Jenis-Jenis Jamur Pada Saluran Pencernaan Ayam Kampung (Gallus domesticus Linn.)
Free-range chicken digestion tract (Gallus domesticus Linn.) is one of the survival and the growth of microbes such as fungi, both the beneficial fungi and adverse. The purpose of this study was to determine the types of fungi in the digestive tract of free-range chicken (G. domesticus Linn.). The study was conducted in November 2014 until April 2015 in the Laboratory of Microbiology, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, University of Tangjungpura, Pontianak. The isolation of fungi used direct planting method and the identification of fungi based on macro-and micro- morphological characteristics. The results of the study found 13 species of fungi in the free-range chicken digestion tract (G. domesticus Linn.) which taken in oneof the traditional market Pontianak city. Fungi which succefully identified were members of the species Acremonium sp. UH 25, Aspergillus sp. 1 UH 21, A. niger EMP1 U2, A. niger UB1, A. clavatus UH 21, A. nidulans UH 22, Aspergillus sp. 2 UH 24, A. flavus UH 26, A. flavus UB, Penicillium sp. 1UH2 U2, Penicillium sp. 2EMP U2 and also found two types of fungi which were unidentified, sp. 1 UB1 U2 and sp. 2 UB2. The digestion tract section that most commonly found fungi is intestinum tenue with the total 7 typesof fungi
Kajian Etnobotani Tumbuhan yang Digunakan Sebagai Pewarna Alami Oleh Suku Dayak Iban Di Desa Mensiau Kabupaten Kapuas Hulu
Iban tribe is one of Dayak sub tribe spread in Borneo island, incluring West Borneo. Who utilize plenty of plants in their daily life. People of Dayak Iban tribe in Mensiau Village oftently utilize plants as natural dyes for strings that are to be used to make weaves of tradisional clothes, and also as natural dyes for foods. The of research was to cognize the species of plants used as natural dyes and now they are processed. This research was conducted in April to Juni 2014. The method of respondents selection used in this research was snowball method. The result showed that there are 5 species of plants used as natural dyes for strings and clothings, which are Morinda citrifolia, Psychoteria sp, Marsdenia tinctoria, Beting and Jangau. There are also 2 species of plants used as natural dyes for foods, which are Curcuma domestica and Pandanus sp
Kemampuan Isolat Bakteri Selulolitik Asal Tanah Gambut Sebagai Pendegradasi Limbah Kulit Buah Jagung (Zea mays. L)
The aim of this research was to cognize capability of cellulolytic bacteria isolated from peat soil in degradation cornhusk waste. The research was conducted from March to April 2014. The celluloytic bacteria used in this research were Acetobacter (Ab), Acidomonas (Ad), and Cellvibrio (Cv). This research utilized Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consist of 5 treatments, which were treatment A (control), B {2g of cornhusk with 10% bacterial liquid culture (2.6ml Cv and 2.6ml Ad) added}, C {2g of cornhusk with 10% bacterial liquid culture (2.6ml Ad and 2.6ml Ab) added}, D {2g of cornhusk with 10% bacterial liquid culture (2.6ml Cv and 2.6ml Ab) added}, and E {2g of cornhusk with 10% bacterial liquid culture (1.8ml Cv, 1.8ml Ab, and 1.8ml Ad) added}. The combination of Cellvibrio, Acidomonas, and Acetobacter bacteria on each treatment were capable of decomposing the cornhusk waste with decrease in the substrateweight about 19,3-21,63%, with 2.452-2,965% protein contents, 1.254-1.864% fat contents, and 3.176-4.543% carbohydrate contents. The combination of Cellvibrio and Acetobacter bacteria were faster than the other combinations in decomposing the corn husk waste measured by substrate decomposition rate valuewhich was 3.090% in 7 days
Tumbuhan Berpotensi Bahan Pangan di Desa Sebangun Kecamatan Sebawi Kabupaten Sambas
