KEKUATAN TARIK SERAT IJUK (ARENGA PINNATA MERR)
Serat ijuk merupakan serat alami yang ketersediaannya berlimpah, tetapi belum dimanfaatkan secara optimal. Serat ijuk dapat digunakan sebagai penguat alternatif untuk bahan komposit. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kekuatan tarik dan morphologi serat ijuk melalui hasil pengamatan photo Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM).Pengekstrakan serat ijuk dilakukan dengan menggunakan sisir kawat yang berfungsi untuk memisahkan serat ijuk dengan pelepahnya. Dalam penelitian ini, serat ijuk yang dipilih yaitu berdiameter 0.25- 0.35mm, 0.36-0.45mm, dan 0.46-0.55 mm. Selanjutnya dilakukan perendaman C selama 15 menit. Setelah itu dila kukan pengujian tarik dengan standar ASTM D 3379-75.Hasil dari penelitian didapatkan bahwa semakin kecil diameter serat, maka kekuatan tariknya semakin tinggi. Kekuatan tarik terbesar pada kelompok serat ijuk berdiameter kecil (0.25-0.35 mm) adalah sebesar 208.22 MPa, regangan 0.192%, modulus elastisitas 5.37GPa dibandingkan kelompok serat ijuk dengan diameter besar (0.46-0.55 mm) sebesar 198.15 MPa, regangan 0.37%, modulus elastisitas 2.84 GPa. PEMBUATAN SISTEM OTOMASIUNTUK PENGATURAN MEKANISME KERJA MESIN CETAK KERUPUK MENGGUNAKAN MIKROKONTROLER ATMega
Developments in science and technology has increased very rapidly. One is the industrial field. At home industry (home industry) required a more sophisticated production system in order to maximize production. Engine control system working mechanism of crackers is an idea to create an automated system on a machine that makes in terms of operation. Has created a working mechanism controlling printing using Microcontroller ATMega 16 crackers. The system uses a microcontroller to control the relay drivers to switch on or switch off the AC motor. Optocoupler sensors and limit switches as an input to set the working mechanism of the machine automatically.The test results show that the driver relays are used to control the mechanism of action machine can work well. Aplikasi Rencana Pemotongan Plat Menggunakan Sistem Pakar
In each plate cutting, design is paramount in the cutting plan. Cutting plan was made to minimize costs, wages designers, reducing the lead time required to order and improve the accuracy of estimated production costs. To help address the difficulties in cutting plate, it needs to be an expert system application expertise, bringing together designers each cut plate. The system created is an expert system for plate cutting plan is done by designing a program with the cutting plate in accordance with the wishes of the user using Visual Basic programming language 6.0. Where in the making users create data base using microsoft acces then applied into Visual Basic 6.0. Kajian Analitis Sistem Pembangkit Uap Kogenerasi
Indonesia merupakan negara yang sedang berkembang di bidang industri dan memiliki tingkat pertumbuhan penduduk yang tinggi. Hal ini mengakibatkan tidak terpenuhinya permintaan akan ketersediaan energi listrik. Seperti telah diketahui bahwa pada umumnya bahan bakar dari pembangkit energi listrik tersebut merupakan sumber daya alam yang tidak dapat diperbaharui dan suatu waktu akan habis. Maka dari itu perlu dilakukan konservasi energi. Salah satu upaya menigkatkan efisiensi energi adalah penerapan sistem pembangkit uap kogenerasi. Berdasarkan hal tersebut maka perlu dilakukan penelitian untuk menganalisa peningkatan efisiensi sistem kogenerasi. Penelitian ini dimulai dari pengambilan data berupa kondisi uap untuk setiap tingkat keadaan dan kemudian menghitung efisiensi energi dari system pembangkit. Hasil dari perhitungan efisiensi energi didapat nilai faktor utilitas sistem pembangkit kogenerasi adalah sebesar 44,7 % (data pengamatan) dan 49,9 % (data spesifikasi). Kalor pemanasan produk pada sistem pembangkit tersebut adalah sebesar 9318,85 kW (data pengamatan) dan 9294,66 kW (data spesifikasi). Pada sistem pembangkit tersebut terdapat proses ekstraksi untuk pemanasan produk yang meningkatkan efisiensi pemanfaatan energi dan keuntungan biaya produksi. Pengaruh Kedalaman Alur Back Chipping Pada Pengelasan Listrik SMAW Baja Karbon Sedang AISI 1045 Terhadap Uji Kekuatan Tarik
