    Object such as Fly Wheel, it is bound to have natural frequency as one of it is vibration parameter. If excitation is applied at the same frequency as natural frequency, then resonance will occur. As the result, excess deformation on the structure can occur. In this research, the natural frequency from the Fly Wheel was calculated. The calculation was conducted with the help of Finite Element on a software. Followed with the calculation of the working frequency range and structure deformation as a result of the vibration that occurred. The deformation calculation was conducted because deformation will effect the size (dimension) between the wheel and the housing.  However, the simulation that was conducted only on the first five vibration mode. This Research is consisted of four stages. The four stages are literature study, fn analysis of a basic road, preliminary measurement mechanical battery and fn analysis of the mechanical battery. Preliminary measurement was conducted because the mechanical battery that was analysed is already constructed in Construction Laboratory, Department of Mechanical Engineering, University of Sam Ratulangi.The Result of the simulation indicated that five vibration mode occurred on these spinning frequency are 32.21 Hz, 88.71 Hz, 173.93 Hz, 287.48 Hz, and 429.32 Hz. Followed, the biggest working range are between vibration mode two to three. Finally, deformation that effected the size between Fly Wheel and housing bearing it is on two, three and five.Key Words: Fly Wheel, Natural Frequency, Vibration Simulation with Software

    Traditionally, small-scale mining industry organized by the community is a typical industry that has a high risk of work accidents. Related to efforts to minimize the risk of mining activities in traditional mining businesses, this study aims to identify various safety risks in the traditional gold mining process in Ratatotok, North Sulawesi using the HIRARC (Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment and Risk Control) method. The results of the application of this method indicate that the most critical risk of work accidents is the danger of being hit by a hole buffer tool and being pinched by rocks and the danger of being buried by landslides due to continuous rain with the largest risk score of 25

    When the car moves forward, the air flowing through it will be left behind. By placing a wind turbine on a car, the air flow can be used to rotate the turbine. The addition of tunnels and turbines on the car will change the aerodynamic force, so that it will change the amount of power the car needs. To analyze this, modeling and simulation were carried out. The modeling software used is SolidWorks 2013 Premium and the simulation software is Ansys Workbench 18.1. This study uses three car models, namely: conventional car models, cars with front tunnels and cars with rear tunnels. Making tunnels and installing turbines affect the aerodynamic forces. The aerodynamic force of the car after the turbine installed is smaller than the aerodynamic force of the car before the turbine installed for the car mode of rear turbine modification, while for the car model of front turbine modification, the aerodynamic force of the car after the turbine installed is greater than the aerodynamic force of the car after the turbine installed. The dimensions of the Darrieus helical wind turbine are 0.3 m in height, 0.2 mm in diameter, the blade profile uses NACA 0021, and the blade length is 0.03 m with a helical angle of 50º. At a car speed of 100 km/h, it is obtained Cp of 0.55 with a power of 60.2 Watt for the wind turbine installed in the rear tunnel car, while for the wind turbine mounted on the front tunnel car, it obtained Cp of 0.26 with a power of 3.903 Watt

    Design of quality product is a design that based on the basic functions of the product that are adjusted into quality and capacity, as well as added value that can attract the attention of consumers. Product design development is very important because in this era of economic global competitive, innovation is very important to achieving advanced in the global market. The most important thing from product design development is fulfillment of the needs and desires of consumers.This research uses the quality function deployment (qfd) method, which is a design method that can translate the needs and desires of consumers to technical specifications in fulfillment customer satisfaction. QFD method is the most preferred method for developing a product's design. The product in this research is a standard helmet. Nowdays, helmet become one of safety needs, because all motorcycle users must use helmets if they want to go anywhere. But not few riders who do not use a helmet when driving because of discomfort when using a helmet. For this reason, a multifunctional helmet is needed so that the rider can feel comfortable and safe when using the helmet.            According to surveys and interviews, there are six important things conveyed by consumers for the development of this standard helmet, consist of: using a full face design, made from cold ingredients, use colors navy and silver, and added features of a microcontroller chip, wireless and password, microphone. As for the overall analysis with house of quality (HoQ) there are seven priority of technical specifications, namely: the shape design of standard helmet, flexibility of standard helmet in use, a multifunctional standard helmet, safety for helmet’s user, comfort for helmet’s user, the complete features, and attractive colors. Keywords : Product design development, QFD, Ho

