Keragaman Limnofitoplankton Di Danau Lait Kecamatan Tayan Hilir Kabupaten Sanggau
The Lait lake is a lake that serves as a source of water, a place for fishing, a transportation route and a recreational spot that will affect the existing limnophytoplankton. This research aims to determine the composition, abundance and diversity of limnophytoplankton, as well as the physical-chemical conditions of the limnophytoplankton habitat in the Lait Lake. The study was conducted from August to December 2014. The sampling location was divided into six stations. The results of the research found 51 genera of limnophytoplankton that were included in five divisions (Chrysophyta, Chlorophyta, Cyanophyta, Euglenophyta and Phyrrophyta) and 6 classes (Bacillariophyceae, Chrysophyceae, Chlorophyceae, Cyanophyceae, Euglenophyceae, and Dinophyceae). The diversity index value (H’) of the limnophytoplankton in the Lake was included in the category of medium (1.2498-2.1353), and the dominance index (D) was low (0.1866-0.4601) and the evenness index (E) was medium (0.3804-0.6161). The physical-chemical condition of the body of water of the Lait Lake was still capable of supporting the life of the existing limnophytoplankton
Struktur Anatomi Batang Langsat (Lansium domesticum Corr.) yang Terserang Penyakit Kanker Batang
Stem canker is a plants disease caused by infection of Phytophtora palmivora fungi on stems, branches, and twigs of plants. This canker disease can decrease the fruits productivity of langsat (Lansium domesticum). This research was aimed to observe the stem anatomical structure of langsat plants on seedling, sapling, pole, and tree level which are infected by stem canker disease. This research have been done at May until September 2014. Paraffin method was used to make cross section sample preparation of the langsat stem. The result of this research shows that there are differences on stem anatomical structure between normal langsat plants and infected plants. The results of anatomical observation showed that the tree with stem canker at every growth level had thicker dermal tissue, thicker cortex with irregular shape, thinner phloem layer, and bigger xilem cell’s pores with no shapes change. Dermal tissue at tree level got 3,1 times thicker than any other growth level of the plants
Jamur Mikoriza Vesikular Arbuskular (MVA) pada Perakaran Tanaman Bawang Mekah (Eleutherine americana Merr.)
Arbuscular vesicular mycorhizae (AVM) is a fungus that has mutualistic symbiosis with plant roots. Arbuscular vesicular mycorhizae (AVM) has ability to boost plant growth but information regarding this types of fungi at Mecca onion (Eleutherine americana) is still unknown. This study aims to determine the type of arbuscular vesicular mycorhizae (AVM) and level of infection at rooting of Mecca onion (E. americana). This research was conducted in Laboratory of Microbiology, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, University of Tanjungpura from July 2014 to September 2014. The analysis of soil samplewas conducted at the Laboratory of Chemistry and Soil Fertility, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Tanjungpura. Isolation of soil samples employed two techniques, wet filter chamber and centrifugation. The study found that as many as 277 arbuscular vesicular mycorhizae (AVM) spores derived from genus Glomus(9 types), Acaulospora (3 types) and Paraglomus (1 type). The observation of root preparation indicated that structure of arbuscular vesicular mycorhizae (AVM) contained spores and hyphae with the percentage of root infection was 12,5%, and it is classified into low category
Pertumbuhan Tanaman Kacang Tanah (Arachis hypogaea L.) pada Tanah Gambut yang Diaplikasikan dengan Bokashi Jerami dan Pupuk Petrhikaphos
The low fertility and high soil acidity make the peat soils require processing before being used as a medium for plant growth. Peat soil improvement efforts need to be done on an ongoing basis. This study aims to determine the effect and the optimal dose on the using of bokashi straw and petrhikaphos fertilizer on the peanut plant growth (Arachis hypogaea). This study used Factorial Completely Randomized Design (FCRD) with 2 factors namely petrhikaphos fertilizer (A) and bokashi straw (B). Each factor consists of 4 levels, they are: control, 5g; 15g and 25g for petrhikaphos fertilizer and control, 18,75g; 37,5g and 56,25gfor bokashi straw fertilizer. The findings of the research showed that the using of bokashi fertilizer up to 56,25g dosage /plant has not been able to give a noticeable effect on the growth and yield of peanut crop production. Based on those four-dose treatments which were given, the dose of 25g /kg of seed showed the best result for the parameter root dry weight, number of pods, seeds, seed weight, number of nodules and the total number of effective root nodules. There were no interactions between bokashi and petrhikaphos fertilizer on to all observations A. hypogaea growth
Daya Tolak Ekstrak Metanol Daun Kesum (Polygonum minus Huds.) Terhadap Lalat Rumah (Musca domestica L.)
