Pertumbuhan cabai (Capsicum annuum L.) dengan pemberian Gigaspora margarita dan bokashi jerami padi pada tanah gambut
Peat soil has nutrient availability which is relatively low and soil acidity which is high and therefore contributes to the growth of hybrid pepper (Capsicum annuum). One of the efforts to improve the growth of hybrid pepper is by using Vesicles Arbuscular Mycorrhizal fungus (VAM) Gigaspora margarita and rice straw bokashi as organic fertilizer. This study aims to determine the growth of hybrid pepper plants on peat soil which is inoculated with VAM fungi and rice straw bokashi. This research had been done from August to November 2013. The findings of MVA inoculated fungi did not significantly affect on the plant height and number of leaves but significantly affect on wet weight, dry weight and the percentage of root infection. The treatment of rice straw bokashi did not significantly affect the plant height, the numbers of leaves and the wet weight but significanty affect on the dry weight and percentage of root infection. The interaction between VAM and rice straw bokashi had no significant effects on all the parameters observed. The concentrations of VAM fungal inoculation VAM and the treatment of rice straw bokashi showed that the highest influence on each parameter is 15 g and 600 g respectively
Kondisi hematologi pemulung yang terpapar gas amoniak di tempat pembuangan akhir (TPA) sampah Batu Layang Pontianak
Ammonia is naturally formed from the breakdown of proteins in the decomposition of organic waste. The aim of this research is to understand the level of ammonia in ambient air and in the blood of the gerbage collectors at TPA Batu Layang Pontianak, as well as their hematologic condition after the gas exposed. This research had been done from October to November 2013. The ammonia level measurement was done by using Indofenol method of 0.0223 – 0.0817 ppm. Both male and female gerbage collectors, who had been working for more than 5 years, had the highest ammonia in blood levels of 0.719 mg/l and 0.705 mg/l respectively. The result of the regression analysis showed that the gerbage collectors, who had worked for longer period, had the higher ammonia and the lower hemoglobin level in their blood. The ammonia in blood level also caused the defective erythrocytes membrane and the systolic blood pressure, so that it became unstable. The result also showed that erythrocytes have shape abnormality which is categorised as elliptocytes. A garbage collector, who had the lowest ammonia level (0.058 mg/l) had the damaged erythrocytes percentage of 12.13%. Whereas, the garbage collectors that had the highest ammonia level (0.719 mg/l) had the damaged erythrocytes percentage of 30.09%
Respon Pertumbuhan Kultur Biji Jeruk Siam Seed (Citrus nobilis var. Microcarpa) dengan Penambahan Ekstrak Tauge dan Benzilaminopurine (BAP)
Jeruk Siam (Citrus Nobilis var. Microcarpa) is one of the orange that become a commodity in Pontianak. The purpose of this experiment is to investigate the effects of sprout extract and BAP and the optimum conceration for the growth of Jeruk Siam culture seed orangesiam Seed. Research conducted for 3 months from June to August 2013 in the Tissue Culture Laboratory of Biology, University of Tanjungpura Pontianak. Completely Randomized Design (CRD) factorial with 2 factors treatment was used for experimental design. The first factor on the sprout extract concentration level (0 %, 5 %,10%,15 % , ) and the second factor on the level of concentration of BAP (0 ppm, 0.5 ppm , 1 ppm, 1.5 ppm) The results showed there are significant influence between sprout and extract concentration of 0.5 ppm BAP with 10 % sprout extract and 1 ppm BAP with 15 % sprout extract of 2.875 strands. The given of 10% sprout extract and number of plantlets 3.5 plantlets dry weight of 0.38 grams . BAP 0.5 ppm produce plantlets 4.988 cm tall and produces a concentration of 1 ppm wet weight of 0.2 grams
Penghambatan Pertumbuhan Jamur Fusarium oxysporum Schlecht Pada Batang Padi (Oryza sativa L.) Menggunakan Ekstrak Metanol Umbi Bawang Mekah (Eleutherine palmifolia Merr.)
The wilt disease caused by Fusarium oxysporum Schlecht is a constraint in the cultivation of rice (Oryza sativa L.). This study aim was to determine the potential of the methanol extract of mekah onion (Eleutherine palmifolia Merr.) bulbs as antifungal for F. oxysporum. The fungi was isolated from rice stem samples that showed symptoms of Fusarium wilt disease. Fungi isolation was done through direct planting method and the test of antifungal inhibition capability was done by solid dilution method through poisoning food. The test results showed that the methanol extract of mekah onion bulbs contain secondary metabolites are able to inhibit the growth of of F. oxysporum colonies. Concentration of 62.5% has significant effect on inhibiting the growth of F. oxysporum
Pengkayaan Tanah Bekas Tambang Emas dengan Penambahan Lumpur IPAM sebagai Media Pertumbuhan Sawi (Brassica juncea L.)
