    This study aims to examine the relationship between teaching of Islamic Economics courses in college and the interest of students to save in Islamic Bank. This is a descriptive-quantitative research by taking a case study of STIE Ahmad Dahlan Jakarta students. The study concluded that there is a significant relationship between the material of Islamic Economics, the intensity of learning , and students' understanding to imcrease the interest of students to save in Islamic Bank.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk untuk mengamati hubungan antara pengajaran mata kuliah Ekonomi Islam di perguruan tinggi terhadap minat mahasiswa untuk menabung di Bank Syariah. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskripstif-kuantitatif dengan mengambil kasus mahasiswa STIE Ahmad Dahlan Jakarta. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa terhadap hubungan yang signifikan antara materi Ekonomi Islam, intensitas belajar, dan pemahaman mahasiswa terhadap minat menabung di Bank Syariah. &nbsp

    Kesepadanan Terjemahan Polisemi: Penelitian Analisis Konten pada Terjemahan Surat al-Baqarah Kementerian Agama

    This research aims to assess the equivalence of polysemy translation from Arabic into Indonesian in al-Baqarah from the Indonesian Ministry of Religious Affairs translation version. The research was conducted from the results of al-Baqa>rah translation which is published by Ministry of Religious Affairs. This Reseach uses qulaitative method with content analysis. Primary data are derived from translation texts which is containing polysemy in the al-Baqa>rah translation of the ministry of religious affairs version, especially the result of translation  toward verses which is containing polycemy. Secondary data are obtained from an authoritative interpretation books such as Tafsir Jami‘ al-Bayan, Tafsir al-Fahru al-Razi, Tafsir al-Ruh al-Ma‘ani  and Tafsir  al-Maraghi. The researche found that (1) there are 12 words of polycemy in Al-Baqarah which consisted of fi’il (verba), isim (nomina) and huruf (particles). (2). There are four procedures in the translations which are conducted by ministry of religious affairs such as transposition, modulation, subastraction and addition (3) the translations of polysemy in the al-Baqarah from ministry of religious affairs version have the type of equivalent translation, but the problem is there is the tendency of translators who often chose the prototypical meaning as option whereas there are words which should not be right if using that meaning and must refer to the secondary meaning.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap kesepadanan penerjemahan polisemi  dari bahasa Arab ke dalam Bahasa Indonesia pada surat al-Baqarah terjemahan Kementerian Agama RI. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif  dan analisis isi. Data primer berupa hasil terjemahan surat al-Baqarah, khususnya terjemahan ayat-ayat yang mengadung polisemi. Data sekunder berasal dari kitab-kitab tafsir seperti Tafsir Jami al-Bayan, Tafsir al-Fahru al-Razi, Tafsir al-Ruh al-Ma‘ani dan juga Tafsir al-Maraghi. Dari penelitian ini didapatkan; (1) 12 kata polisemi dalam surat al-Baqa>rah yang terdiri dari fi‘il (verba), isim (nomina) dan juga huruf (partikel). (2) terdapat empat prosedur yang digunakan oleh tim penerjemahan Alquran Kementerian Agama dalam menerjemahkan poliseme, yakni meliputi trasnposisi, modulasi, pengurangan dan penambahan. (3) hasil terjemahan polisme dalam surat al-Baqarah versi Kementerian Agama tergolong ke dalam terjemahan yang sepadan. Namun permasalahan terdapat pada kecenderungan penerjemah yang sering memilih makna referensial padahal konteks ayat merujuk kepada makna sekunder (konotatif)

    In this research analyzed some verses pertaining to the word bunayya, which is defined as an addressing term for a child that is full of affection. In Islam, educating a child is very important; therefore, parents are obligated to educate and direct their children to the right path. The research adopted descriptive method with qualitative approach. The technique use for data collection was literature study. In this research, the researcher is the main instrument. Based on the findings, it can be inferred that affection is the primary foundation in education. As the education given is laid on the basis of affection, no matter how hard the commands, prohibitions, and even reprimands are, a child will more easily accept them because they are given by the father with full of affection. Subsequently, the implication of the findings for the teaching and learning of Islamic education in schools is that in the inculcation of the values of affection, an educator should educate and teach knowledge to his or her students with full of affection.Penelitian ini mengkaji ayat-ayat yang berhubungan dengan kata bunayya, yang diartikan sebagai panggilan penuh dengan kasih sayang kepada seorang anak. Tujuan utama dari pendidikan dalam Islam adalah tercapainya keikhlasan beribadah kepada Allah dan penanaman aqidah yang bersih dalam diri anak. Penelitian menggunakan metode deskriptif, dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yakni studi kepustakaan. Dalam penelitian ini, peneliti sebagai instrumen utama. Berdasarkan penelitian yang telah dilakukan, dapat disimpulkan bahwa kasih sayang merupakan dasar utama dalam mendidik sebagaimana yang terkandung dalam kata bunayya. Mendidik dengan kasih sayang, meskipun itu dalam bentuk sebuah perintah, sebuah larangan maupun sebuah teguran akan lebih mudah diterima anak, karena seorang ayah memerintah, melarang maupun menegurnya diawali dengan penuh kasih sayang. Kemudian implikasinya dalam pembelajaran PAI di sekolah yaitu penanaman nilai kasih sayang dalam mendidik. Seorang pendidik dalam hal mendidik maupun mengajarkan ilmu terhadap peserta didik, menyampaikannya  dengan cara penuh kasih sayang

    Hilah dalam Produk Pembiayaan Syariah: (Evaluasi Skema Akad KPR Murabahah dan Gadai Syariah)

