Consideration of Future Consequences Berdasarkan Pengalaman Melakukan Hubungan Seksual Pranikah pada Remaja Akhir
Abstract: The purpose of this study is to determine consideration of future consequences from their experience in sexual intercourse before marriage in late adolescences. The samples included 90 subjects which are consisted 45 subjects who had sexual intercourse before marriage and 45 subjects who did not have sexual intercourse relations before marriage. The data are collected by using Consideration of Future Consequences Scale 14, which was developed by Joireman, Shaffer, Balliet, and Strathman (2012). The results of data analysis in this study using independent sample t-test showed that there are differences in consideration of future consequences in the late adolescences in terms of their experience in premarital sexual intercourse {t (df) = -13.16 (88)}, p <0.05). It indicated that the late adolescences who had sexual intercourse before marriage have low CFC, whereas late adolescences who did not have sexual relations before marriage have higher CFC.Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui consideration of future consequences berdasarkan pengalaman melakukan hubungan seksual pranikah pada remaja akhir. Penelitian ini melibatkan 90 subjek, yaitu 45 subjek melakukan hubungan seksual pranikah dan 45 subjek yang tidak melakukan hubungan seksual pranikah. Pengumpulan data menggunakan skala Consideration of Future Consequences Scale 14, yang dikembangkan oleh Joireman, Shaffer, Balliet, dan Strathman (2012). Hasil analisis data menggunakan independent sample t-test yang menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan consideration of future consequences pada remaja akhir ditinjau dari pengalaman melakukan hubungan seksual pranikah{t (df) = -13,16 (88)}, p < 0,05). Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa remaja akhir yang melakukan hubungan seksual pranikah memiliki CFC yang rendah sedangkan remaja akhir yang tidak melakukan hubungan seksual pranikah memiliki CFC yang tinggi
Proses Pengambilan Keputusan Pembelian di Toko Daring: Peran Faktor Psikologis Persepsi Kualitas Produk dan Tingkat Kepercayaan
Abstract: As changes in purchasing behavior from conventional stores into online stores, fundamental things in consumer psychological processes such as quality perceptions and trust levels need to be reexamined. This research tries to know the contribution of product quality perception and consumer trust in shaping purchasing decision at online store. Sampling in this research was done by incidental sampling technique. Criteria subject used as a sample of research is consumers aged 18-30 years and have been making purchases in online stores at least three times. By using this technique, the subject is 485 people. The results show that product quality and consumer trust are a positive predictor of purchasing decisions at online stores. This study provides evidence that on online purchases, buyers consider almost uniformly the quality of products and online stores that sell products before making a purchase.Abstrak: Seiring berubahnya tingkah laku pembelian dari toko konvesionalmenuju toko daring, maka hal mendasar dalam proses psikologis konsumen seperti persepsi kualitas dan tingkat kepercayaan perlu dikaji ulang. Penelitian ini mencoba mengetahui kontribusi persepsi kualitas produk dan kepercayaan konsumen dalam membentuk keputusan pembelian di toko daring. Pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini dilakukan dengan teknik incidental sampling. Kriteria subjek yang dijadikan sebagai sampel penelitian adalah konsumen berusia 18 – 30 tahun dan sudah pernah melakukan pembelian di toko daring minimal tiga kali. Dengan menggunakan teknik tersebut diperoleh subjek 485 orang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kualitas produk dan kepercayaan konsumen menjadi prediktor positif terhadap keputusan pembelian pada toko daring. Penelitian ini memberikan bukti bahwa pada pembelian daring, pembeli mempertimbangkan secara hampir seimbang kualitas produk dan toko daring yang menjual produk sebelum melakukan pembelian
Persepsi Dukungan Organisasi dan Komitmen Afektif Organisasi: Peran Mediasi Keterikatan Karyawan pada Karyawan Pertelevisian
Television broadcasting company has unique working condition with various challenges and demands to keep making innovations. This research aimed to study working conditions in television broadcasting companies in Indonesia using three variables, namely affective organization commitment (AOC), employee engagement (EE), and perceived organizational support (POS). The data were obtained by using 3 measurements, i.e. Affective Organization Commitment scale, Survey of perceived organizational support (SPOS), and Aon Hewitt Employee Engagement (AHEE). The respondents consisted of 139 employees of Indonesian television broadcasting companies which were obtained from convenience sampling with the criteria of being a permanent employee, having worked at least a year, and being 23-55 years old. Statistical techniques PROCESS that was developed by Hayes were applied to test the mediation role. The result showed that all variables were positively related and EE acted as partial mediator to correlation between POS and AOC
Efektivitas Pelatihan Empati dalam Mengurangi Konflik Perkawinan pada Pasangan Suami Istri yang Berada pada Tahun Awal Pernikahan
A conflict in marriage is something that cannot be avoided but must be faced. For this reason, in an effort to reduce or resolve a conflict that occurs, a couple of husband and wife must have effective communication. It includes showing of empathy, which requires the ability of husband and wife to listen to their partners attentively and be willing to receive messages from each other. This study aimed to examine the effectiveness of empathy training to reduce conflict in married couples in their early years of marriage. Empathy training was developed based on 4 empathy techniques, namely self-empathy, accepting others, accurate listening, and perspective taking. Empathy training was conducted on 14 couples who lived in Banda Aceh and Aceh Besar. They were selected using purposive sampling technique. The study used between group/pretest-posttest control group design and the data were collected with marital conflict scale. Peran Syukur sebagai Moderator Pengaruh Perbandingan Sosial terhadap Self-esteem pada Remaja Pengguna Media Sosial
