Covid-19: reviewing risk factors and breaking transmission
SARS-CoV-2, a member of the Betacoronavirus genera and causative agent of COVID-19 will go down in history as one of the most successful pathogens in recent times. COVID-19 was declared a pandemic on 11th of March 2020, and it is disturbing that only vaccines are available hitherto despite it being around for more than a year. Traditional virology attempts to explain events via host-pathogen interactions, yet it does not take into account of the multifarious factors that may alter odds for disease development. In line with this paucity, a literature review was performed to identify risk factors for developing severe COVID-19 from behavioural, demographical, environmental, genetic and physiological perspectives. Risk factors for disease are discussed by focusing on the receptors of SARS-CoV-2 which would be ACE2 and TMPRSS2 in addition to elaborating on multiple phenomena. An elaborate discourse is also performed to identify steps that can be taken to stymie or ideally break the chain of COVID-19 transmission in addition to discussing on what one should do after being confirmed or suspected as being COVID-19 positive

Selectivity and market timing ability of mutual fund houses in emerging countries
The paper investigates the selectivity and market timing ability of fund houses in emerging countries. The study uses comprehensive performance models on fund houses from four emerging countries. Data span is from 2007 to 2018. Findings indicate that fund managers benefit from the common facilities provided by the fund houses like market research, diversification and investment opportunity. Fund houses showed good selectivity skills but poor market timing ability. The possible reason is that fund houses manage large and different types of funds. This resulted in more complex management processes and thus reduced the ability to track the fluctuations in the market. The findings are important for investors as they are able to allocate their resources more effectively to funds that are best managed by fund houses while for managers, they are able to position themselves relative to their competing peers
Pencegahan dadah golongan berisiko menurut pendekatan psikospiritual al-Ghaz?l? (W. 505 H.)
Reactive power analysis at solar power plant
Reactive power is essential to control the power system\u27s voltage stability as the reactive power is directly proportional to the voltage. Hence, every new solar photovoltaic (PV) plant installed in the grid system must comply with the grid code requirements to ensure that the electricity supply remains stable and reliable. As the more penetration of PV plants, the electrical system will face some challenges related to reactive power control and voltage support. Thus, many countries including Malaysia have updated their grid codes to permit a smooth interaction between these new plants with the grid system. The inverter of PV solar connected to grid system are required to supply rated power output (MW) at point of common coupling (PCC) between the limits of 0.85 power factor lagging, and 0.95 leading follow to the Malaysian Grid Code (MGC) requirement. Hence, this research aims to design a controller for the PV inverter in Matlab/Simulink that able to absorb and supply the reactive power. Then, the comparison will execute between the simulation results and the MGC requirement. However, due to power loss in the system, the PV inverter controller may not comply with the reactive power capability as the MGC requirement. Thus, the PV system need to integrate with the capacitor bank as a reactive power compensator
The growing usage of Facebook and Facebook users in Dhaka city Bangladesh provides an
insightful impact on changing fast-food consumption preferences. This research focuses on
influential factors of fast-food consumption that consumers keep in mind while purchasing.
The social cognitive theory has been applied to get insightful ideas while fast food
consumption. The study findings indicate that social factors, personal factors, and service
quality factors are the three dominant factors that influence Facebook users\u27 fast-food
consumption preferences. To collect the data nonprobability sampling technique convenient
sampling was used and 300 respondents considered analyzing purposes. SPSS 20.0 software
was used to analyze the databoth descriptive and inferential statistics (reliability test,
factor analysis, ANOVA test) applied. The results found significant and supported the
proposed hypotheses of this study
