Tingkat Efisiensi dan Produktivitas Lembaga Zakat di Indonesia
Efficiency and Productivity Rate of Zakah Institution in IndonesiaThis study aimed to measure the efficiency and productivity of five zakah institutions. Calculation of efficiency level in this study are relative, not absolute. This Study consists of two methods: Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA), and Malmquist Productivity Index (MPI). There are 5 research objects, namely DD, BAZNAS, PKPU, YBM BRI and RZI with annual data 2005 to 2014. Furthermore, the lowest relative efficiencies level is DD (2010) amounted to 9.63%. In addition, approximately 80% of five OPZs increased the productivity. In the general, the main factor of inefficient of five zakat institutions from 2005 to 2014 was caused by distribution of zakah to ashnaf which still not optimal, then it cannot solve the poverty rate. Furthermore, it needs to increase collection and distribution of zakah fund amounted to 31.53% and 47.87%. Besides that it needs to decrease cost of socialization and operational cost amounted to 11.81% and 8.79%.DOI: 10.15408/ess.v7i1.3687

Brand Equity and Purchase Decision: Study at Elementary School Consumer in Depok CityThis study aims to identify: how brand equity’s factors of Biskuat and purchase decision of this biscuit by children consumer at the elementary school age in Depok City, as well as how the influence of brand equity’s factors of Biskuat towards purchase decision of this biscuit by children consumer at the elementary school age in Depok City. The object of this study is brand awareness, brand association, perceived quality, brand loyalty and purchase decision. The study was conducted in six sub-district of Depok City, with 100 children as the respondent from several schools and environments in six sub-district of Depok City.Testing hypotheses using path analysis (path analysis) which is equipped with testing the validity and reliability. Based on the analysis of the model lines of research, obtained results that brand equity which is brand awareness, brand association, perceived quality, and brand loyalty in partially and simultaneously has significantly affect to purchase decision.DOI: 10.15408/ess.v7i1.478

The Achievers Life Style and Decision to Use Credit CardThis study discusses the effect of achievers lifestyle on the decision to use credit card to customers of credit card customers of Bank Mandiri branch Pematangsiantar. The goal is to determine the effect of achievers\u27 lifestyle with the decision to use credit cards to customers of Bank Mandiri credit card users. The number of respondents determined as many as 100 respondents. Sampling procedure is done by purposive sampling that is sampling technique based on credit card user who live in Pematangsiantar city. Mutiple linier regressions are used as technique of analysis. The results showed that the achievers lifestyle variables have a significant influence on the decision to use credit cards. From result of regression analysis known that activity and opinion variable have influence stronger than interest to decision using credit card.DOI: 10.15408/ess.v7i2.498
Determinan Pembiayaan Pada Bank Pembiayaan Rakyat Syariah di Indonesia
Financing Determinants in The Indonesian Islamic Rural BankIslamic Rural Bank serves as a financial intermediary to carry out the activities of collecting and distributing funds from the public. Therefore, it is necessary to test whether internal factors, which include deposit funds, capital adequacy ratio, financing to deposit ratio and non-performing financing significantly affects to financing. The purpose of this study is to examine the factors that affect the financing in Islamic rural bank in Indonesia. The analytical tool used in this research is multiple linear regression analysis. The results of the study, to simultaneously show that the Third Party Funds, Capital Adequacy Ratio, Financing to Deposit Non-Performing Financing significantly affects to Distribution of Funding in SRB (BPRS), while the rest is explained by other factors not enrolled in this study.DOI: 10.15408/ess.v7i1.4542

Determine Factor of Managerial Performance: Study at State University in JakartaThis study aims to analyse the influence of budget participation and role conflict on managerial performance, how professional orientation can moderate the relationship of budget participation and role conflict on managerial performance. This study has selected 66 lecturers from three universities (UI, UNJ dan UIN Jakarta). The data collected were analyzed using Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA). The research has resulted in the following conclusions: The budget participation does not affect the performance of managerial, The professional orientation functions as moderating variables (pure moderator) to strengthen the relationship between budgetary participation on managerial performance, The role conflict is influential on managerial performance and the professional orientation functions as moderating variables (quasi-moderator) so as to strengthen the relationship between role conflict and managerial performance.DOI: 10.15408/ess.v7i2.491
Hubungan Volatilitas dan Volume Perdagangan di Bursa Efek Indonesia
The Relationship Between Volatility and Trading Volume in The Indonesian Stock ExchangeThere are a lot of studies that examine the relationship between volatility and trading volume in the stock exchange. This study is conducted to examine the role of trading frequency and volume in explaining the volatility-volume relationship in the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). The analysis is conducted at the firm level with samples of 38 individual stocks from January 2012 to December 2013. The results show that there is a positive relationship between volatility and trading frequency as well as between volatility and trading volume. The results also find that trading frequency is better than trading volume in explaining volatility.DOI: 10.15408/ess.v7i1.3894

Operational Audit, Internal Audit and Inventory Management: Study at Toserba YogyaIn a trading company, inventory is an asset that needs to be managed properly. The objective of this study is to determine the influence of operational audit and internal control on warehouse management of Yogya Mitrabatik department store Tasikmalaya. This study is using descriptive and multiple linear regression analysis method. Sample of the study are 50 employees whoinvolved in the warehouse management and internal auditors.The study found that all of the variables have been implemented well. The operational audit and internal control influence the warehouse management significantly and simultaneously with 0.337 determination coefficient score. While partially, only internal control that significantly and positively influence on the warehouse management.