    This article aims to evaluate the financing products of Islamic Financial Institutions that are suspected to contain hilah  (legal stratagem). This research uses library study with qualitative design through fiqh and Islamic finance approach. Based on some indicators and parameters of hilah, it is found that Murabahah scheme in Islamic mortgages and al-Rahn and al-Ijarah scheme in Islamic pawn contract were formulated by hilah methods, only Islamic mortgages can be categorized into permissible hilah, while the Islamic pawn included into impermissible one. Thus it can be determined also that Murabahah mortgage can be used for a limited period, and should be reformulated after the loss of a variety of technical barriers, otherwise Islamic Pawn product should be immediatedly  reformulated in line with the provisions of law and does not resemble the  interest based of conventional mortgage.Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi produk-produk pembiayaan di Lembaga Keuangan Syariah yang diduga mengandung praktek hilah. Hasil riset dilakukan melalui studi kepustakaan dengan disain kualitatif serta menggunakan pendekatan fiqh dan keuangan syariah. Berdasarkan indikasi dan parameter hilah ditemukan bahwa skema akad Murabahah  dalam KPR Syariah dan skema akad al-rahn dan al-ijarah dalam Gadai Syariah diformulasi melalui metode hilah, hanya saja KPR dengan akad  Murabahah dapat dikategorikan ke dalam hilah yang diperbolehkan, sedangkan Gadai Syariah termasuk kepada hilah  yang dicela. Dengan demikian dapat ditetapkan pula bahwa KPR murabahah dapat digunakan dalam jangka waktu terbatas, dan direformulasi setelah hilangnya berbagai hambatan tekhnis, sebaliknya gadai syariah harus segera direformulasi agar sejalan dengan ketentuan syariat dan tidak menyerupai sistem bunga dalam gadai konvensional

    Islam has been expressed through its adherents in many ways. Sometimes the expression has been judged as hard and even arrogant. This is not the case with Islam in Indonesia which has been shown more friendly expression of Islam. However, the radical movements have challenged this peaceful image of Islam in Indonesian. The research which mainly utilized the library sources has concludes that Islam in Indonesia is still considered to be a moderate Islam and in this case, Muhammadiyah and Nahdlatul Ulama are two organizations which can be seen as the guardians of Islamic moderatism in Indonesia. Wajah Islam di berbagai belahan dunia kadang terlihat keras dan bahkan arogant. Hal ini berbeda dengan Islam di Indonesia yang cenderung ramah. Namun demikian, gambaran Islam yang ramah ini sempat terganggu dengan adanya gerakan  radikal.     Communal Feast Slametan: ‎ Belief System, Ritual, and the Ideal of Javanese Society

    This paper focuses on the Javanese Muslims religious belief and its ritual, slametan, ‎which is prevalently performed in Java. This ritual is of great significance to the ‎Javanese Muslim community, and is counted as syncretistic ritual of Islamic and the ‎Javanese traditions. The ritual is though analysed in relation to the society ideal of unity ‎and harmony as the standard set for the indicator that the life of people is in order and ‎in a slamet condition or ‘nothing happens’. This paper argues that this ceremony is the ‎main ritual among Javanese Muslims which to a large extent reflects and symbolises the ‎religious belief, slamet principle of the people living together, and having strong ‎awareness of others. This ideal in the end conceives some element of sacredness which ‎has the influence on the relationship between individual and social behaviour.â€

    Inheritance Laws in Indonesia

    Indonesia implements civil law system. There are three sub legal systems which are implemented until today. They are: positive/national law system, Islamic law system, and Adat law system. The majority of Indonesians are Islamic believers. The people claim that they are a religious nation. However, the implementation of the inheritance law in accordance with the Islamic law and the Adat law is sometimes different. One of the ethnic groups which has different regulation in heritance is Minangkabau. Minangkabau inheritance adat law has been a controversy. It is because while they claim that all Minangkabau people are Islam, they implement an inheritance law that is said as violating the Islamic inheritance law. In Islam, inheritance is passed down to children, both daughter(s) and son(s)  with the composition son(s) inherits two parts compared to daugther(s). Many people  mislead that the Minangkabau inheritance law passes down the inheritance to daughter(s) only. This paper discusses: 1) how are inheritance matter regulated in each of the aforementioned sub legal system? 2) how is inheritance matter regulated in Minangkabau ethnic group?    Indonesia merupakan negara yang menerapkan sistem hukum yang disebut civil law. Ada tiga sub sistem yang diterapkan sampai saat ini: sistem hukum positif/nasional, sistem hukum Islam, dan sistem hukum adat. Mayoritas penduduk Indonesia adalah pemeluk agama Islam. Bangsa Indonesia mengklaim mereka adalah bangsa yang religius. Hukum waris yang diimplementasikan berbeda antara hukum Islam dan hukum adat. Salah satu grup etnis yang memiliki aturan berbeda terkait hukum waris adalah suku Minangkabau. Hukum adat waris Minangkabau kerap menjadi kontroversi. Hal ini dikarenakan mereka muslim tetapi mereka menerapkan hukum waris yang disebut melanggar hukum waris Islam. Di dalam Islam, warisan diturunkan kepada anak laki-laki dan perempuan dengan laki-laki mendapat dua bagian dibanding dengan yang diperoleh perempuan. Banyak orang yang mengira hukum waris Minangkabau mengatur bahwa warisan diturunkan hanya ke anak perempuan. This paper attends to display the history of religious life that led to the peace, and thus it is importance to show cultivate messages of peace and tolerance in religious communitees. This paper presents data form History that was processed through historical analysys and generates an interesting conclusion, that religious diversity and beliefs, does not hinder people of different religions to practice each other live in harmony side by side, even work together to create a cultural creatifity in the field of art, science and literature. The result of study can serve as a comparison and a healing for conflict resolution which involves religion in it, like what happens between Israelits Jeiwsh and Palestinians Muslim.&nbsp
