The purpose of this study was to formulate a strategy for developing agropolitan areas for robusta coffee in Pupuan, research time from September to November 2020. The research method uses are observation, interviews, and questionnaires. The data analysis used in this study are SWOT and QSP matrix. The results showed that the results of IFAS and EFAS data processing, the values of x = 1.13 and y = 1.24 are obtained that they are in quadrant I (Growth), so the strategy applied is the SO strategy. Based on the QSPM calculation, the highest TAS value was 6.96. The conclusion from the research results shows that in the Pupuan sub-district there is a potential for upstream and downstream Robusta coffee agribusiness. Regional development, which is an integral part of national development, is aimed more at matters of improving the quality of society, optimal economic growth, expansion of the workforce, and improvement of people's standards of living, for the sake of prosperity. This well-being is understood more holistically, which covers both economic and psychological well-being. One strategy that can be taken is to use the empowerment model. The articulation of this concept in indigenous peoples' context, which is still widely found in Indonesia, assumes a useful model and is ready to be implemented. This study tries to answer these questions. All of which are formulated based on the experience of researcher involvement for two and a half years. It used a qualitative approach to the phenomenological model. Research participants were determined by setting specific criteria (purposive). Data obtained through a process of depth interviews, focus group discussions (FGD), and structured observations which are then processed using inductive thematic analysis after going through a process of communicative and argumentative validation. The results of this study state that the efforts to empower indigenous peoples (specifically the Mentawai people) are realized through a local kinship system (muntoghat), which is also called uma. Because of the large number of muntoghat, the empowerment effort was then followed up using a broader local kinship system called inter-uma. In this uma and inter-uma, the participants are empowered socially, and economically (socio-economic). The process is then followed up with social and juridical institutionalization, and also the development of networks, involving business people, government, academics, and other independent institutions

This study examines the effect of the realization of government spending consisting of goods expenditure, capital expenditure and employee expenditure on tax revenue in Indonesia. In this study, we use four analytical methods that consist of  Granger Test, Partial Adjustment Model (PAM), Error Correction Model (ECM) and Vector Autoregression (VAR). The result shows that the realization of goods and employee expenditure are significant determinant of the tax revenue. Further examination shows that the shocks on goods and employee expenditure havea positive impacts toward tax revenue. However the shock effects are different on those variables. On the shock to goods expenditure, the tax revenue response will occur directly, in contrast to shock on employee expenditure that requires time lag. This study also finds that between PAM and ECM, the ECM model is more appropriate to be used to explain the effect of government spending on tax revenue in Indonesia. This study examines the effect of the realization of government spending consisting of goods expenditure, capital expenditure and employee expenditure on tax revenue in Indonesia.

    No full text
The aim of this study is to investigate the causality between higher education and economic growth in Indonesia in 1980-2017. The econometric approach of this study used the Vector Auto Regressive (VAR) and Granger Causality Test. The Empirical results show evidence of unidirectional causality between higher education and economic growth in lag 1 with α of 10%. These results indicate that education as a form of investment in human resources will affect the economy. This study also shows that economic growth does not affect higher education. This unidirectional causality can be explained that the economic growth that occurs does not directly increase the overall income of the community, meaning that the positive impact of growth can only be enjoyed largely by a group of high-income people
