    Diversity of fish species is important  known to determinate river. The purpose of this study was to determine the diversity and distribution of fish also environmental conditions in the lower reaches of the Sekadau River, West Kalimantan. Data collection is conducted from March to May 2018 using posat and gill net. The results showed that the most common Cyprinidae family was found in Rasbora argyrotaenia  and Osteochilus microcephalus with dominance value  0.72 and 0.70 respectively

    Gastropods are an invertebrata which has an important role as an indicator quality mangrove forest. The presence of Gastropods in Sepok Keladi mangrove forest was decreasing due the habitat degradation and it impact on the Gastropods community. The purpose of this research is to determine the diversity of Gastropod species in mangrove forest Sepok Keladi Island Kakap River District Kubu Raya Regency. This study uses purposive random sampling method at six different stations with two 5x5m2 size plots in each station and four replication. The study found four families of Gastropods, i.e. Ellobidae, Littorinidae, Neritidae and Potamidiidae. Epifauna Gastropods found nine species and are five of them are treefauna. The most species foundy Cerethidae obtusa from Potamididae family

    This inventory needs to be carried out to determine the types of macroscopic fungi that are found in the Peat Swamp Habitat of the Cabang Panti Gunung Palung National Park. Taking mushroom samples using the Purposive sampling method and roaming method by tracing the path. Identification is carried out based on macroscopic characters. Based on the results of the inventory at the Cabang Panti of Gunung Palung National Park, there were 3 macroscopic fungi from the Order of Agaricales, Auriculariales and Polyporales which which has three species including Auricularia auricula, auricularia delicata, Lichenomphalia sp. and Microporus xanthopus

    White jabon (Anthocephalus cadamba (Roxb.) Miq) are plants with high economic value. It can be propagated vegetatively using its shoot cuttings. One of the way to enhance the growth of shoot cuttings by submersion in green bean sprout extract was expected to produce shoot cuttings with better growth. This study aimed to determine the submersion effect of white jabon (A. cadamba) shoot cuttings in green bean (Vigna sinensis) sprout extract. The Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisted of 5 levels of treatment were used. The cuttings were submerged in extract concentrations of 0%, 25%, 50%, 75%, and 100%. The study parameters of number of roots and leaves, plant height, wet and dry weight were observed. The results showed that the concentration treatment with 75% green bean sprout extract produced 9,25±2,50 root strands, 5,75±0,50 leaves, plant height of 20,13±1,11 cm, wet weight of 12,39±3,62 g, and dry weight of 1,51±0,42 g

    Bacteria belongs to the genus of Staphylococcus is pathogenic bacteria and its existence is an indicator of contaminated environment particularly in the air. The aim of this study is to detect the existence of bacteria belongs to Staphylococcus in the traditional market space of Pontianak city. The study was conducted in January - March 2018. Sampling was administered in 4 traditional markets of Pontianak City using volumetric air sampling along with a vacuum air pump YYP 550-12A1 with an air flow rate of 26 l / min for 6 minutes using Mannitol Salt Agar (MSA). The results showed that air bacteria member of the genus Staphylococcus found in all traditional markets in the city of Pontianak. The lowest number of bacteria belongs to the lowest Staphylococcus genus in the Flamboyan Market was 15 CFU/m3 and the highest was in Pasar Mawar 89 CFU/m3. The data indicates the air in the traditional market of Pontianak City has not fully fulfill the air health standards according to Sedyaningsih (2011), which is free of pathogenic bacteria 0 CFU/m3

    Carbon stock is carbon content strored either on the ground surface serving as plant biomass or in the ground functioning as soil organic matter. One of the area which can potentially absorb a large amount of carbon is traditional rubber agroforestry. This research aims at identifying biomass an carbon stock stored in the research site. The research was conducted for three mounths, starting from March to July 2017 in Nanga Pemubuh village. The identification of plant types was carried out in the biology lab of Mathematic and Natural Science Faculty, Tanjungpura University. To measure biomass and carbon stock, the research employed a transect method on tree stands with diameters more than 25 cm. Results revealed that the rate of density obtained in this research was about 6.5-46 trees/ha. After that, the biomass gathered was about 42.79 - 222.43 ton/ha and the stock ranged around 21.39 - 111.22 ton/ha

    Lemna minor and Hydrilla verticillata are types of water plants that have the potential to have the ability to process and improve the quality of polluted water. The purpose of this study is to determine the ability of Lemna minor and Hydrilla verticillata in improving the quality of laundry wastewater. The study used a completely randomized design (CRD) method with six treatments and three replications. The study was carried out on test media in the form of 5 liters of laundry wastewater with L. minor (L) 100 g, H. verticillata (H) 100 g, and combination treatment of both plants (L1H1, L1H2, L2H1) in weight L1H1 (50 g : 50 g), L1H2 (33 g : 67 g) and L2H1 (67 g : 33 g) for 14 days after acclimation for one week. The combination of L. minor and H. verticillata with a ratio of 1: 2 was able to reduce the highest Total Suspended Solid (TSS) and Total Dissolved Solid (TDS) of laundry wastewater with a decrease of 52.87% and 4.02% and increase dissolved oxygen (DO) of 7.13 mg/L. The highest decrease in chlorine occurred in L. minor and H. verticillata treatments with a ratio of 1:1 of 0.110 mg/L. All treatments of L. minor and H. verticillata both singly and in combination have not been able to reduce the phosphate content in laundry wastewater on day 14 of treatment

    Bingke berendam cake is one of the traditional foods of Pontianak which is made from rice flour, eggs, sugar and coconut milk. Materials that are used such as sugar, milk and eggs are ingredients that are easily damaged and polluted by microbes. This study aimed to to find out the Most Probable Number (MPN) of coliform bacteria in bingke cakes. Taking bingke cake samples was done at five bingke cake shops in Pontianak city. Isolation of Coliform bacteria used the MPN method, with two stages, namely the estimator test tand the assertive test. Based on the results of this study, the five samples had MPN values ranging from 23 MPN/g to> 100 MPN/g. All samples had MPN values that exceed the threshold so that they did not meet the requirements for PERKA BPOM No. 16 of 2016, which is a 11 MPN/g

    Dayak Kanayatn ethnic group in Sebatih village has used plants as ingredient in food inheridited by their ancestors. The study investigated types & parts of plants used as natural flavour. This research was counducted from December 2016 to February 2017 in Sengah Temila using purposive sampling & snow ball. Date ware collected & analysed & the results indicated that ther are 19 species of 14 families used as natural flavour. Ther are 14 species with high freqency of sitasi by 100%, namely: Allium sativum L., Allium cepa L., Phaeomeria speciosa KOORD. & Gnetum gnemon. Besides, ther are 19 species of 14 families used as natural flavour from fruits, flowers, leaves, tubers, steams & seeds
