PERENCANAAN TURBIN AIR MIKRO HIDRO JENIS PELTON UNTUK PEMBANGKIT LISTRIK DI DESA KALI KECAMATAN PINELENG DENGAN HEAD 12 METER
The utilization of water as a natural resource of renewable energy for power plant is one of the alternative solutions to replace the need for fossil fuels. there is a waterfall on the river which through Kali village in Pineleng district, From observations and the calculation speed of the flow by using buoys, and river cross-sectional area obtained the total river debit Q = 0.323 m3 / s. From the measurements is also obtained high fall the waterfall H = 12 m. Based on the existing height and debit of the water fall the major dimensions of a water turbine Pelton Micro Hydro type as the driving power generator was planned. The results of calculations for effective head = 12 m, with a water debit that is used to drive the runners Q = 0.06 m3/s, gained power generated by 4.0 kW. By the data is planned the main dimensions of micro turbine Pelton outer runner diameter Do = 380.8 mm, the diameter of the circle pin D = 202 ​​mm, number of bowls z = 19 with 1 nozzle, and a shaft diameter ds = 45 mm. KUANTIFIKASI DAN MITIGASI RISIKO PADA SISTEM RANTAI PASOK DI PT. ANEKA GAS INDUSTRI
Effect and Analysis (FMEA) method, Risk Priority Number (RPN) Gas production need to consider the risks of the process of production and distribution. The purpose of this research is to identify the risks that exist in the supply chain management of PT. Aneka Gas Industri, and determine mitigation methods from any of existing risk. Identification method that used is the Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA), The FMEA tracking various types of failures from the existing system in PT. Aneka Gas Industri then analyze all the effects caused by the damage. The result that achieved is a descripton of the seriousness and consequences of risk for the company, and the quantification of the value of risk-based of Risk priority Number (RPN). The risk factors of power supply is the most part of critical failure with RPN score 729 and the risk factors of quality of the gas that’s uncertain will be a part of the lowest failure with RPN score of 18. PENGARUH PENCAMPURAN BROWN GAS KE BENSIN PREMIUM UNTUK MOTOR BENSIN YANG DIPASANG PADA SEPEDA MOTOR SUZUKI SMASH 110 CC
This research is aimed to determine the effects of brown gas mixed with gasoline on fuel consumption of a Suzuki Smash 110cc. Data taken in this study is the fuel consumption of the vehicle on different gear ratio, and velocity of the vehicle within a distance of 2.5 km. Analyzing is done on gear ratio-1 at 10,15,20,25,30 km/h, whereas on gear ratio-2,3 and 4 at 20, 25, 30, 35 and 40. The result of observations and computation shows fuel consume rate gear ratio-1 is 266,4; 349,3; 455,1; 562,6 and 697,5 gr/hr on gear ratio-2 is 359,2, 410,9, 439,0; 545,9 and 648,9 gr/hr, on gear ratio-3 is 296,9; 295,8; 408,6; 494,4 and 624,5 gr/hr, on gear ratio-4 is 201,9; 249,4; 412,0; 330,8 and 538,0 gr/hr with the speed of 20, 25, 30, 35 and 40 km/h consecutively. The conclusion is the higher the speed of motorcycle, the greater the rate of consumption. It was found that the testing is executed in the range of engine speed of 2136 to 6182 rpm. These results demonstrate that the motor cycle is more efficient if using gears ratio-4 at a speed of 20 km/h to 40 km/h. Key Word : fuel consumption , brown gas, gasoline engine, Suzuki Smash 110cc
PENGARUH VARIASI UKURAN BUTIRAN FILLER SERBUK GERGAJI BATANG KELAPA TERHADAP SIFAT MEKANIK KOMPOSIT
Coconut tree (cocos nucifera) is one plant that is widely grown in North Sulawesi many benefits of the overall crop. Since sawdust coconut trunks are not optimally its utilization as a filler for composite materials is studied. In addition to eco-friendly materials are easily obtainable.This study aims to determine the mechanical properties of the composites tested bending (ASTMD 6110) and impact (ASTMD 256-00) with grain variation using mesh 250, 180, and 90 using polyester resin matrix. Optimum impact Is obtained using 250 Mesh 60% volume fraction of resinFrom the data processing Bending test optimum bending moment obtained at 250 mesh resin volume fraction of 70%, and optimum bending stress obtained on 250 mesh 70% volume fraction. For optimum deflection on 250 mesh fraction 70% volume for optimum bending rigidity is at 250 mesh 60% volume fraction. Then it shows the variation of grain size, the volume fraction affects the value of the mechanical strength of the composite.Keywords: Impact, Bending, Composites, volume fraction, Fill
PENERAPAN METODE SERVQUAL UNTUK EVALUASI DAN PERBAIKAN KUALITAS PELAYANAN PADA KEGIATAN PENYULUHAN BAHASA INDONESIA PRAKTIS DI BALAI BAHASA PROVINSI SULAWESI UTARA
This study aims to determine the level of service quality and satisfaction the participant of dissemination the quality of services provided by Balai Bahasa Provinsi Sulawesi Utara. The research is conducted at Balai Bahasa Provinsi Sulawesi Utara from October until December 2012.This study is using the servqual method is an instrument to measure a quality of service. The measurement of the quality of service in the servqual method is based on the five dimensions of services namely tangibles, responsiveness, reliability, assurance, and empathy. This research will measure gap between experienced services and services expected by customers..The method using questionaire which is developed into 12 questions (attributes) that can be used to measure the quality of service and level of satisfaction on the activities of the Disseminasion of Practical Bahasa Indonesia in Balai Bahasa Provinsi Sulawesi Utara. The result quality of service found between the range -0.14 to 0.28 indicating nearly ideal quality of service and level of satisfaction with the value of 88%. ANALISIS SIFAT MEKANIK MATERIAL KOMPOSIT DARI SERAT SABUT KELAPA
