    A note on astrometric data and time varying Sun-Earth distance in the light of Carmeli metric

    In this note, we describe shortly time varying Sun-Earth distance in the light of Carmeli metric and compare the result with recent astrometric data. The graphical plot suggests that there should be linear-linear correspondence between Sun-planets distances and their time variation. Not only that, the prediction made here suggests that Carmeli metric can be the sought after framework in order to describe the astrometric anomaly pertaining to the time varying distance of the Sun-Earth distance, and furthermore there are expected time varying distance effect between the Sun and other planets as well

    The integration of science and religion is the experimental basis for “Planetary Education”. In educational programs world-wide we have to develop a harmoniously scientific mind and conscious observing (watching, witnessing) of how scientific mind works. Watching the mind is the function of consciousness. In every human being it is the same consciousness functioning as an observer – watcher. By watching one’s mind one wakes up one’s consciousness and enters into “conscious experience” of the world that is free of all stereotypes of the mind. Today in every country in the world minds of our children are filled with narrow ideas belonging to a certain nation and religion. The fact that we all live on the same planet Earth is not taken into consideration. The result is that we raise people with narrow personal identification which can always be manipulated and used for violence and war with people of other nations and religions. In order to stop this centuries-long destruction we have to raise new generations that will firstly belong to the planetary society, and only secondly to a certain nation or religion. In order to strengthen the integration forces between people of this planet the scientific experience needs to be enriched with conscious experience of the world. The conscious experience has a dimension of “sacredness”; one discovers one’s deep connectedness with other human beings, the nature and the universe. This experience of Oneness is the basis for a peaceful planetary society living in cohabitation with nature

    Current Landscape and Future Direction of Theoretical & Experimental Quantum Brain/Mind/Consciousness Research

    The issues surrounding quantum brain/mind/consciousness research are both confusing and complex. If one can manage to grasp these issues, one may find that the past of this field has been fruitful and its future is indeed very promising. The current landscape and past achievements in this field have already been discussed by our colleagues as pointed herein. This editorial mainly attempts to classify/clarify some of the major issues and discuss what are lying ahead. Whatever difficulties may still remain, recent experimental results by several groups including those of the authors’ own make it very clear that quantum effects play important roles in brain functions despite of the denials and suspicions of the naysayer and skeptics

    Quantum Model for Nerve Pulse and EEG

    In this article a unified model of nerve pulse and EEG is discussed. a) In TGD Universe the function of EEG and its variants is to make possible communications from the cell membrane to the magnetic body and the control of the biological body by the magnetic body via magnetic flux sheets traversing DNA by inducing gene expression. This leads to the notions of super- and hyper-genome predicting coherent gene expression at level of organs and population. b) The assignment the predicted ranged classical weak and color gauge fields to dark matter hierarchy was a crucial step in the evolution of the model, and led among other things to a model of high T_c superconductivity predicting the basic scales of cell, and also to a generalization of EXG to a hierarchy of ZXGs, WXGs, and GXGs corresponding to Z^0, W bosons and gluons. c) Dark matter hierarchy and the associated hierarchy of Planck constants plays a key role in the model. For instance, in the case of EEG Planck constant must be so large that the energies of dark EEG photons are above thermal energy at physiological temperatures. The assumption that a considerable fraction of the ionic currents through the cell membrane are dark currents flowing along the magnetic flux tubes explains the strange findings about ionic currents through cell membrane. Concerning the model of nerve pulse generation, the newest input comes from the model of DNA as a topological quantum computer and experimental findings challenging Hodgkin-Huxley model as even approximate description of the situation. d) The identification of the cell interior as gel phase containing most of water as structured water around cytoskeleton - rather than water containing bio-molecules as solutes as assumed in Hodkin-Huxley model - allows to understand many of the anomalous behaviors associated with the cell membrane and also the different densities of ions in the interior and exterior of cell at qualitative level. The proposal of Pollack that basic biological functions involve phase transitions of gel phase generalizes in TGD framework to a proposal that these phase transitions are induced by quantum phase transitions changing the value of Planck constant. In particular, gel-sol phase transition for the peripheral cytoskeleton induced by the primary wave would accompany nerve pulse propagation. This view about nerve pulse is not consistent with Hodkin-Huxley model. The model leads to the following picture about nerve pulse and EEG. a) The system would consist of two superconductors- microtubule space-time sheet and the space-time sheet in cell exterior- connected by Josephson junctions represented by magnetic flux tubes defining also braiding in the model of tqc. The phase difference between two super-conductors would obey Sine-Gordon equation allowing both standing and propagating solitonic solutions. A sequence of rotating gravitational penduli coupled to each other would be the mechanical analog for the system. Soliton sequences having as a mechanical analog penduli rotating with constant velocity but with a constant phase difference between them would generate moving kHz synchronous oscillation. Periodic boundary conditions at the ends of the axon rather than chemistry determine the propagation velocities of kHz waves and kHz synchrony is an automatic consequence since the times taken by the pulses to travel along the axon are multiples of same time unit. Also moving oscillations in EEG range can be considered and would require larger value of Planck constant in accordance with vision about evolution as gradual increase of Planck constant. c) During nerve pulse one pendulum would be kicked so that it would start to oscillate instead of rotating and this oscillation pattern would move with the velocity of kHz soliton sequence. The velocity of kHz wave and nerve pulse is fixed by periodic boundary conditions at the ends of the axon implying that the time spent by the nerve pulse in traveling along axon is always a multiple of the same unit: this implies kHz synchrony. The model predicts the value of Planck constant for the magnetic flux tubes associated with Josephson junctions and the predicted force caused by the ionic Josephson currents is of correct order of magnitude for reasonable values of the densities of ions. The model predicts kHz em radiation as Josephson radiation generated by moving soliton sequences. EEG would also correspond to Josephson radiation: it could be generated either by moving or standing soliton sequences (latter are naturally assignable to neuronal cell bodies for which \hbar should be correspondingly larger): synchrony is predicted also now