Adolescents consistently compare themselves with others they see on social media. This habit can bring up in them a sense of envy or inferiority, which then can lead to a decrease in self-esteem. Therefore, it is necessary to have aspects that can increase their confidence and optimism, including in term of spirituality, their sense of gratitude. The purpose of this study was to see the role of gratitude as moderating variable in the influence of social comparison on the self-esteem of social media adolescent users. The research was conducted using social comparison scale of Iowa-Netherlands Comparison Orientation Scale (INCOM), gratitude scale, and self-esteem state scale, which were distributed to 200 social media adolescent users in DKI Jakarta, were involved through incidental sampling. The results of data analysis showed that there was a significant role of gratitude in influencing social comparison to change these participants’ self-esteem. The sense of gratitude served to increase these adolescents’ self-esteem, which previously decreased as a result of social comparison. This study had a number of weaknesses in the use of the instruments, especially the social comparison scale. Any similar study in the future is expected to focus more on one kind of social media
“Making Generation Y Stay”: The Mediating Role of Organizational Commitment
Job turnover in Generation Y has become a common phenomenon in industry in large cities. They tend to believe that it is not difficult to leave their jobs and not important to immediately settle in an organization. The study aimed to understand the mediating role of organizational commitment (OC) between perceived organizational support (POS) and turnover intention (TO). A purposive sampling technique was used in this study with 284 generation Y employees living in large cities (19-37 years old) as participants. There were three questionnaires used in this study namely Turnover Intention Scale, Organizational Commitment Scale and Survey of Perceived Organizational Support. The investigation discovered that POS positively affected OC and negatively TO. Employing mediation analysis showed that OC was a significant mediator from the relationship of POS and TO. The findings of this research provide organizations with information about how to effectively manage and retain Generation Y employees through POS and OC
Strategi Penanganan Konflik pada Proses Penggabungan Perguruan Tinggi Swasta
Abstract: Merger of academies to be one university is a way to perform effectivity and efficiency of the foundation as the organizer of education. The process of conveying the idea will face challenges and conflicts such as opposition to the idea of merging universities. Conflict can be a functional and dysfunctional role in the organization, depending on how the organization is able to manage the conflict and use appropriate conflict management strategies. The research was conducted at one of the private universities in Bandung that has combined four academies to form the University. This research uses a qualitative approach case study. The results of this study indicate that the foundation has an important role during the merging process, the foundation selects direct leaders (Rector of the University) from external parties to facilitate the process of forming a new culture, then the Foundation manages the conflict using a compromise strategy and collaboration to all academic communities so that conflicts arise functional role and improve post-merge University performance.Abstrak: Penggabungan sekolah tinggi menjadi universitas adalah salah satu cara untuk melakukan efektifitas dan efisiensi yayasan sebagai penyelenggara pendidikan. Proses menyampaikan ide akan menghadapi tantangan dan konflik seperti oposisi terhadap gagasan menggabungkan universitas. Konflik dapat berperan fungsional dan disfungsional dalam organisasi, tergantung pada bagaimana organisasi mampu mengelola konflik dan menggunakan strategi manajemen konflik yang tepat. Penelitian ini dilakukan di salah satu universitas swasta di Bandung yang telah menggabungkan empat sekolah tinggi untuk membentuk universitas. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif case study. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa yayasan memiliki peran penting selama proses penggabungan, yayasan memilih langsung pemimpin (Rektor Universitas) dari pihak eksternal untuk memfasilitasi proses pembentukan budaya baru, kemudian Yayasan mengelola konflik menggunakan strategi kompromi dan kolaborasi untuk semua komunitas akademis sehingga konflik muncul peran fungsional dan meningkatkan kinerja universitas pasca-penggabungan
Komitmen Organisasi pada Dosen Generasi Milenial
In Human Resource Management, workers from the millennial generation, including those working as lecturers in Indonesia, are often studied with regard to their low level of organizational commitment. Millennial lecturers are often faced with various challenges that can trigger them to decide to quit their jobs and leave the college. This research aimed to discover the factors influencing millennial lecturers’ organizational commitment. The instruments used were the Organizational Commitment Scale, Job Satisfaction Survey, and Professional Commitment Scale. The respondents were 123 lecturers from 10 universities in Padang, Jakarta, and Bali, who were selected using purposive sampling technique. The analysis method used was a multiple regression analysis. The research findings showed that job satisfaction and professional commitment, to be exact, their satisfaction with supervisors, professional commitment continuance and normative professional commitment had a significant impact on these lecturers’ organizational commitment. The result of this study delivers important implications to universities in managing their millennial lecturers so that they can improve their organizational commitment.
