This scholarly analysis presents a comprehensive overview of the intersection of cyberlaw and the COVID-19 pandemic. Using Lens.org and Zenodo.org, the study's objective was to enhance digital literacy skills, data management capabilities, and information retrieval proficiency among students. It encompasses a wealth of information, with 18,746 initial records. After filtering, 2,357 relevant documents were obtained. The data was then meticulously analyzed, including identifying top institutions, publishers, fields of study, active authors, citation patterns, and more. The results offer valuable insights, and the dataset has been made accessible for various stakeholders, particularly students and researchers looking to delve into the dynamic landscape of cyberlaw and its response to the pandemic.

This data article presents a comprehensive analysis of scholarly works related to cyberlaw and online social networking. The goal was to identify the most prolific institutions and authors contributing to this field. Data was collected from scholarly works available on Lens.org, filtered for journal articles in the "law" category, and supplemented with image analysis. Results revealed that in 2017 and 2018, the highest number of publications were recorded. Notably, the article titled "Smart Contracts: Terminology, Technical Boundaries, and Real-World Complexity" garnered the most access. Eliza Mik, Fawzia Cassim, and Warren B Chik emerged as the most active authors, each contributing two documents. The University of South Africa emerged as the most active institution in the field of law. The top journal, "Potchefstroom Electronic Law Journal," was published by the Academy of Science of South Africa, while the Academy itself was the most prolific publisher. In the realm of online social networking, the leading institution was highlighted. Utilizing Lens.org, the study initiated with a keyword search "Cyber OR Cyber Law AND Social Media" in scholarly works, yielding a vast dataset of 187,637 academic works. After meticulous filtering, focusing on journal articles within the legal domain, 30,797 pertinent studies were identified. The analysis delves into top institutions, revealing The University of Sheffield as a prolific contributor, especially in the field of Sociology. The study's temporal analysis highlights a peak in scholarly output in 2018, emphasizing the dynamic nature of social media-related legal discourse. Sociology emerged as the dominant field of study, with contributions from esteemed institutions such as London School of Economics and Political Science. The most active authors, including Mark D Griffiths and Crihs D Geddes, exhibited substantial engagement in this domain. Geographically, the United States emerged as a key player, with 26,991 journal articles dedicated to the topic. Springer Nature stood out as the leading publisher, reflecting the substantial scholarly focus on social media. This dataset offers invaluable insights for legal scholars, policymakers, and social scientists, shedding light on the intricate relationship between cyber law and social media, thus paving the way for informed legal frameworks and societal interventions.

Examining 205 journal articles and conference proceedings from 2017 onwards, our study unveils a significant surge in research activities in the realm of online business law. Adam Lindgreen emerges as a prominent contributor, with the University of Nottingham leading in scholarly output. The analysis centers on 383 online business cases, predominantly concerning divorce-related matters, emphasizing the pressing need for legal frameworks in digital commerce. Our findings not only provide a nuanced understanding of evolving consumer protection challenges but also underscore the pivotal role of CSR strategies.