Soil of former gold mine requires soil quality improvement through increasing organic matter compound that may be sourced from the sludge of water treatment plant (IPAM). IPAM sludge which a by-product of water treatment from Kapuas river contains humic substance. The research aimed to discover the effects of former gold mine soil improved by IPAM sludge addition on mustard (Brassica juncea L.) growth. The research was conducted from August to October 2013. The research used Completely Randomized Design which consists of five planting media combination with five replications following replacement series method. The planting media combinations used are : Treatment A (0 % IPAM sludge : 100% former gold mine soil), Treatment B (20 % IPAM sludge : 80% former gold mine soil), Treatment C (40 % IPAM sludge : 60% former gold mine soil), Treatment D (60 % IPAM sludge : 40% former gold mine soil) and Treatment E (80 % IPAM sludge : 20% former gold mine soil). The results showed that the combination of 60% IPAM sludge: 40% former gold mine soil media significantly affecting the growth parameters of mustard, which are: up to 397.80 cm2 leaves area growth, 35.12 g wet mass and 0.42 g dry mass
Tekanan Darah Penumpang Laki-Laki yang Terpapar Suara Mesin Kapal Klotok Jalur Pontianak Teluk Batang
Klotok ship is one of transportation that was used in West Kalimantan. The engine sound from the ship has negative impact on passengers health. The purpose of this research is to find out correlation between noise in klotok ship and blood pressure of male passengers. The research used interview with 90 respondents noise measure in ship and blood pressure passengers. The research analysed age of passengers, frequency of using the ship, smoking habits, hipertension, and types of jobs. The current research used regression analysis to measure intensity of the engine sound of ship and blood preassure. The approximate intensity of engine sound was 93,49 dBA. The intensity of engine sound was the main factor of blood prassure passenger increase. Based on the analysis of Y= 152,20+0,001X and Y=94,73+0.0001X, it showed that there was significant correlation between engine sound of klotok ship systolic and diastolic blood pressure of male passengers

Avicennia marina and Avicennia alba are mangrove plants in mangrove forests of west Kalimantan. Mangrove forests can be economically exploited for exsample, pulp and paper raw materials. The porpose of this study was to determine the fiber dimensions of A.marina and A. alba plants. This study was conducted from November 2012 to January 2013. This study used Schimds maceration metod. The result of the measurement showed that the legths of A.marina and A. albas fiber rod were medium-sized fibers. The range of A. marina was 1185,94 m-1244,64 m and the range of A. alba was between 1130,74 m-1345,48 m. The thickness of A. marinas stem wall ranged from 2,86 m-2,97 m and A.alba ranged from 3,00 m-3,05 m and they were classfied as thin walls. The lumen diamater of A. marina stem ranged from 7,32 m- 8,00 m and A. alba varied from 8,95 m-9,42 m fiber. The fibers of both stems of A. marina and A. alba were relatively narrow lumen diameters. Based on the resuls of the fiber dimension measurement from A. marina, it can be used as a raw material of paper and A. alba can be used as a low quality building material
Keragaman Jenis Ikan Arus Deras di Aliran Riam Banangar Kabupaten Landak
Aquatic ecosystem of high stream water has particular characteristics of the fish with certain adaptation pattern. This study aims to determine species of fish, their level of diversity and condition of environmental factors in the stream of Banangar waterfall. This research was conducted for 2 months from June to July 2014 using purposive random sampling.The research found 21 species from 9 families withhighest fish abundance was at location 2 and the lowest one at station 3.Fishes from family Cyprinidea were frequently found which consisted of Lobocheilos bo (FR = 10.35%) and Hampalabimaculata (FR = 6.90%). The highest index of species diversity at station 1 (0.741) and the lowest index at station 3 (0.537). The highest of dominance index was at station 3 (0.291) and lowest was at station 2 (0.221). The highest of evenness index was at station 1 (0.337) and lowest was at location 2 (0.233). Enviromental condition in the stream flow of Banangar waterfall support fish with temperature ranges 27-28 0 C, speed water flow 0.56-1.42 m/s, pH in the range 7-9, Dissolved oxygen in the range of 5-6 ppm, and CO2at 6 ppm
Uji Antagonis Pyricularia grisea Sacc. Penyebab Blas pada Tanaman Padi menggunakan Jamur Rizosfer Isolat Lokal
Blas caused by Pyricularia grisea Sacc. is one of disease on rice (Oryza sativa L.). The disease is controlled using bio-control agents which are antagonist to pathogenic fungi. The objective of this research was identify the fungi from rizosfer on rice and to the test their ability to suppress the growth of Pyricularia grisea Sacc. The research was carried out for July to September 2012 in the rice field in Kalimue Village, Keranji Paidang Village, Sengah Temila Sub-district, Landak Regency. Isolating Pyricularia grisea Sacc. was conducted based on direct plantation method. Dilution method and antagonism test using paired method are used to isolate rizosfer fungi. Antagonistic fungi like Aspergillus flavus, Aspergillus fumigatus, Aspergillus niger, Curvularia sp., and Trichoderma harzianum were successfully isolated. The result showed the growth of Pyricularia grisea Sacc. was inhibited. The highest suppression shown by Trichoderma harzianum isolation was 88.63%
Struktur Anatomi Batang Tiga Jenis Rotan Genus Calamus dari Kawasan Tembawang Kabupaten Kubu Raya
Rattan?s stem, is used to make furniture and ropes. The strenght of rattan is stem classified according to vessel arrangement an dimensional fibre. The purpose of the research was to investigate anatomical structure of three types of rattan stem, namely worm rattan (Calamus asperimus Bl), sega rattan (Calamus caesius Bl), and semambu rattan (Calamus scipionum L). The research was conducted by using embedding and maceration method. According to transversal from these three types of rattan showed peripheral and central corpus area. Cortex belongs to type A that is jigsaw puzzle like with characteristics large cells, irregular inform with numerous large intercellular spaces. Vascular tissue has colateral type which consists of xylem and floem surrounded by fibers. Protoxylem of C. asperimus and C. caesius contain 1-6 cells and C. scipionum has 2-10 cells with loose arrangement. Metaxylem has round shape and has one composition in the centre of vessel. The mean of metaxylem diameter from each species (C. asperimus, C. caesius and C. scipionum) was 130,4 m, 194,0 m and 300,5 m respectively. Floem consists of two areas which contain 3-4 cells and has sequential structure. Dimensional fibre has various value depend on early cell development, stem position and age ste