Hubungan Kelekatan dengan Teman Sebaya dan Kecerdasan Emosi pada Remaja yang Tinggal di Panti Asuhan
Abstract: Issues related to emotions and low emotional intelligence, such as lack of emotions, and unstable and excessive negative emotions happened in many adolescents living in orphanages. One factor that may influence emotional intelligence is the non-family environment such as peer-attachment. This research aimed to explore the relationship between peer-attachment and emotional intelligence in adolescents living in orphanages. This research used quantitative research method, with questionnaires as measuring scales. Participants in this research were 104 adolescents living in orphanages in DKI Jakarta with the age range of 12-18 years old and collected using incidental sampling. Spearman’s results showed that value r = 0,221 (ρ = 0,024 < 0,05) and could be interpreted as a significantly positive relationship existing between peer-attachment and emotional intelligence in adolescents living in orphanages.Abstrak: Masalah yang berkaitan dengan emosi dan kecerdasan emosi yang rendah seperti keadaan haus emosi serta emosi negatif yang tidak seimbang dan berlebihan banyak dijumpai pada remaja yang tinggal di panti asuhan. Salah satu faktor yang dapat mempengaruhi kecerdasan emosi adalah faktor lingkungan non-keluarga seperti kelekatan dengan teman sebaya.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara kelekatan dengan teman sebaya dan kecerdasan emosi pada remaja yang tinggal di panti asuhan. Penelitian dijalankan menggunakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan kuesioner sebagai alat ukur. Subjek penelitian berjumlah 104 remaja yang tinggal di panti asuhan wilayah DKI Jakarta dengan rentang usia 12-18 tahun diperoleh dengan menggunakan teknik incidental sampling. Penelitian ini menggunakan uji korelasi Spearman dengan r = 0,221 (ρ = 0,024; ρ < 0,05). Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan positif yang signifikan antara kelekatan dengan teman sebaya dengan kecerdasan emosi pada remaja yang tinggal di panti asuhan
Pengaruh Modal Psikologis dan Totalitas Kerja terhadap Kesejahteraan Subjektif
Abstract: This research examined the effect of psychological capital and the totality of work on the subjective well-being of employees. This study involved 169 employees of PT X, a state-owned mining company in Jakarta. Sampling conducted using non-probability sampling with accidental sampling technique. The instruments used consisted Flourishing Scale and Scale for Positive and Negative Scales (SPANE) modified by Diener et al. (2009), Psychological Capital Questionnaire 12 (PCQ-12) from Luthans et al. (2007), Utrecht work engagement Scale (UWES-9) from Balducci, Fraccaroli, and Schaufeli (2010). Data analysis technique was multiple regression analysis. Based on the results of major hypothesis testing, the first conclusion obtained from this study is that there is a significant influence of psychological capital and work engagement on the subjective well-being of employees of PT X. Then, the results showed that four variables regression coefficient value was significant, that is; (1) self-efficacy; (2) spirit; (3) dedication; and (4) absorption while three other variables are not significant. All of these variables have a positive effect on employee’s subjective well-being.Abstrak: Penelitian ini dimaksudkan untuk menguji pengaruh modal psikologis dan totalitas kerja terhadap kesejahteraan subjektif karyawan. Penelitian ini melibatkan 169 karyawan PT X, BUMN dalam bidang pertambangan di Jakarta. Pengambilan sampel yang dilakukan menggunakan non probability sampling dengan teknik accidental sampling. Alat ukur yang digunakan terdiri atas Flourishing Scale (FS) dan Scale of Positive and Negative Scale (SPANE) yang dimodifikasi dari Diener et al. (2009), Psychological Capital Questionnaire 12 (PCQ-12) dari Luthans et al. (2007), Utrecht work engagement Scale (UWES-9) dari Balducci, Fraccaroli, and Schaufeli (2010). Teknik analisis data adalah analisis regresi berganda.Hasil uji hipotesis menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan modal psikologis dan totalitas kerja terhadap kesejahteraan subjektif karyawanPT X. Kemudian, hasil uji hipotesis menunjukkan bahwa terdapat empat dimensi yang nilai koefisien regresinya signifikan, yaitu: (1) self-efficacy; (2) semangat; (3) dedikasi; (4) keterlarutan, sementara 3 variabel lain tidak signifikan