    Three new physics realizations of the genetic code and the role of dark matter in bio-systems

    TGD inspired quantum biology leads naturally to the idea that several realizations of genetic code exist. Besides the realizations based on temporal patterns of electromagnetic �elds I have considered three di�erent new physics realizations of the genetic code based the notions of many- sheeted space-time, magnetic body, and the hierarchy of Planck constants explaining dark matter in TGD framework. 1. The �rst realization - proposed in the model for DNA as topological quantum computer (tqc) - maps the nucleotides A,G and T,C to dark quarks u,d and their anti-quarks assignable to the ends of magnetic ux tubes representing braid strands and connecting nucleotides to lipids of cell membrane. 2. Second realization was discovered in the model of dark nuclei as strings of dark baryons. Dark baryons realize codons in terms of quantum entanglement and without decomposition to letters. Dark baryons are strings of 3 quarks connected by two color ux tubes. The neutral states of the dark baryon predicted by the model are in 1-1 correspondence with DNA, RNA, aminoacids. Candidates for the counterparts of tRNA anticodons are also obtained if one accepts that genetic code actually decomposes to 2 steps 64 ! 40 ! 20 such that there are 40 dark baryon counterparts for tRNA anticodons. The amazing �nding is that vertebrate genetic code comes out correctly. 3. The third realization is a physical realization for the divisor code proposed by Khrennikov and Nilsson. The realization relies on two integers labeling magnetic ux tubes containing dark matter. The dark magnetic ux tubes assignable to DNA codons and amino-acids could be labeled by these integers providing a representation of the genetic code consistent with the divisor code. Also a physical mechanism implying the physical equivalence of the dark baryon code and divisor code can be imagined. The basic proposal is that dark baryon counterparts of basic bio-molecules and genetic code were present from beginning and gave rise to pre-biotic life at the magnetic ux tubes so that the evolution of biological life meant the development of translation and transcription mechanisms allowing to transform dark baryon variants of the codons to their chemical variants. These mechanisms would be still at work inside the living cell and allow the living matter to perform genetic engineering. This proposal is consistent with recent �ndings about large variations of genomes inside organism. There is a strange experimental �nding giving support for this picture. A water solution containing human cells infected by bacteria is sterilized by a �ltering procedure and healthy cells are added to the �ltrate. Within few weeks the infected cells re-appear. A possible explanation is that dark baryon variant of the bacterial genome realized as nano-sized particles remains in the solution despite the �ltering. The codes are discussed from the point of view of DNA as tqc hypothesis and the model for protein folding and bio-catalysis. The basic selection rules of bio-catalysis could be based on the two integers assignable to the dark magnetic ux tubes. Only bio-molecules whose dark magnetic bodies contain a layer characterized by same integers can be connected by dark magnetic ux tubes. The reconnection of the dark magnetic ux tubes selecting the bio-molecules participat- ing the catalytic reaction and the contraction of these ux tubes induced by a phase transition reducing Planck constant and forcing the bio-molecules near to each other would represent basic mechanisms of bio-catalysis

