STUDI SUHU TRANSISI GELAS PRODUK PENCANGKOKAN ANHIDRIDA MALEAT PADA KARET ALAM SIKLIS: METODE DIFFERENTIAL SCANNING CALORIMETRY
Pada penelitian ini dilaporkan perubahan suhu transisi gelas produk pencangkokan anhidrida maleat pada karet alam siklis. Pencangkokan anhidrida maleat pada karet alam siklis dilakukan dalam fase leleh dengan penambahan komonomer divinil benzen di dalam pencampur internal suhu 185oC dan kecepatan rotor 85 rpm. Konsentrasi anhidrida maleat yang digunakan dalam proses pencangkokan adalah 16 phr, tanpa penambahan dan dengan penambahan komonomer divinil benzen dengan variasi: 0,5, 1 dan 2 mol rasio. Produk pencangkokan dikarakterisasi dengan Differential Scanning Calorimetry untuk mempelajari perubahan suhu transisi gelasnya. Berdasarkan analisis dan pengolahan data menggunakan software thermal analysis diperoleh bahwa semakin banyak penambahan komonomer divinil benzene maka suhu transisi gelasnya semakin tinggi, yaitu: 69,46oC, 69,51oC, 70,08oC dan 70,56oC
PHYTOCHEMICAL SCREENING OF THREE BATAK LEEKS VARIANS (A. chinense G. Don)
"Phytochemical screening of Three Batak Leeks (A. chinense G. Don) Varians " has been carried out. For phytochemical screening, secondary metabolites were analyzed, including alkaloids, phenolics, flavonoids, terpenoids, steroids and saponins. From the three samples of Batak Leeks (fresh, dried and methanol extract), the result was concluded that secondary metabolites of the terpenoids were weak in the methanol extract and not detected in the fresh and dried Batak leeks
STUDI KOMPUTASI INTERAKSI ZEOLIT LTA (LINDE TYPE A) DENGAN KATION ALKALI (LI+, NA+, K+) MENGGUNAKAN METODE MEKANIKA MOLEKULER
A study of computation on zeolite LTA (Linde Type A) interaction with alkaline cation (Li+, Na+, K+) using the mechanical molecular method was conducted. Data processing was conducted computationally using Hyperchem 7.0 with the mechanical molecular method. The result of the study showed zeolite LTA with ratio Si/Al 2,4286 has the lowest minimum energy. Furthermore, impregnation by cation Li+ increases structure stability, and impregnation by cation Na+ has the largest diameter window on Zeolite LTA

PEMBUATAN KOMPOSIT WO3-ZnO MELALUI REAKSI PADAT-PADAT DAN KARAKTERISASINYA
Pembuatan komposit WO3-ZnO melalui reaksi padat-padat telah dilakukan. Tahapan penelitian meliputi pencampuran padatan WO3 dan ZnO dengan penambahan polivinil alkohol, pengeringan, pengayakan dan pemanasan. Padatan WO3 dan ZnO sebelum dikompositkan serta komposit WO3-ZnO dikarakterisasi menggunakan instrumen X-Ray Diffraction (XRD), Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM), dan uji luas permukaan menggunakan larutan methylene blue. Hasil karakterisasi XRD menunjukkan bahwa pada sampel mengandung WO3 dan ZnO juga adanya puncak difraksi ZnWO4. Pada analisa SEM dapat diamati bahwa terdapat ukuran dan bentuk partikel yang tidak homogen. Komposit WO3-ZnO memiliki luas permukaan sebesar 110,7596 m2/g.The preparation of WO3-ZnO composites through the solid state reaction has been conducted. The research stages included mixing WO3 and ZnO solids with the addition of polyvinyl alcohol, drying, sieving and heating. WO3 and ZnO solids before being composited and WO3-ZnO composites were characterized using X-Ray Diffraction (XRD), Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) instrument, and test the surface area using methylene blue solution. The results of XRD characterization showed that the samples containing WO3 and ZnO also contained ZnWO4 diffraction peaks. In SEM analysis, it can be observed that the size and shape of the particles was not homogeneous. WO3-ZnO composite has a surface area of 110.7596 m2/g
POLIURETAN MINYAK AMPAS KOPI ARABIKA ( Coffea arabica L.)