One of the ways of controlling the housefly (Musca domestica L.) is by using botanical insecticide that is capable of repelling M. domestica i.e. using the kesum leaf (Polygonum minus Huds.). This research aimed to determine the lowest concentration of methanol extract of P. minus that had a repellent effect, as well as to determine the effectiveness of the extract in causing knockdown and its first knockdown period on M. domestica. The research was conducted from January to February 2014 at the Laboratory of Zoology, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences and the Laboratory of Forest Products Technology, Faculty of Forestry, Tanjungpura University. This research uses a Randomized Group Design (RGD) in which there were 6 treatments of electric mats with active ingredient of methanol extract of P. minus with concentrations of 5%, 10%, 15%, 20% and 25% respectively, as well as alcohol of 50% as a solvent control, which was repeated 3 times. The test results indicated that the methanol extract of P. minus had a repellent effect and knockdown against M. domestica, where the concentration of the methanol extract of P. minus at 10% offered the highest repellent effect by 61.67% which fell into the moderate category and concentration of the extract at 25% was more effective in causing knockdown against M. domestica by 75% where the first knockdown period occurred in the 40th minute
Kelimpahan Limnodrilus sp. pada Perairan Kanal di Kecamatan Pontianak Timur
The canals for the people in Subdistrict of East Pontianak was instrumental to the activity of the residents generally live in the area around the canals flow. Increased development and trading activities made the canals are particularly susceptible to contamination. The purpose of this research is to know the abundance of Limnodrilus sp., as well as canals water quality in terms of abundance Limnodrilus sp. Sampling is done on three canals based on differences in hue the environment around a canal, like in the Village of Tanjung Hulu, Saigon and Dalam Bugis. Based on the result, the abundance of Limnodrilus sp. ranged from 133,33 ind./m2 - 5200 ind./m2. The highest abundances Limnodrilus sp. was found in a canal at the Village of Saigon with a value of 5200 ind./m2. The abundance of Limnodrilus sp. in Subdistrict of East Pontianak include into overflow categories
Kelimpahan dan Sebaran Horisontal Fitoplankton di Perairan Muara Sungai Kakap Kabupaten Kubu Raya
Phytoplankton plays an important role in aquatic ecosystem as a primary producer. This study aims to determine the genera, abundance and horizontal distribution of phytoplankton and to measure the physical and chemical characteristics in the estuary of Kakap River. The study was carried out between December 2013 and May 2014. Phytoplankton samples were taken from five stasions that were determined based on the differences in the environmental conditions by Adaptive Cluster Sampling Method. The samples of phytoplankton were taken when the river water was in a tidal conditions by plankton net. The composition of phytoplankton found in estuary of Kakap River composed of 7 divisions, 7 classes and 42 genera. The highest phytoplankton abundance found at high tides were 42,825 ind/L and 35,769 ind/L respectively. The highest abundance phytoplankton was found from Bacillariophyceae (43,329 ind/L). Horizontal distribution of phytoplankton showed that the further away from the area of river basin, more abundance and more diverse of phytoplankton. Based on the value of Diversity Index (H’) (3.006 - 3.3489), Dominance Index (D) (0.0473 – 0.0613) and Evennes Index (E) (0.7118 – 0.8548), the estuary of Kakap River was in stable condition with high diversity. Karakteristik Bakteri Pelarut Fosfat pada Tingkat Kematangan Gambut di Kawasan Hutan Lindung Gunung Ambawang Kabupaten Kubu Raya
Bacterial phosphate solvent is bacteria that have role in enrichment of soil. Origin material and formation ofpeat soil have correlation with the maturity and the level of fertility of peat soil. The recent research aimed to find out genus and density of bacterial phosphate solvent at the level of maturity of different peat soil in protected forest areas of Ambawang Mountain in District of Teluk Pakedai, Kubu Raya Regency. The isolation of bacterial was conducted by using the media of pikovskaya and pour plate method, whereas bacterial density calculation was done by total plate count method. The research finding showed that there were five genera of bacterial phosphate solvent, namely; Acinetobacter, Chromobacterium, Flavobacterium, Micrococcus, and Stapylococcus. Kepadatan Spora Jamur Mikoriza Vesikular Arbuskular Pada Tiga Tingkat Kematangan Gambut Di Kawasan Hutan Lindung Gunung Ambawang Kabupaten Kubu Raya
The mycorrhiza is a microorganism which is symbiotic with plant roots, in which it helps plants to absorb nutrients. The mycorrhiza had no effect on fertile soil, but plays an active role in the less fertile soil, one of which is peat soil. Based on its level of ripening, peat soil can be divided into three categories, i.e. sapric, hemic and fibric. This research was conducted to find out the types of spores of vesicular arbuscular mycorrhiza (VAM) and the density of VAM spores at three levels of peat ripening in the area of Gunung Ambawang protected forest in Kubu Raya Regency. This research was conducted for six months from November 2014 to April 2015 in the Laboratory of Microbiology, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences of Tanjungpura University. The soil sample was taken in the area of Gunung Ambawang protected forest and the analysis of soil chemical content was carried out in the Laboratory of Chemistry and SoilFertility, Faculty of Agriculture of Tanjungpura University. The isolation of spores was done through a combined method of wet-sieving technique and centrifugation technique. The results indicated that the spores found consisted of 6 genera i.e. Acaulospora, Archaeospora, Gigaspora, Glomus, Paraglomus andSclerocystis. The spore density was the highest in sapric peat with 558 spores, medium density in hemic peat with 514 spores, and the lowest density in fibric peat with 393 spores
Produktivitas Primer Danau Lait Kecamatan Tayan Hilir Ditinjau dari Kelimpahan dan Kandungan Klorofil-a Fitoplankton
The phytoplankton is one of the producers on waters that have capability of photosynthesis and can be used to determine the level of the primary productivity on waters. This research aims to determine the primary productivity and the fertility level of the Lait Lake based on the abundance and content of phytoplankton chlorophyll-a. In this research, the method used was purposive sampling and the data analysis used was Pearson correlation. The results of the research found 48 genera of phytoplankton comprises 33 genera of Chlorophyta, 8 genera of Chrysophyta, 3 genera of Euglenophyta, 3 genera of Cyanophyta, and 1 genera of Phyrrophyta. The Phytoplankton of the Chrysophyta division has the highest abundance (1957.44 ind / L), but the quantity of genera found was fewer. The abundance of phytoplankton on waters Lait Lake ranged from 998.40 to 6609.29 ind/L with chlorophyll-a ranged from 0.05 to 0.20 mg/m3, and therefore the Lait Lake categorized as water with low fertility level (oligotrophic)
