 18,60). Finally, this study also demonstrates that the existence of N. diardi can be considered as an indicator species for forest in good condition. The Economic Value of Baluran National Park Natural Resources Utilization by Wonorejo Villagers, Situbondo District East Java
Baluran National Park ( TNB ) managed not only to preserve the ecological function but also be able to confers a benefit for the people around them. One of the benefits felt by the communities from the existence of TNB is the economic value from natural resources utilization. This research aimed to calculate economic value and community dependency toward TNB natural resources also legal aspect of the utilization. This research conducted in march 2016 in Wonorejo Village. Data collection carried out by interviews, focus group discussions (FGD), field observation and literature study. The research results show that economic value of natural resources utilization by society worth of 973.799.746,00. Wonorejo sociesty having high dependency toward TNB natural resources. Natural resources withdrawal by the society is not only conducted in Traditional Zone of TNB but also reach Rimba Zone even Core Zone. The Analysis of Ecotourism Laws and Policies in Indonesia
This study aimed to analyze the chain posture, substantial content and time span of ecotourism laws and policies in Indonesia. The instrumentused in this research was closed ended questionare, which was then analyzed using One Score One Criteria System. In various criteria, the subtantialcontent of all ecotourism laws and policies in Indonesia showed a score of 5 or a rather good meaning. This non-optimal value can be said to have noclarity of comprehensive and structured objectives so that the dynamics of the substantial content in the law is still partial. Above that, it must beunderstood that ecotourism should not be interpreted as a journey to the natural in remote area only, but it must be enforced in every space oftourism destinations. Based on the research results on the legislation documents including (Laws, Government Regulations, Presidential Regulations,Presidential Decrees, Ministerial Regulations) it was found that between mandatory rules and implementing regulations were not set within a periodof about 2 years accordingly. Therefore, it is necessary for the integration of stakeholders to revise the various ecotourism laws and policies inIndonesia comprehensively, systematically and objectively so that in the dynamics of its implementation can optimize the seven pillars of ecotourismdevelopment.Keywords: analysis, criteria, law and policy
Bioecological and Ecotourism Development Strategy of Whale Shark-Rhincodon Typus in Teluk Cenderwasih National Park
A study on whale sharks have been carried out in Teluk Cenderawasih National Park (TCNP) on May-June 2014. The objectives of this studywere to analysis bioecological of whale shark, the perceptions of local communities and tourists on whale shark ecotourism development and toformulate the ecotourism development strategy in TCNP. Data were collected through observations and and counting the number of whale sharks,gender identification and age categories, and estimation of body length; measurement of some environmental variables (sea surface temperature,salinity, sea brightness); and regarding their perception of whale sharks as objects of tourist attraction. The result showed that the generally thewhale sharks come to the surface in waters that there are many bagan fisheries that many fish in the net. Whale sharks feed and come to the surfacein the fishing platform in the morning until noon with a duration of 15-30 minutes. Physical enviroment conditions of sea in TCNP were temperatures28-31°C; salinity 33-34‰ and sea brightness 7-12 m. The total number of the emergence of the whale sharks was 30 times and identified as 15animals, all young males, measuring between 3 and 6 m, generally do not have injuries. The perseptions of local communities about development ofwhale shark ecotourism were positive and will be supported this program. Generally, most tourists, of which 87,88% of them were foreigners, gavepositive perceptions on whale shark attractions in TCTN, from attractive to very attractive, although there are some aspects of travel managementsthat need to be improved, such as the availability of information services, tourist guides, and the comfort level. Some development strategies must bedone, i.e. continuous monitoring of whale shark, human resource capacity building, provision of tourist support infrastructure, coordination andsynergy with stakeholders, and increase public awareness and the development of cultural tourism attractions as an integrated ecotuorism program.Keywords: bioecological, ecotourism, development strategy, Teluk Cenderwasih National Park, whale shark
The Estimation of Oil Palm Carbon Stock in Sembilang Dangku Landscape, South Sumatra
Oil palm has the ability to sequester carbon dioxide stored as carbon stock. This study aimed to estimate carbon stock in some age classes, to determine the relationship between Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) and carbon stock, and to estimate the distribution of oil palm carbon stock in Landscape Sembilang Dangku. Estimation of carbon stock were carried out at the non productive age plant phase namely <2 years, 2-3 years, and the productive plant age phase namely 4-10 years and> 10 years. The carbon stock estimation used allometric equations. Landsat 8 Operational Land Imager (OLI) /Thermal Infrared Sensor (TIRS) was analyzed to determine NDVI. Making a map of the classification of carbon stock distribution using Software QGIS Las Palmas 2.18.0. The results showed that the carbon stock in the age class <2 years was 9.50 ton C/ ha, the age class of 2-3 was 9.62 ton C/ha, the age of 4-10 was 28.23 ton C/ha and in the age class> 10 was 79.83 ton C/ha. The relation between NDVI with carbon stock had a strong correlation (r = 0.9972) with regression equation Y = 638.13x - 242.65. Carbon stock distribution was based on percentage of area as follows: <15 ton C/ha covering an area of 26.52%, 15-25 ton C/ha covering an area of 5.29%, 26-70 ton C ha covering an area of 35.41%, and > 70 ton C/ha 32.78%. Water Quality Characteristic of Ciliwung River at Bogor Botanical Garden Segmen, Bogor
Ciliwung river is a river with water quality classified in moderate poluted until heavy polluted due to the high pollution load and lack of open green space in river banks, except in some area including Bogor Botanical Garden (KRB). Bogor Botanical Garden (KRB) is one of the open green space that play a rule of buffer area for Ciliwung River in KRB segment. The results of this research by analyzing the water quality (physico-chemical factors and macrozoobenthos) on the inlet KRB, middle KRB and outlet KRB showed that Ciliwung river in KRB segment still meet water quality standard class II except COD. Macrozoobenthos community structure is dominated by the order Ephemeroptera and Trichoptera. Analysis of water quality using Water Quality Index, Pollution Index, Shannon-Wiener diversity index and Hilsenhoff Biotic Index shows there are increasing of the quality of water from the inlet KRB, middle KRB to the outlet KRB.Keywords: green open space, macrozoobenthos, purificatio
