    ABSTRACT     In this era, the machining process has been very advanced wich is equipped with advanced technologies. The impact of the machining process used to develop and increase quality and quantity product produce. Machining process wire – EDM (Wire Cutting Electrical Discharge Machining) is one of the non – conventional machining process wich is commonly used in die – mold, disk brake, punch, and cutting tools. The speed of MRR (Material Removal Rate) and the smoothness of a surface has a very important role in a product wich concerns lubrication, wear, friction and resistance problems. Based on the problem, a study was research for find out what variables affetc the response variable. From the result of the study it is known that the current and interpulse affected the MRR, and the current, interpulse, and wirespeed also affect surface roughness. With the RSM (Response Surface Methode) methode optimum result for MRR the fasted 64,5688 mm3/minutes and the surface roughness smoothest 5,2391 µm with the combination variable current is 8 amp, interpulse, 7 µs, and wirespeed 5 mm/s.     The use of a fuel mixture of gasoline and ethanol can reduce the PM2.5 (Particulate Matter) value in the air by 0.3-0.4 µg m-3. This research aims to see the performance of a 4-stroke engine 113cc in standard conditions using a mixture of premium and ethanol. This research learns 5 types of mixture, E0, E10, E15, E20, and E25. The fuels was tested at 5 engine speed 4000, 4500, 5000, 5500, and 6000 rpm, at prony brake dynamometer to measuring performance, fuel consumption and Specific Fuel Consumption (SFC). The results of research show that the highest torque and power is the E15 mixture, that is 8.90 Nm at 5500 rpm and the power obtained is 5.529 kW at 6000 rpm. Meanwhile, the lowest fuel consumption value is found in the E10 with a value of 169.78 gr/hour at 4500 rpm. The lowest SFC value of all fuels is the E15 at 5000 rpm on 27.565 gr/kW.h. This is the lowest of any other fuel, because the  Research Octane Number value is following the compression ratio of the engine, so there is no delay in ignition symptoms that occur during the combustion system.     Energy needs in the future will continue to grow along with the growth of the population. Renewable and non-renewable energy sources continue to develop with various innovations. However, energy consumption from non-renewable energy such as coal, oil, and natural gas still dominates. Therefore, one of the potential non-renewable energy sources that can be optimized at present is unconventional oil and gas reserves. Unconventional oil and gas are oil and gas that comes from sourcerock, low permeability reservoirs, such as shale oil, shale gas, tight sand gas, coal bed methane, and methane-hydrate. To produce oil and gas from the tight sand gas reservoir, the hydraulic fracture method is a commonly used method. A hydraulic fracture is a well stimulation technique in which rock is fractured by a pressurized liquid. The process involves the high-pressure injection of fracking fluid into the wellbore to create crack in the deep rock formation through which natural gas, petroleum and brine will flow more freely. When the hydraulic pressure is removed from the well, small grains of hydraulic fracturing proppants hold the fracture open. Well log data such as gamma ray log, SP log, density log, resistivity log and so on will be processed and produce shale volume, porosity, permeability, and water saturation. Procced data from well log will be validated by core data. These data will be input into a reservoir model. A hydraulic fracture design will be made in the reservoir model with a certain length, width, and permeability using the uniform conductivity rectangular fracture method.     The characteristic of spray largely determines of combustion quality. Before testing the fuel of diesel engine, characteristic of spray is needed to know. Biodiesel made from nyamplung seeds (callophyllum inophylum) mixed with diesel oil for spray characteristics test. The research was conducted at 1 atm ambient pressure, 15 MPa injection pressure. The fuel used Oil diesel added biodiesel variation B0, B20, B30, dan B100. The fuel mixture sprayed by nozzle tester and recorded using a 480 fps camera at 224x168 resolution to cognize spray tip penetration and spray angle. The result of research showing viscosity of fuel mixture has huge impact on spray characteristic. At high viscosity, longer spray tip penetration longer and smaller spray angle.     The processing of smoked fish that is carried out by the XIII Koto Kampar community is still relatively simple, the weaknesses caused by traditional fish smoked include the appearance of being less attractive (partially charred) difficult temperature control and polluting the air. In this research, a fish smoking system was designed using and oven model with a separate combustion chamber, the smoke is flowed through a pipe equipped with a filter and piping design to circulate the smoke evenly to the smoke cabinet. Retrieval of test data in the form of; Efficiency of smoking time by measuring temperature on each shelf and air humidity (RH) in the fumigation chamber, taking proximate content test data to determine moisture, ash, protein and fat content. Temperature testing for 480 minutes while maintaining the temperature between 30-40 â—¦C. Humidity at 55% during the curing process and moisture content from 65-48%

    The research is about analysis of Nano Sized Bioceramic Characterization Using Particle Size Analyzer (PSA). In the previous research, optimization of the parameters of making nano powders on Ball Mill machines using the Taguchi and ANOVA methods. The optimum parameters of the Taguchi Design analysis were grinding rate, grinding time and Ball Powder Ratio respectively 250 rpm, 3 hours and 1: 6. After that the characterization of the powder use a Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) and Transmission Electron Microscope (TEM). Powder size measurement use SEM tools obtained the smallest average size of 1.305 mm while using TEM tools showed the average size of the smallest powder between 50-100 nm. TEM test results were confirmed again using PSA. The results of the characterization using PSA showed that the particle size in the range 100-300 nm was approximately 80

    Pineapple leaf fiber is currently widely used in furniture and handicraft industries (UKM) because besides being easily available, inexpensive, does not endanger health, can reduce environmental pollution so that later on as a composite reinforcing fiber can overcome environmental problems. From the considerations above, this study aims to determine the effect of the alkalization treatment (NaOH) on the tensile strength test of pineapple leaf fibers by vacuum infusion method and to determine the type of fracture of pineapple leaf fiber composites after tensile testing. Before it is made into a composite of pineapple leaves, it is soaked for 2 hours. Manufacture of composite materials based on ASTM D683-03 standard. From the composite tensile test results obtained the highest average tensile strength in specimens treated with NaOH 6% which is 112 MPa. While the lowest at 0% NaOH treatment is 68 MPa. Composites treated with NaOH have higher agility than those not treated with NaOH. The highest agility is found in composites with the highest NaOH treatment

Because piping failure is due thinning, the next inspection using NDT is suggested not more half of the remaining life
