NUANSA MAKNA SINONIM ADJEKTIVA SIKAP BATIN DALAM BAHASA INDONESIA
The purpose of this study was to determine the pair of synonyms and nuances of the meaning of the pair of synonyms of the Indonesian mental attitude adjective. This research is qualitative research using the descriptive method. The data of this study are the basic adjectives of the inner attitude of Indonesian. The results of this study indicate that (1) there are 26 pairs of Indonesian mental attitude adjectives that are proven to be synonymous and (2) all pairs of Indonesian mental attitude adjectives that prove synonymous with meaning nuances. KATEGORISASI DAN KARAKTERISTIK MITOS MASYARAKAT BUGIS DAN MAKASSAR
Categorization and Characteristics of the Myth of Bugis and Makassar Society. This study aims to inventory and reconstruct categories and characteristics (linguistic features) of myths of Bugis and Makassar through qualitative research. The myths in the oral forms were gathered from informants through in-depth interviews accompanied by recording and field notes. Data were analyzed using domain analysis, taxonomic, component, and cultural theme based on Bascom's theory (1965a). The results indicate that the Bugis myths have three categories: cosmogonic, origin, and faunal, while four categories of the Makassar myths: cosmogonic, origin, faunal, and dynasty. The characteristics of Bugis and Makassar myths tend to exhibit great similarities, either due to the influence of monogenesis or polygenesis. The fundamental difference between the Bugis and Makassar myths lies in the cosmogonic about rice, faunal about crocodiles, and human endogenic about Tu Manurung. This difference is based on the views of the Bugis and Makassar people on the origin of rice, gender, marriage, geography, and kingdom or partners area

Prophetical Ethics on Folklores of Surakarta. This study aims to describe the humanism, liberation, and transcendence ethics as pillars of prophetical ethics on the folklores of Surakarta. The method of investigation used was descriptive qualitative approach by implementing critical analysis methods with the objects of the study were the folklores spread in regional of Surakarta. The collecting data methods used were a literature review, observation, and interviews and there were analyzed with several steps (1) data reduction, (2) data presentation, and (3) drawing conclusions. The result of the study was, the folklores in Surakarta regions provide prophetical values, namely (1) humanism ethics, including: big soul, caring, apologizer, helper; (2) liberation ethics, including: learning, rights fighters, glory, unity, and (3) ethics of transcendence, including: meditation, surrendered, sincerely, and obedience to leaders

The Form of Text Communication in Eka Kurniawan’s Corat-coret di Toilet Short Story Collection. The purpose of this study is to find the method of text communication in the Corat-coret di Tolet short stories collection. The form of this study is a literary study with structural analysis methods as offered in the narrative theory of Gerard Gennette. The results of the study are the classification of the text communication method of short stories namely: zero and fixed internal focalization; subsequent and simultaneous narrating times; intradiegetic-heterodiegetic, extradiegetic-heterodiegetic, and intradiegetic-homodiegetic types of narrating level and person; the character and writer as a narrator. The findings of the classification of text communication methods indicate the existence of a gender bias that alienates women's position in the story

Legitimacy of Balinese Customary Lawin Cultural Literature Works. This article talks about the legitimacy of Balinese customary law and the reinterpretation of the authors of Balinese customary law in cultural literary works. The source of research data comes from the collection of "Bunga Jepun" short stories by Fajar Arcana, "Mandi Api" by Aryantha Soethama, Novel "Tarian Bumi" by Oka Rusmini, and "Incest" by Wayan Artika. The research data was collected by the library study method and then analyzed based on a qualitative descriptive approach which has several mechanisms, namely reduction, presentation of data, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study indicate that the legality of Balinese customary law in question in cultural literature is about the customary law of marriage, the law of inheritance, the law of neglect (exclusion), and the ritual law of malik sumpah. Argumentation Pattern on Genres of Exposition Texts by High School Students. This article aims to describe the pattern of argumentation in the essays of student expositions based on the theoretical study of Toulmin's Argumentation Pattern (TAP). The documentation technique was used in data collection in sources in the form of expositions of class X students from five schools in Makassar City, namely Makassar 14 High School (24 data), Makassar 4 Public High School, Makassar 9 Public High School, Athirah Makassar Islamic High School, and SMA Tri Tunggal 45 Makassar. The results of the analysis show nine argumentation patterns produced in the exposition essay, ranging from the most basic and simple patterns to the most complex patterns, namely (1) C-D, (2) C-D-W, (3) C-D-Q, (4) C-D-R, (5) C-D-W-B, (6) C-D-W-Q, (7) C-D-W-R, (8) C-D-Q-R, and (9) C-D-W-B-Q

Conceptualization of Metaphors in the 2018 Kompas Opinion Rubric: Cognitive Semantic Studies. This study aims to reveal the types of conceptual metaphors in Kompas opinion writing in 2018. This type of research includes qualitative research that is descriptive analysis. The method used in this study is the Agih method with advanced techniques for Direct Elements. The results showed that the ontology metaphor was dominantly found in writing opinion rubrics compared to structural and orientational metaphors. The author of opinion transfers more of the construction of his abstract ideas into objects that have physical properties. The characteristic of metaphor found that metaphor is associated with nature, such as shipwreck, collapse, storm sweeping, farming, and blowing. Image schemes depicted from the concepts of dominant metaphors represent the concept of existence.
THE USE OF SPEECH ACTS IN ANGNGARU OF MAKASSAR SOCIETY
The Use of Speech Acts in Angngaru of Makassar Society.The objective of this research is to explore the use of speech acts in Angngaru. Through the framework of speech act Searle (1969), this paper focuses on exploring the types and functions of Angngaruin Makassar society. To gain data, Angngarutexts were collected and analyzedthrough the techniques of discourse analysis. To support the data analysis, some performances of Angngaru were observed. The performers of Angngaru were also interviewed. The results of the study show that Angngaruhas important roles in Makassar society. The types of speech acts were found in Angngaru such as representatives, directives, commissives, and expressives. The analysis of the types and functions in this language useremarsthe strong relationship between language and culture in a particular society.
