The Influence of News Construction and Netizen Response to the Hoax News in Online Media
This study aims to determine the effect of news in online media on the thoughts and behavior of a person, because the impact is very strong in shaping public opinion. This study uses theory of mass communication, news construction, netizen response, online media. The research method used quantitative descriptive analysis with online data collection techniques. Conclusion of research (1) News construction have positive effect to reporting hoax in online media, meaning that news construction which is loaded and created by online media will influence hoax news dissemination. (2) The netizen response positively affects the news of hoaxes in the online media, meaning more and more netizens respond to hoax news, hoax news will be wider. (3) News construction and netizen responses have a positive and significant influence on hoax news in media online, meaning that these two variables give a significant influence in the preaching of hoax in online media.
Cultural Identity and Social Interaction of Indigenous Peoples in the Middle of Modernization (Case Study of Indigenous Peoples of Kasepuhan Banten Kidul)
The indigenous community of Kasepuhan Banten Kidul is society entity that still maintains the past Sundanese traditions strictly, but is quite open and adaptive to the development of the age. The condition is reflected in their accommodative attitude towards all social changes that occur due to modernization. However, this condition does not make them lose their cultural identity as kasepuhan community. In the social interaction, the cultural identity is always inherent in them, both in the way of acting or reacting, and symbolized through the clothes and accessories worn. This condition can not be separated from the existence of indigenous institutions that have central role in upholding indigenous rules, so that all members of kasepuhan community have so strong ties to their cultural identity. Therefore, although in always changing social situation, they are able to adapt and even adopt the changes by not losing their cultural identity

The logo analysis from Faculty of Information Technology and Communication (FTIK) of Universitas Semarang in order to redesign logo and corporate identity design using logotype method is an effort to stimulate the faculty potentiality, by strengthening the brand image so that faculty is well-known in the future and would convince the society as social partner in organizing education quality. Redesign logo and corporate design is a research and development method which purpose at developing FTIK logo. The research uses Research and Development method. From the entire process of R&D development, eight steps are taken as follow: Potential and Problems of Data Collection, Product Design, Design Validation, Design Revision, Product Trial, Product Revision, Usage Trial, Mass Production. The process of redesigning the logo and faculty identity design refers to the vision and mission of the faculty so it can be implemented in creative concepts, communication strategies and application media
Challenges of Dissemination of Islam-related Information for Chinese Muslims in China
This article provided a historical background of the challenges faced in the course of Islamic education of Chinese Muslims in the context of social change. The researcher historically evaluated how social change reshaped the Islamic education of Chinese Muslims, and highlighted the influence of technical developmentonIslamic education in contemporary China. The available research indicated thatsince the 1980s, the challenges faced in the course of Islamic education of Chinese Muslims have gradually shifted from political repercussions to technological development. Due to the limited literature, the researcher called for more research on new media development, especially social mediaand Muslim minority groups in China. The researcher also proposed a research agenda for future studies
The Influence of Posyandu Cadres Credibility on Community Participation in Health Program
The foremost guard of health services in Indonesia is in the Puskesmas with its integrated health service post called Posyandu. Posyandu West Bandung Regency has several times won the champion as the best Posyandu in West Java and National level. This achievement was achieved because the role of Posyandu cadres in the area. Based on the background, this study examines how much influence the credibility of Posyandu cadres to public participation in health programs using the Credibility Theory, this study uses an explorative quantitative approach. Result of this research with Pearson correlation analysis showed that credibility Posyandu cadres have an effect on society participation in health program, with r = 0.0006. While Posyandu cadre expertise is quite influential with r = 0.0006; the character of trusted cadres is also influential with r = 0.0006; and the appeal of Posyandu cadres is quite influential with r = 0.0005
The Meaning Construction of Public Relations Marketing of Islamic Private Higher Education PR
The reality that occurs today is that Private Universities is still unable to compete with State Universities. Unisba and Unissula are Islamic Private Universities working hard to gain public trust through improving the academic quality of the lecturers and the students. Research issue that will be studied is the dimension of the meaning construction of PR Marketing in Unisba and Unissula. This research is qualitative research with case study approach. The theory used to examine and to analyze the results of the research is the Theory of Social Construction (Berger and Luckman). The results of research stated that the meaning construction of PR Marketing are: 1) the art of persuading the stakeholders in the framework of human relations, 2) the intention of worshipping because of Allah SWT (Lillahi Ta\u27ala) based on patience, honesty, and exemplary, 3) the motive to increase the number of prospective students and to build positive image, and 4) PR Marketing puts forward the values of Islam that contains the values of Islamic da\u27wah and syi\u27ar
Information Access Skills in Mothers as Containment of Internet Negative Impact
Media and Information Literacy (MIL) skills was one of the skills that must be possessed by netizens. These skills become important in the effort of coping with the negative impact of the internet. The high penetration of the internet is not followed by the high skill of MIL. Therefore, the writers are interested to know the skills of information and media literacy (access skills) in mothers. This study uses descriptive quantitative method by using questionnaires as means of data collection. The result of the study shows that mothers tend to have moderate-level information access skills. The skills are reflected in the skills of mothers at moderate level in understanding the role of information, seeking sources of information, accessing information effectively and efficiently, and storing information

Utilization of public spaces for community purposes is vital, given the existence becomes a precious thing amid the urgency people to enjoy freedom in space , that public space existence is not only limited by urban areas alone, why this is so, because the public space is basically a requirement need to be met. The public space in urban areas, such as: alun-alun square, city park, playroom, anti-smoking room, as well as expressive space for the disabled. In fact if we examine, the village also has a space can be used, and its function is the same as an expressive means of urban communities, although amid the routine of farming or gardening, so it needs space, that form and concept of public space in rural areas is more modest, but the public space is a source of knowledge society

Social Marketing Strategy toward Brand Awareness of Students Habit of FTIK Students, Universitas Semarang. There is a problem regarding student s habits of recycle habit in the campus environment, that became worst and impact to campus environment. This research tries to solve the problem by using social marketing strategy methods. Social marketing seeks to develop and integrate marketing concepts with other approaches to influence behaviors. Social marketing can be used as a problem solving by integrated communication principle and marketing techniques. This research tries to use social marketing in formulating some strategies to solve those habits problem by developing students s social awareness in order to change their bad habit in garbage throwing. The results shows that social marketing strategy start from 4P components to fulfill awareness pyramid in brand recognition level. The development of information technology in the hospitality institute is very important to be adopted in order to improve the quality of service to prospective customers. The purpose of this study was to determine the communication planning, through the process of share, optimize, manage, and engage in @holidayinnbandung Instagram. The research method is descriptive qualitative research methods and the foundation of the concept is The Circular Model of SOME. The results showed, the planning of communication via Instagram @holidayinnbandung is quite optimal, sharing process of Instagram selection motivated by the successful use of hash tags by international IHG. Optimizing the planning process starting from the promo to be made by optimizing the content is done by looking at the aspects of a photo and caption. Engagement process planning is done using the brand influencers and create content that is attractive to be able to entertain and interact with the followers