Polymerization of coffee grounds oil with Diphenyl Methane 4,4 Diisocyanate (MDI), epoxidation with performic acid and H2SO4(p) catalyst at 40-45°C, followed by hydrolysis to obtain polyols. The synthesis was carried out by reacting the polyol with Diphenyl Methane 4,4 Diisocyanate (MDI) with a ratio (polyol: MDI) 9:1; 8:2 ; 7:3 ; 6:4 ; 5:5 (v/v) in dichloromethane solvent. Each was characterized and the density values were 0.9086 gr/cm to 0.4979 gr/cm-1, the tensile strength and elongation values were 0.113 Mpa to 0.299 Mpa and 3.23% to 6.85%, respectively
VALIDASI METODE ELEKTRODA SELEKTIF ION (ESI) DI PT.PUPUK KALIMANTAN TIMUR UNTUK PENENTUAN KADAR AMMONIA (NH3) DI UDARA AMBIEN
Validation method of ammonia (NH3) determination in ambient air with the ion-selective electrode (ESI) method has been carried out. The purpose of this study is to determine linearity, accuracy, precision, method detection limits, and selectivity. The performance characteristics of the method are determined using standard ammonium chloride solutions. The instrument used to detect ammonia levels is the ion analyzer. The results in the linearity test show an r2 value of 0.9999. Accuracy test results show recovery values in the range of 88.86 to 100.48%. The precision of this method has a value of % RSD smaller than 2/3 CV Horwitz.. The detection limit value of the method was 0.0224 mg/L. The presence of interference ions such as SO2 and NO2 does not affect the measurement of ammonia concentrations. The results of the validation test show that the method used can be used to determine ammonia concentrations in ambient air.Validasi metode penetapan kadar amonia (NH3) di udara ambien dengan metode elektroda selektif ion (ESI) telah dilakukan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menentukan linearitas, akurasi, presisi, batas deteksi metode, dan selektivitas. Karakteristik kinerja dari metode ditentukan dengan menggunakan larutan standar amonium klorida. Alat yang digunakan untuk mendeteksi kadar amonia adalah ion analyzer. Hasil dalam uji linearitas menunjukkan nilai r sebesar 0,9999. Hasil uji akurasi menunjukkan nilai % Recovery pada rentang 88,86 hingga 100,48 %. Presisi dari metode ini mempunyai nilai % RSD lebih kecil daripada 2/3 CV Horwitz. Nilai batas deteksi metode adalah 0,0224 mg/L. Keberadaan ion-ion pengganggu seperti SO2- dan NO2- tidak mempengaruhi dalam pengukuran kadar amonia. Hasil dari uji validasi menunjukkan bahwa metode yang dilakukan dapat digunakan untuk penetapan kadar ammonia di udara ambien
VALIDASI METODE PENENTUAN Cd (II) DALAM PUPUK NPK SECARA SPEKTROFOTOMETRI SERAPAN ATOM NYALA DI LABORATORIUM UJI KUALITAS, PT. PUPUK KALIMANTAN TIMUR
The research about validation method of determination of Cd (II) in NPK fertilizer by Flame Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometry at the Quality Control Laboratory, PT. Pupuk Kaltim has been done. Determination of Cd (II) was done by referring to the Indonesian National Standard (SNI) 2803:2012. Based on the research results obtained by the correlation coefficient (r) was 0.9991; reproducibility with a relative standard deviation (RSD) value was 4.502 % less than 2/3 CV Horwitz was 9.757 and repeatability with a relative standard deviation (RSD) value was 5.225% less than 2/3 CV Horwitz was 9.695; % recovery was in the range of 80-110 % with an average was 98.56 %; limit of detection was 0.056 mg/kg and limit of quantitation was 0,066 mg/kg; uncertainty estimation of measurement with uncertainty components of concentration, volume, mass, precision and purity of the standard solution, obtained the expanded uncertainty value with a 95 % confidence level was ± 0.197 mg/kg and uncertainty percentage value was 10.43 %
UJI ANTIBAKTERI Ag/SBA-15 DARI ABU DAUN BAMBU PETUNG TERHADAP BAKTERI Escherichia coli
Antibacterial tests of Ag/SBA-15 from petung bamboo leaf ash against Escherichia coli were carried out. Modification of SBA-15 with Ag was conducted using the wet impregnation method while the antibacterial test was carried out by well diffusion method and disc diffusion method with various concentrations of Ag/SBA-15. The Ag/SBA-15 has a surface area of 143 m2/g, pore diameter of 8.4 nm and pore volume of 0.35 cm3/g. The SAXS pattern of Ag /SBA-15 showed 3 typical SBA-15 peaks in the 0o -2o 2θ range with the miller index [100], [110] and [200], indicating modification with Ag did not change the hexagonal structure of SBA-15. Ag / SBA-15 material has the potential as an antibacterial agent for Escherichia coli; the inhibitory zone diameters for the well diffusion method and disc diffusion method were 7.00 ± 0.57 mm and 13.16 ± 0.16 mm, respectively. Increasing the concentration of Ag/SBA-15 samples resulted in greater inhibitory zone diameters for the bacteria
Ekstrak Etanol Kulit Buah Manggis Sebagai Masker Gel Peel-Off Berantioksidan
Peel off gel masks have become a trend in the field of beauty as a facial skin care. Utilization of mangosteen rind extract is thought to be able to provide more function on the mask as its high levels of antioxidant. This study discusses the optimum formulation of antioxidant peel off gel mask with mangosteen rind ethanol extract. Mangosteen rind was obtained from the market in the South Tangerang area and then extracted using 96% ethanol as the solvent by maceration. Peel off gel mask preparation is formulated with extract concentrations of 1%, 2% and 4%. Stability test in the form of analysis of pH, viscosity, dry time, and homogenation was carried out for four weeks. Antioxidant analysis was carried out to detect flavonoid, saponins and tannins. The results showed that the extract contained flavonoids, saponins and tannins with free radical scavenging values of 16.10%. The optimum formulation of peel off gel mask is with 2% extract because it has an acidic pH, a viscosity value of 8025 cps, a thick texture, and has a drying time of about 14 minutes