Sebangun village, Sebawi Sub-district, Sambas Regency whose residents are all ethnic Malays have a diversity of potential-food plant. Ethnic Malays in Sambas have a culture of utilizing plants for fulfilling their food needs, for example “merandau”. Ethnobotanical studies needs to be conducted to explore the plant that serve as potential food in the village. This research aims to identify the types of potential-food plant in Sebangun village; part that are used; utilization categories; and method of preparation, as well as to determine thr citation frequency value and the informant agreement ratio (IAR). The research used were purposive sample and semi-structured interviews. Quantitative analysis in the study was conducted for the citation frequency, the informant agreement ratio (IAR) and the percentage of the habits and parts of potential-food plant. Thirty three species of potential-food plant categorized into twenty four familis were found in this research. The fruit was the most widely utilized as food. The plant mostly used as potential food fell into the category og utilization as vegetables, i.e. fifteen species of them. The highest value of the citation frequency in this research reached 100%. The category of utilization as vegetables received the highest informan agreement ratio (IAR), i.e. 0.930
Karakterisasi dan Kepadatan Bakteri Nitrifikasi pada Tingkat Kematangan Tanah Gambut yang Berbeda Di Kawasan Hutan Lindung Gunung Ambawang Kabupaten Kubu Raya
Nitrifying bacteria has an important role in oxidizing ammoniac to be nitrit which is required by plants. The purpose of this study is to investigate character and density of nitrifying bacteria at maturity level of peat soil. The sampel was taken at wildlife sanctuary of Ambawang mountain Kubu Raya district. The proses of isolation was conducted by pour plate method that applying spesific media of nitrification and total plate account was used to calculate the density of bacteria. Observation and identification was implemented macroscopically, microscopically and biochemically. The finding indicated that 5 genus of nitrifying bacteria had different level of maturity in peat soil. Nitrosomonas, Nitrobacter and Nitrosococcus were some types ofbacteria that were pound in fibrik meanwhile in hemik, Nitrobacter and Nitrosocystis were identified. In addition, in saprik, Nitrobacter, Nitrospina and Nitrosococcus were discovered. The total density of nitrifying bacteria colonies in maturity level of peat soil in fibrik, hemik and saprik was 160 x 105 CFU/g, 107,5 x 105 CFU/g, and 19 x 105 CFU/g
Pertumbuhan Bayam Kuning (Amaranthus blitum) dengan Pemberian Pupuk Organik Cair Tumbuhan Paku Acrostichum aureum, Nephrolepis biserrata, dan Stenochlaena palustris
The amaranth (Amaranthus blitum) is a type of commonly cultivated spinach. The use of inorganic fertilizer for growing spinach needs to be reduced by using organicfertilizer for sustainable culture. The plant species which are abundant and potential to be used as the material for organic fertilizer are thefern weeds. The purpose of this research to determine the content of nutrient of the Organic Liquid Fertilizer (LOF) from ferns Acrosticum aureum, Nephrolepis biserrata, and Stenochaena palustris, as well as its effects on the growth of the amaranth. This research used a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 6 degrees of treatment. The analysis showed the value of As <0.010, Hg <0.004, Pb <0.040, Cd <0.020, Sn 0.010, C-Org 0.29 %, N 0.04 %, P 0.008 %, K 0.1%, Fe 18.09 ppm, Mn 6.98 ppm, Cu 0.53 ppm, Ca 49.34 ppm, Mg 169 ppm, S 28.03 ppm, and Zn 1.24 ppm. The ANOVA results showed that the LOF from ferns had significant effect on the plant height (F5.24 = 2.934, p = 0.033), number of leaves (F5.24 = 4.797, p = 0.04), number of lateral buds (F5.24 = 10.585, p = 0.0001),leaf breadth (F5.24 = 3.695, p = 0.013), and weight of wet root (F5.24 = 4.109, p = 0.008). The concentration of 75 ml/L had the highest effect on the parameters of the plant height and number of leaves. The concentration of 60 ml/L had the highest effect on the parameters of lateral buds and weight of wet roots. The concentration of 15 ml/L had the highest effect on the parameter of leaf breadth
Respon Pertumbuhan Anggrek Hitam (Coelogyne pandurata Lindl.) Secara In-Vitro dengan Penambahan Ekstrak Taoge Dan Benzyl Amino Purine (BAP)
