Karakteristik Perusahaan Terhadap Luas Pengungkapan Corporate Social Responsibility
Globalization provides open competition to every business actor, to become a superior and valuable company one of the ways that can be taken by the company through disclosure of the corporate social reports (CSR). This paper wants to explore how far the characteristics of the company influence the extent of CSR disclosure. The method in this study uses the empirical study hypothesis testing approach by sampling all companies indexed L-Q45 on the Indonesia stock exchange. The reason selection of this index is the leading index in Indonesia with tightly defined criteria by regulators, including levels of liquidity, market capitalization, and growth prospects of the company. The results of the data analysis that has been done obtained results Profitability and total assets influence the broad disclosure of CSR, this also supports stakeholder theory and legitimacy theory, on the contrary, leverage does not affect the broad disclosure of CSR. That caused by the management of the company seeing high leverage tends to reduce the disclosure of social responsibility so as not to be in the spotlight of the debtholders
Mobile Display Advertising: Perilaku Niat Pembelian Konsumen pada High Involvement vs Low Involvement Product
This study uses the theory of Stimulus-Organism-Response (S-O-R) using a quantitative approach. Sampling using non-probability sampling method, using purposive sampling technique. Respondents in this study were 200 respondents in the purchase intention category in the High Involvement product and also 200 in the Low Involvement product category. The analysis technique used in this study is Partial Least Square (PLS). The results showed that browsing activities on Instagram for both the High and Low Involvement categories of the product had a positive influence on flow conditions, online trust, and purchase intentions. Then online trust in an account on Instagram has a positive influence on flow conditions. Likewise, the flow condition variable and online trust also have an influence on the purchase intention of the latest items on Instagram. There is no difference in consumer behavior towards purchase intentions in the online domain between High and Low Involvement products
Mampukah Kecerdasan Spiritual Memoderasi Hubungan Faktor Demografi dalam Mengelola Keuangan Pribadi Mahasiswa?
This study examines the effect of demographic factors on personal financial management with spiritual intelligence as a moderating variable. The sampling technique is proportionate random sampling, the number of research samples 388 students of State Islamic University Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang. The test results indicate an influence on personal financial management. The positive influence of demographic factors with age characteristics on personal financial management. As for the characteristics of the sex found no influence on personal financial management. Spiritual intelligence as a moderating variable is able to strengthen the relationship between demographic factors and personal financial management of State Islamic University Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang students. Education providers to design finance education patterns can use the implications of this study for students
Factors Influence Corporate Social Responsibility Disclosure
This study aims to analyze factors influence Corporate Social Responsibility Disclosure in palm oil plantation companies in Indonesia and Malaysia. This study analyzes influences of total assets, profitability, leverage, independent proportion of commissioners, the proportion of independent audit committee. This study is conduct on financial reports published in Indonesia and Malaysia. Methods of data collection are taken from the annual financial statements in Indonesia Stock Exchange of 17 companies and Bursa Malaysia of 22 companies. Data analysis techniques used multiple regressions. The results showed that; 1) there is no influence of total asset, profitability, leverage, and proportion of independent audit committee in palm oil plantation companies in Indonesia and Malaysia; 2) there is influence of independent board of commissioner on CSR disclosure practices in palm oil plantation companies Indonesia and Malaysi
Strategi Peningkatan Kinerja Sektor Pariwisata Indonesia Pada ASEAN Economic Community
Tourism industry has the important role in attracting manpower. In Indonesia, the tourism sector is one of the 11 jobs that absorb the most labor. By 2015 the tourism industry contributes 10% from Indonesia GDP total with the highest nominal in ASEAN. On the beginning of 2016 officially started the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC), that is a cooperation to improve the economic, political, and cultural performance of 10 ASEAN countries. It is necessary to improve the performance of Indonesia tourism to compete in AEC. Those are the background of doing this research. The method of this research is using qualitative research methodology with techniques of data collection by literature study and interviews, which were conducted with two interviewees from the Indonesia Ministry of Tourism. Determinan Tingkat Kepuasan Penulis Terhadap Tata Kelola Jurnal Ilmiah
Customer satisfaction is one of the important things in improving service quality. This study aims to examine the factors that influence the level of author satisfaction in the management of scientific journals. Also, this study also aims to map the strengths and weaknesses of journal management at State Islamic University (UIN) Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta. The analysis technique used in this study is multiple regression and SWOT analysis. The results showed that the determinants of satisfaction level were physical appearance, reliability, and quality of articles. Also, this study shows SWOT results in quadrant V. Selectivity and Market Timing Ability of Mutual Fund Investment Manajer in IndonesiaThere are two aspects to examining whether mutual fund managers perform well and enable high return from mutual funds; these are selectivity and market timing ability. The purpose of this paper is to examine selectivity and market timing ability of Indonesia Mutual Funds from January 2009 to December 2016 using monthly returns. Treynor & Mazuy and Henriksson & Merton models applied to a sample size of 33 mutual funds. Both models show that the investment managers of mutual funds in Indonesia have no selectivity ability. The result also found that 11 mutual funds have positive statiscally significant market timing coefficient using Treynor & Mazuy models and 10 mutual funds have positive statiscally significant market timing coefficient using Henriksson & Merton Models.DOI: 10.15408/ess.v8i1.655
The Determinants of Mutual Funds Success in Pakistan
The prime goal of this research is to find out the determinants of mutual fund’s success in Pakistan. This study exploits the convenient sampling techniques and the data gathered from fund manager reports, annual reports, and from CDCPL. The sample size of this study relaxed to six Assets Management Companies (AMC)’s from 2013 to 2017. We applied a unit root test for finding the nature of data and check the variation of variable’s mutual performance by Hausman Technique. Moreover, we depicted the association between dependent and independent variables with the help of Constant Coefficient Model. It was concluded that risk-adjusted return, management structure, and expense ratio have a significant impact on the size of fund of selected AMC’S of Pakistan. However, the net asset value found to be negatively related with the size of the fund. This research will help investors, AMC’s and regulatory bodies to understand the dynamics of mutual funds in Pakistan.DOI: 10.15408/ess.v8i2.743
