Application of FAHP in gold price fluctuation factor evaluation
Gold has become one of the most popular and secures type of investment in our country. However, the
price of gold shows a high level of volatility. This paper aims to explore the use of Fuzzy Analytic
Hierarchy Process (FAHP) in evaluating and ranking the Malaysian gold price fluctuation factors.
Nevertheless, there are not many researches have been done on FAHP method in gold price analysis. The
strength of FAHP method is its application in solving the problem of selecting something that is
inaccurate or uncertain. Hence, FAHP as tools of measurement have been applied to evaluate, compare,
and rank the gold price fluctuation factors. Specifically, four factors that contribute to the volatility of
gold price are determined from experts. The factors are currency exchange, demand, inflation and
mining. The evaluation of FAHP shows that the highest value of normalized weight was 0.6892 for the
currency factor. This study concludes that the most important factor that affects the gold price change is
the currency exchange
Parameter tuning for artificial Bee Colony algorihtm
Artificial Bee Colony algorithm (ABC) is one of the popular swarm intelligence that widely used in working out on intricate problems. It is the algorithm that is mainly used in this paper. It can be observed from ABC that settings of parameters can affect the performance of the algorithm. Setting
a parameter in an overly or slightly manner can lead to counter effect. There is no one universal resolution in the setting of algorithm parameter. Notwithstanding that, it is feasible to tweak the parameters with the aim of looking for the best fitting solution for a particular problem. The problem that is being focused on in this paper is 60 queen problem. The objective of this research is to study the impact of the parameters in solving N-queen problem by employing Artificial Bee Colony algorithm (ABC). This research alters the parameters in ABC and records the experimental output. Two parameters are researched, which are the swarm size and limit. To Fine-tuned parameters in
solving any problem are proposed in this paper. The findings of this research are considerable
Representation learning based deepfake detection with facial region features
As the Deepfake phenomena have become famous today, a more stabilize and versatile Generative Adversarial Network (GAN) architect was purposed every single year.
Recently, there is some state-of-art GAN architect that able to face-swap, expression-swap, voice- swap, or crafting a new face on the video by providing just a source image and a target video.
It has become a real threat for celebrities and world leaders to fear that the high-realistic Deepfake video may use as a way to defame them in one day. The goal of this study is to propose an
improved representation learning framework based Deepfake detector to allow the model to discover the representations need for feature detection automatically. In this work, it reviews the
latest GAN architect, face manipulation type, and related work of face manipulation detector. Then addressed the fact that
overfitting and less generalization happened in most of the face
manipulation detectors. Overall, the study will benefit the
Deepfake detector in generalizability and detecting the unseen
GAN generated images
Impact of IFRS Adoption and Value Relevance of Accounting Quality on Listed Firms in Nigeria
This study concentrated on evaluating the value relevance of accounting quality in Nigeria both before and after the mandatory adoption of IFRS as a reporting standard for the period of two (2) years (2011-2012) using annual reports of the whole (108) companies quoted on Nigerian stock exchange with exclusion to companies that operate in financial services sector of the market, criteria were used to arrive at the sample of 91 listed firms, Secondary data and Ordinary least Square (OLS) was engaged in analyzing the data extracted for this study, using STATA 13, Analysis was done using Pre IFRS and Post IFRS, the study discovered that value relevance of accounting quality is higher in the post-IFRS adoption period compared to that of the pre-adoption period. The study recommended that other developing nations should adopt IFRS as their financial reporting standard since it is accomplished of increasing their value relevance of accounting quality