    Performance indicator is a quantitative measure that describes the performance achievement of a company that is used as the basis for future performance improvements. This research is related to a study of Lahendong unit 5 and 6 power plant performance evaluations using the base of PJBL (Electricity Purchase Agreement) and RKAP (Corporate Work Plan and Budget) in 2018. From the results of data analysis it was found that the PJBL indicator did not reach agreed targets. Besides that, downtime due to unscheduled maintenance is also quite high. From the results of the analysis of the causal factors it is known that there are main factors that cause the achievement of the performance targets. Some proposals improve the realization of PJBL and reduce downtime because unscheduled maintenance was also presented in this study. Keywords: RKAP, PJBL, performance, PLTP 5 & 6 Lahendong

    This study aims to (1) create artificial neural network architecture and programming using matlab, (2) predict rainfall values for several periods future, and (3) make disaster management systems simple to anticipate disasters.Data were trained and tested to recognize patterns, then simulated to get predictive results. Rainfall data for the past 24 months, from the North Minahasa Climatology Station.The results showed that the function used was trainlm with network architecture 12-8-3-2 and predicted rainfall for the next 12 months (October 2018-September 2019) was 110±1.6106, 267±2.2641, 337±2.7191, 366±2.6943 , 337±2.7853, 305±73.9830, 190±74.4540, 33±70.8810, 34±2.0987, 35±1.3790, 39±1.2715, 68mm±1.3873. The highest rainfall prediction is February 2019 and is predicted to cause flooding.     Customer satisfaction and dissatisfaction with a service or goods are usually determined by how a product is received by the customer from the service provider or product so that if the service provided in accordance with the expectations of the customer then they will feel satisfied and vice versa.     One component of the cooling engine that plays an important role in the reducing temperature and refining pressure is the expansion valve.This research is fair to know the rate of cooling and elecricity consumption of a T2 type thermostatic expansion valve and a capillary pipe with a constant legth of 2 m with a diameter of 0,028 inches and 0,036 inches using the Lucas Nulle Type RCC2 cooling machine. The value of the result is obtained from three experiments for each tool for one hour.Based on the observations it was found that the average cooling rate using a T2 type thermostatic expansion valve can achieve a temperature decrease of up to 2,87 oC with an electricity consumption of 201,96 watts, for each capler using a 0,028 inch diameter decrease in temperature can reach up to -0,33 oC with electricity consumption of 198,22 watts and for the use of 0,036 inch diameter capillary pipe the temperature decreases can reach up to 5,37 oC with electricity consumption of 211,31 watts. Key word : T2 type thermostatic expansion valve, capillary pip

    The development of the business world in Indonesia, today has shown an encouraging direction. It can be seen from the proliferation of various forms of business entities engaged in the field of goods and services both small and large scale. One of them is wedding organizer service. Wedding organizer provider company must be able to provide maximum service to increase consumer satisfication.This research is related to the application of the Root Cause Analysis (RCA) method in determining the factors that influence the low level of customer satisfaction in wedding organizer service providers.The purpose of this study is to determine the important factors that cause the low levels of customer satisfaction and provide suggestions for improving the performance of service providers in wedding organizers. This analysis uses SERVQUAL variables which contain service quality dimensions such as tangibles, reliability, empathy, responsiveness, and assurance.The results of research conducted using these 14 variables, show that there are three factors that cause low levels of customer satisfaction, they are not acting fast when consumers need (complaints given by consumers are not immediately responded to), not able to provide information according to customer needs (no service list), not having the availability of interesting event photobooths ( no availability of photographer at photobooth place, and five improvement proposals for wedding organizer service providers, such as procurement of communication equipment, assigning tasks based on mastered fields, scheduling more carefully, more thoroughly in providing information, paying more attention to concept and theme of the event according to the consumer wishes.Keywords: Wedding Organizer, SERVQUAL, Consumer Satisfaction, Fault Tree

    The goal of this research is on understanding the influence of corrosive environment on base metal and its corrosion rate at various metals using case example at Kanonang Hill as the locus. An experimental approach is taken to obtain a causal relationship to the rate of corrosion.  The result of the experiment showed that the influence of environment of Kanonang Hill is remarkable. The study also indicating various corrosion rate for various metals used in the experiments. The score of corrosion rate for Light Steel bolt material is at 10,22 mpy, Carbon Chanell 8.52, Mild Steel 22,87 mpy, Plain Iron Concrete 33.20 mpy, Plain Iron Concrete 33.20 mpy, plain iron concerete 33.20 mpy, cast iron castings 39.33 mpy and the last, the metal tiles reaching 2.51 mpy.Keywords: Corrosive Environment, Building Material, Corrosion Level, Corrosion Rate