    Sniegti zinātniski apsvērumi par globālu plūdu iespējamību un Noas šķirsta ietilpību. Medijos plašu atsauksmi ir guvis Noas šķirsta jautājums. Tiek apgalvots, ka šāda konstrukcija ir redzēta Ararata kalnā mūsdienu Turcijas teritorijā. Teologi iebilst, ka fotografētais veidojums neatbilst bibliskā šķirsta dimensijām un drīzāk ir kalnu izcelsmes objekts. Otra populāri cilāts arguments ir sugu skaits, kas varētu ietilpt šķirstā. Zināms, ka Zeme ir novērota kā sugu izmiršanas, nevis izcelsmes vieta, agrāk bija vairāk, piemēram, par miljonu kukaiņu sugu. Šajā referātā autors jauniešu auditorijai atgādina par Bībelē minētajiem šķirsta izmēriem, ievērojot, ka „olekts” bija vismaz 45 centimetri. Runā autors min, ka šķirsts tādējādi bija apmēram uz pusi šaurāks par Rīgas Doma baznīcu, gandrīz tikpat augsts kā ēkas galvenais korpuss un garāks par baznīcu. Referātā tiek nosaukti arī ārpus teoloģijas esoši novērojumi par ūdens lomu cilvēces vēsturē. Noslēgumā ir alūzija uz M. Lutera 1514. gada tēzi „No ticības taisnais dzīvos”. Epizodiski referātā tika minēts arī tas, ka klimats uz Zemes pirms iespējamajiem plūdiem varēja būt dzīvībai labvēlīgāks kā šodien un varēja uzturēt ilgāku biblisko patriarhu mūžu. Iepriekš referāta autors ir runājis par to, ka visu planētu pārņemošu ūdens plūdu sekas ir novērotas uz planētas Marsa virsmas

    The UQV (Ultimate Questioner’s Vanity) Theory

    The UQV theory is a metaphysical theory that the universe is the consequence of the ultimate questioner’s vanity . This theory builds on the NSTP (Non – Spatial Thinking Process) theoretical metaphysical semi-solipsism, the position, which specifically regards the NSTP theoretical superhuman mind as a personal philosophical questioning supermind. The UQV theory further speculates the existence of the ultimate questioner, which, existing logically/conceptually beyond the superhuman mind, initiated the existence of my NSTP in order to ask an apparently unanswerable (philosophical) question about the nature of its own existence. And since the NSTP is extremely orderly and deterministic, the ultimate questioner already knows if the NSTP would or would not answer the question. Therefore, the theory states that the universe, which includes my NSTP, and possibly the superhuman mind, and even the necessary truths, is the product/consequence of the ultimate questioner’s vanity, the vanity of its own existence and intelligence.     Natural world physical, brain operational, and mind phenomenal space–time

    Concepts of space and time are widely developed in physics. However, there is a considerable lack of biologically plausible theoretical frameworks that can demonstrate how space and time dimensions are implemented in the activity of the most complex life-system—the brain with a mind. Brain activity is organized both temporally and spatially, thus representing space–time in the brain. Critical analysis of recent research on the space–time organization of the brain’s activity pointed to the existence of so-called operational space–time in the brain. This space–time is limited to the execution of brain operations of differing complexity. During each such brain operation a particular short-term spatio-temporal pattern of integrated activity of different brain areas emerges within related operational space–time. At the same time, to have a fully functional human brain one needs to have a subjective mental experience. Current research on the subjective mental experience offers detailed analysis of space–time organization of the mind. According to this research, subjective mental experience (subjective virtual world) has definitive spatial and temporal properties similar to many physical phenomena. Based on systematic review of the propositions and tenets of brain and mind space–time descriptions, our aim in this review essay is to explore the relations between the two. To be precise, we would like to discuss the hypothesis that via the brain operational space–time the mind subjective space–time is connected to otherwise distant physical space–time reality