Medium carbon steel can be assembled in various ways, one of them by welding. On the implementation of welding using SMAW welding type which is one method of welding is used widely in construction grafting techniques. In welding, there’s common defects such as imperfections of root penetration, hardened and cracked. Back chipping or welding opponent needs to be done to avoid or fix things that often occur in the root weld. SMAW welding is one method which is widely used in construction grafting techniques. This study aims to determine the different test results with the depth of groove weld seam treatment chipping back to the tensile strength test also to determine micro structure. The depth of groove seam using a variation of 2 mm, 3 mm and 4 mm, then the welding results of each treatment were divided into three tensile test specimens and one photo micro specimen. Upon completion of the test specimens and then tensile test performed and photo micro to acknlowledge changes in mechanical properties. From the testing that has been done, the result from tensile strength at back chipping welding with 3mm depth is higher than treated back chipping welding with 2mm and 4 mm depth. The largest maximum tensile strength were found in the back chipping welding groove with 3mm depth is 683.3 MPa, while the untreated back chipping weld the largest maximum tensile strength is 591.7 MPa. Electricity become one of the basic needs of industrial and human life. It is shown by the electrical peripherals and industrial machineries which consumes a lot of energy. By the increasing of human population and the electricity consumtion turbine is the most common that used to produce electricity using the renewable energy resources such as hydro, wind, sea wave which it can solve the problem of increasing electricity consumtion. renewable energy sources. This source is readily used from many creeks and rivers that has a high enough flow and water debt which easily found surround us. The purpose of this with title “Feasibility Study Micro Hydroelectric Power Station (PLTMH) Using Cross fllow Turbine at Triharjo desa Kebagusan Kecamatan Pesawaran Bandar Lampung” is to contributed in hydro turbine management and to planning a micro hydroelectric power station that can be used and applied for a better life. Based on the field data, (Head = 12 m and water debit = 0,0584m3/s) the Cross Fllow Turbine can produce energy 5,10 kW. KAJIAN EKSPERIMENTAL GAS CLEANER YANG DIMODIFIKASI UNTUK MENGEKSTRAK TAR DALAM PRODUCER GAS
Producer gas from biomass gasification consists of tar from pyrolysis process which is notdegradation thermal well before out from the reactor. In fact tar is a serious problem that must beconsidered in the process of gasification, especially for an internal combustion engineapplication.Gas cleaning system is one the methods to reduce the tarproduced in gasificationprocess. The research purpose which is to design a purify device for the producer gas which isintegrated and also to know the influence of gas speed and water debit towards tar getting asmeasurement research of IGCS. The research does by using reactor with diameter dimension 0,8 mand 1,5 m high. The result of this research getting the gas speed for the cyclone about 2,4 m/s andflow of water in venturi scrubber 3,3 l/min, collected tar is 12 gram with 66,67 % cyclone efficiencyand 10 gram with 44,44 % venturi scrubber efficiency. Meanwhile, rotary separator gas speedabout 2,6 m/s, it is able to reduce 10 gram tar with 55,56 % efficiency. ANALISIS UJI KETAHANAN LELAH BAJA KARBON SEDANG AISI 1045 DENGAN HEAT TREATMENT (QUENCHING) DENGAN MENGGUNAKAN ALAT ROTARY BENDING
Fatigue is the one of the main cause from of the material failure. The main of cause failure 90 % caused fatigue. Fatigue is material sructure process changes that is caused by repeatly load (stress or shear) in a long period of time so it occured crack or break. The reason of this research is to analyze of the fatigue strength medium carbon steel type AISI 1045 with variaton of shaft rotation on rotary bending machine. Fatigue test applied on medium carbon steel type AISI 1045 without heat treatment. This research was conducted with variation of shaft rotation 2880 rpm and continued with load variation 20%, 30%, 40%, 50% and 60 % from material UTS. Specimen that used according ASTM E466 spesimen made by lathe machine.
