Multiperspectivity in the Context of Design-Based Research: Theoretical-methodological Considerations to Reading Literacy at the End of Primary School
Full text linkDieser Beitrag führt am Beispiel einer Studie den Gewinn von Multiperspektivität in der designbasierten Forschung aus. Ausgehend von spracherwerbstheoretischen, fachwissenschaftlichen und lesedidaktischen Erkenntnissen zum Lesenlernen (vgl. z.B. Topalović/Settinieri 2023, Vygotskij, 2002) werden Gestaltungsprinzipien zur Entwicklung des Lernsettings XXX formuliert. Das Design ist in einer Grundschule mit 35 Viertklässler:innen im Schuljahr 2022/23 über 10 Wochen erprobt worden. In diesem Beitrag werden quantitativen und qualitative Forschungsdaten ausgewertet, um das Lesenlernen mit Blick auf die Leseflüssigkeit, das Leseverstehen sowie zur Lesemotivation und zum Leseselbstkonzept multiperspektivisch zu rekonstruieren (vgl. Kelle 2007). Ziel ist es zum einen neue Erkenntnisse über die Unterstützung kindlicher Leselernprozesse abzuleiten und zum anderen das Lernsetting XXX weiterzuentwickeln. Das Ergebnis stellen drei theoretisch begründete und empirisch evaluierte Gestaltungsprinzipien dar, die mit Bezug auf Deci & Ryan (1985) für den wissenschaftlichen Diskurs anschlussfähig und aufgrund von Handlungsempfehlungen für die schulische Praxis umsetzbar sind.This article demonstrates the value of multiperspectivity in Design-Based Research. Design principles for the development of the learning environment Lesen mit Rätseln are based on scientific and didactic findings on reading literacy. The design was implemented in a primary school with 35 fourth-graders over 10 weeks (SJ 2022/23). Quantitative and qualitative data are analysed to reconstruct reading literacy from multiple perspectives about reading fluency, reading comprehension, reading motivation and self-concept of reading. The objective is to value new evidence of reading literacy at the end of primary school and to evaluate the learning environment Lesen mit Rätseln. The paper ends with three scientifically proven and empirically evaluated design principles. These design principles refer to Deci & Ryan (1985) and can be applied to German Didactics. Sprach(en)bewusstheit im Deutschunterricht: Gestaltung einer sprachreflexiven Lernumgebung in einem designbasierten Projekt
Full text linkDer folgende Beitrag beschreibt die Gestaltung einer sprachreflexiven Lernumgebung im Sinne der Design Based Research-Forschung. Auf der Grundlage des Conjecture Mapping nach Sandoval (2014) wurden Annahmen formuliert und Design-Elemente entwickelt. Ziel der Forschung ist es, neben der Entwicklung des Designs, Erkenntnisse über das Potential illustrierter mehrsprachiger Kinder- und Jugendliteratur zur (Weiter-)Entwicklung der individuellen Sprach(en)bewusstheit aus kindlicher Perspektive zu erhalten. In einem den Beitrag abschließenden Ausblick werden erste Forschungsergebnisse aus der Erprobung dieses Designs vorgestellt.Der folgende Beitrag beschreibt die erste Phase der Entwicklung einer sprachreflexiven Lernumgebung im Rahmen eines designbasierten Promotionsprojekts zur (Weiter-)Entwicklung von Sprach(en)bewusstheit durch mehrsprachige Kinder- und Jugendliteratur. In diesem Beitrag wird auf Grundlage des Conjecture Mappings nach Sandoval (2014) die Entwicklung einer sprachreflexiven Lernumgebung vorgestellt, in der mehrsprachige Kinder- und Jugendliteratur als Impuls genutzt wird, um die individuelle Sprach(en)bewusstheit von Schüler*innen durch metasprachliche Äußerungen sichtbar zu machen. Dazu wird die Entwicklung der sechs Hauptelemente des Conjecture Mappings detailliert erläutert. Im abschließenden Ausblick erfolgt die Vorstellung erster Forschungsergebnisse aus der Erprobung des Designs

Full text linkThe bombing of Guernica, on April 26, 1937, quickly garnered international attention. The question of the responsibility for this act of war against an unarmed and innocent civilian population arose immediately. The French press took part of this debate. Instead of doing an investigative work, the daily newspaper (the communist one L’Humanité or the conservative one Le Figaro) analysed the event according to their own political framework. However, catholic publications were shaken in their convictions: La Croix, a right-wing newspaper, hesitated to acknowledge the responsibility of the Franco’s army and his allies, while the magazine Esprit denounced the myth of the Crusade. The bombing of Guernica thus constituted a crisis in French Catholicism.El bombardeo de Guernica, el 26 de abril de 1937, rápidamente encontró un eco internacional. De inmediato surgió la cuestión de la responsabilidad de este acto de guerra contra una población civil, desarmada e inocente. La prensa francesa participó en este debate. Sin embargo, en lugar de llevar a cabo una investigación seria, los periódicos (el diario comunista L’Humanité pero también el periódico conservador Le Figaro) analizaron el acontecimiento según sus propias ideas políticas. Por su parte, las publicaciones católicas fueron sacudidas en sus convicciones éticas: La Croix, una publicación de derecha, vaciló en reconocer la responsabilidad del bando franquista y de sus aliados, mientras que la revista Esprit denunció el mito de la Cruzada. El bombardeo de Guernica constituyó así una crisis en el catolicismo francés.Le bombardement de Guernica, le 26 avril 1937, rencontre très rapidement un écho international. D’emblée se pose la question des responsabilités de cet acte de guerre contre une population civile, désarmée et innocente. La presse française ne reste pas en marge de ce débat. Mais, plutôt que de mener un travail d’investigation, les quotidiens (le journal communiste L’Humanité ou celui de la droite conservatrice Le Figaro) traitent l’évènement selon une grille d’analyse politique. Les publications catholiques, quant à elles, sont atteintes dans leurs convictions : La Croix, journal de droite, hésite à reconnaitre la responsabilité du camp franquiste et de ses alliés, tandis que la revue Esprit dénonce le mythe de la Croisade. Le bombardement de Guernica constitue alors une crise du catholicisme français
The Location of the Candace Episode in the Alexander Romance and the Chronicle of John Malalas
Full text linkThe Alexander Romance is vague about Alexander\u27s passage from India to the realm of Candace of Meroë, but seems to suggest it is accomplished swiftly and easily. The earliest versions of the Romance, moreover, indicate there were close relations between Candace\u27s kingdom and India, even that her ancestors once held power over India. If Candace\u27s realm is identified as Ethiopia, this is a perplexing state of affairs. But it seems to have taken on a plausibility with the rise of the kingdom of Aksum. In the De Vita Bragmanorum Palladius depicts Aksum as a province of a vast empire centred on Sri Lanka. But it is John Malalas, in his universal chronicle, who modifies the story of Alexander and Candace to explicitly locate it in Aksum, or the land of the \u27Inner Indians\u27, as distinct from both India and Ethiopia. This modification not only made sense of several details in the Alexander Romance, but was also consistent with shifting attitudes toward Ethiopians and Aksumites in Late Antiquity