Black orchid (Coelogyne pandurata Lindl.) is the one type of orchid that spread to Sumatera and Kalimantan. This species of orchid is sought-after because of its potentially high economic value, so it has often been excessively exploited but not widely cultivated. This research aimed to reveal the influence ofthe extracts of bean sprout and benzyl amino purine (BAP) for the growth of the black orchid (C. pandurata). The research was conducted from May to December 2014 at the Laboratory of Tissue Culture, Department of Biologyand the Aloe Vera Center Pontianak. The experimental design used was the completely randomized design (CRD) with 2 treatment level. The first level was extract of bean sprout (0%; 5%; 7.5%; 10%) and second level BAP (0 ppm; 5 ppm; 7.5 ppm; 10 ppm). The results of the research revealed that the shoots appeared the fastest at the combined treatment of 10% bean sprout extract and 10ppm BAP, i.e. 5.38 days. The number of shoots appearred most at the treatment of 10% bean sprout extract and 10 ppm BAP with shoots appearing at an average of 3.79 ppm. The addition of 5% bean sprout extract resulted in the highest average number of leaves i.e. 3.77
Kajian Pemanfaatan Buah Edibel Suku Dayak Banyadu Di Hutan Tembawang Desa Setia Jaya Kecamatan Teriak Kabupaten Bengkayang
Dayak Banyadu tribe were people who live in Setia Jaya Village, sub-district of Teriak in Bengkayang Regency. Dayak Banyadu settlements in Bengkayang Regency scattered in several places, one of them was in forest area of Tembawang, Setia Jaya Vllage, Sub-district of Teriak. Setia Jaya Village communities stillused forest plant fruits that can be consumed to meet their needs of fruits. The study aimed to determine the type, use and processing of edibel by Dayak Banyadu tribe community in Setia Jaya Village, sub-distric of Teriak, Bengkayang Regency. This study was conducted over three months from May to August 2014. In collecting data, survey method and semi-structured interviews were applied and the data were presented descriptively. To recruit respondents, purposive sampling method was applied and 15 people were willing to involve. The result showed that 25 species of edibel belonging to 15 families consumed by villages of Setia Jaya. The most widely consumed fruit comes from the family of Moraceae by 5 species and 25 species of fruit, particularly their pulp were the most widely consumed. Kemampuan Ekstrak Daun Sembung Rambat (Mikania micrantha H.B.K) Sebagai Bioherbisida Gulma Melastoma affine D.Don
Bittervine (Mikania micrantha) is a kind of weed containing allelochemical compounds which can supressgrowth of plants nearby, so that Bittervine can potentially be used as bioherbicide. This research aims to testthe potentiality and effective concentration of M. micrantha leaves extract in inhibiting seeds germination and supressing growth of Blue tongue (Melastoma affine) weeds. This research was conducted at Biology Laboratory, Chemistry Laboratory and Green house facility of Math and Science Faculty of Tanjungpura University from May to September 2014. Completely Randomized Design was used in this research with extract concentration at 0 (g/ml), 0,17 (g/ml), 0,43 (g/ml), 0,82 (g/ml) and 1,5 (g/ml), each with three duplications. The result shows that the leaves extract of M. micrantha can inhibit seeds germination and supress the growth of M. affine weeds. The extract effective concentration that can lower the germinationpercentage and sprout length of M. affine was at 0,43 (g/ml). The extract effective concentration that can supress the growth of M.affine encompassing plant height, wet weight and dry weight was at 0,17 (g/ml)
Studi Etnobotani Tumbuhan Obat Pada Masyarakat Dayak Salako Desa Sebunga Sajingan Besar Kalimantan Barat
Research on the study of etnobotany of medical plants in the society of Dayak salako of Sebunga village Sajingan Besar had been conducted from July to August,2014. Dayak Salako tribe is on of the Dayak substribe who live in the area of Sajingan Besar of West Borneo who still use plants from forest and yars as tradisional medicines. The purposes of this research are to identify the variety of medical plants, to find out what part of the plants usually used as tradisional medicine and also to know the procedure of making tradisional medicine. Method of this research is purposive sampling which is to determine the location of the study. Research finding shows that there are 29 varieties and 22 families were identified. The family of Zingiberaceae, Euphorbiaceae and Poaceae are the mostly use as medical plants. Leaf is the part of medical plant mostyl used as medicine