This research uses coco fiber having straight fiber orientation. Different volume fraction with alkali (NaOH) treatment for two hours and without treatment have applied in this work. This composite was manufactured by molding where Polyester BQTN 157 was used as matrix. Bending test was performed based on ASTM D 6110 standard. The aim of this research is to obtain the optimum bending strength of coco fiber composite for volume fraction of 0 % fiber and 100% resin, 10% fiber and 90% resin, 20% fiber and 80%resin, 30% fiber and 70% resin, 40% fiber and 60% resin, 50% fiber and 50% resin, 60% fiber and 40% resin, 70% fiber and 30% resin with alkali treatment for two hours and without treatment, and find the result of fracture at the specimens. Based on the test results, the mean bending modulus of elasticity for specimens without treatment is 619047.619 MPa. This value was obtained at volume fraction of 40% fiber and 60% resin. On the other hand, the mean bending modulus of elasticity for specimens with alkali treatment is 4893.410928 MPa. This value was obtained at volume fraction of 30% fiber and 70% resin. PERHITUNGAN ONGKOS PRODUKSI MESIN PENCACAH RUMPUT PAKAN TERNAK TIPE AMP 1000
In a machinery industry, to know the exact production cost of machine or machine component is essential. Using the data of production cost, the selling price of the product or the value of product making project can be calculated, then the profit can be determined. This research aim to calculate the total production cost of grass chopper machine, then using the result to determine the selling price and the profit. From the performed calculation we obtain that the selling price of the machine is Rp 9.234.016 per unit. This price is cheaper dan market price which has the value of Rp 13.300.000 per unit. Therefore, the net profit of this product is Rp. 1.995.000
OPTIMASI DIAMETER POROS RODA BELAKANG SEPEDA MOTOR
Interchangeability of motorcycles spare parts is needed in case of difficulty obtaining the original in the market. This research aims to develop the software model to optimize output shaft diameter and to compare the torque forwarded to rear sprocket of a motorcycle. The software develop using MATLAB R2010. Optimization is performed by making objective function variables with constraints and stress deflection resulted it the shaft loaded. Optimization is carried out with the conditioning in the highest speed transmission, that is : 1 840rpm, 2 1300rpm, 3 1800 rpm to 4 3000 rpm, and 5 3500rpm. Results obtained for a 8426.41 Nm/s power standard motorcycle is shaft diameter Do=12mm and Di=1.04mm. Finally, the software calculate the inertia force in order to obtain the stress Results showed that presence of shaft diameter optimization, load balance as well as engine power was still able to be borne on the optimum diameter. ANALISIS LAJU KOROSI PADA BAJA KARBON DENGAN MENGGUNAKAN AIR LAUT DAN H2SO4
In this study, the materials used as reference are carbon steel and the copper alloy. Corrosion process is done by soaking the material in the test environment and H2SO4 solution of sea water that has collected in a glass aquarium in order to circulate properly with the aid of a pump. The length of immersion performed for 1 hour 3 times as much as 3 hours of immersion and immersion for 3 times. The purpose this study is to determine the corrosion that occurs in the material of carbon steel and copper alloys. Weight loss due to corrosion is closely related to time, in other words increasing immersion time, the greater the weight loss that occurs. The rate of corrosion test results conducted with a time of 1 hour, the average value obtained for the specimen I in of carbon steel and copper alloys in seawater solution is 0,105 mils / year and 0 mils / year. While in the sulfuric acid solution is 0,162 mils / year and 0,028 mils / year. And the rate of corrosion test results conducted by 3 hours, the average value obtained for the specimen I in of carbon steel and copper alloys in sea water solution and sulfuric acid is 1,350 mils / year and 0,015 mils / year. PEMODELAN PENGUJIAN TARIK UNTUK MENGANALISIS SIFAT MEKANIK MATERIAL
One of the tests used to determine the mechanical properties of the metal are tensile test. The results obtained from tensile testing is the yield strength of the material. In the tensile test, applying load and extension of the material are manually analyzed. The research objective is to develop software and perform simulation of tensile testing test based on applying load and extension. Simulation results can determine the of technical strength and true strength of material the base on the results of tensile testing specimens of copper shafts circular cross section and angle shape cross section of construction steel specimen.
