    This research aimed to discover whether western songs improve students’ English pronunciation at the eleventh-grade students of SMA Negeri 2 Luwuk. It utilized quasi-experimental design. The population was the XI MIPA students of SMA Negeri 2 Luwuk which consisted of 58 students. The sampling used was purposive sampling. The sample was divided into two classes. Class XI MIPA 2 served as the experimental class and class XI MIPA 3 served as the control class, each class consisted of 17 students. The data were gathered through pronunciation test that included pre-test and post-test. In experimental class, the mean score of pre-test was 40.00 and post-test was 61.17. In control class, the mean score of pre-test was 27.05 and post-test was 44.70. The result of non-parametric by using Mann-Whitney U test showed that the             Sig.2-tailed or P value is 0.000 that is less than 0.05. It can be inferred that there is significant difference or H1 was accepted and H0 was rejected. It verified that songs can improve students’ pronunciation in English

    This study aims to determine the character of tolerance in learning temperature and heat based on local culture of dreadlocks treatment. The research method used was qualitative research and the data collection techniques was literature review. The research findings were in the form of various tolerance characters that were generated in the implementation of culture-based learning, namely dreadlocks treatment. The conclusion of the study shows that there are several tolerance characters that can be increased through temperature and heat based on local culture of dreadlocks treatment, they are mutual respect for differences, peace, awareness, as well as a sense of love for one's own culture

    This study aims to explore the teacher's role in the use of music and identify the types of music learning applied in kindergarten in stimulating the development of early childhood music. Teachers in kindergartens (N=100) in the kindergarten area of ​​Palu City were asked for data to fill out online questionnaires via google form. Most teachers stated that the use of music is always done every day, especially singing learning activities, listening to children's songs played through cassettes and movement and song learning activities. Teachers also use music to build children's enthusiasm, distract children when children get bored in class, and involve children in all their activities using music to connect the themes that will be studied at that time. Teachers consider music to be the most important and dominant thing in early childhood learning, because it contributes a lot to children's learning and brain development. However, the current obstacle, according to him, is because of the limited ability of teachers in music and there has been no training on the importance of learning music in early childhood, so it is believed that currently teachers are limited in providing music lessons in kindergarten. Therefore, the implementation of teacher preparation and teacher training to learn music in early childhood needs to be socialized

    Studi Komparasi Model Pembelajaran Kooperatif Think Pair Square dengan Model Pembelajaran Kooperatif Student Teams Achievement Divisions terhadap Hasil Belajar Fisika

    The purpose of this study was to determine the differences in physics learning outcomes between classes using the Think Pair Square cooperative learning model and the Cooperative Student Teams Achievement Divisions. The research method used is a quasi-experimental, with a research design "the non equivalent pretest-posttest design". The sample was selected using purposive sampling technique. The research sample was class VIII G as experimental class A (32) and class VIII F as experimental class B (34). The instrument used was a multiple-choice test of learning outcomes. Based on the results of data processing, for the experimental class A the mean score of the initial test was 7.81 and the final test score was 20.06. In the experimental class B, the mean score of the initial test was 8.68 and the final test score was 18.79. The results of statistical calculations from hypothesis testing using the t-test concluded that there are differences in physics learning outcomes between classes that follow the Think Pair Square learning model and Student Teams Achievement Divisions at SMP Negeri 3 Palu

    This study aims to determine whether there was an effect of problem-based learning models in ethnoscience-based causal reasoning strategies on physics learning outcomes. The type of research used was an experimental research design with the equivalent pretest-posttest design. The sample was selected using purposive sampling technique and resulted in class XI IPA 1 as the experimental class and class XI IPA 2 as the control class. The instrument used is a test of learning outcomes in the form of multiple choice. Based on the results of data processing, the average posttest score of the control class students was 11.30 while the experimental class obtained the average posttest score was 15.30. Analysis of the test data was carried out using a two-party t-test statistical technique to test the difference in the mean scores of student learning outcomes with a significant level of =0.05. The results were tcount = 3.60 and ttable = 2.02. This means that the value of tcount was outside the H0 acceptance area. So it can be concluded that there was an effect of problem-based learning models in ethnoscience-based causal reasoning strategies on student physics learning outcomes

    This research aims to explain the effectiveness of information services on understanding ourselves and the environment on career choices of grade XI students of SMA Negeri 1 Sarudu. The research subjects were 30 students. The main research instrument was a questionnaire. The collected data obtained were analyzed descriptively and inferentially. The results of the descriptive analysis showed that the student's career choice before attending the information service on understanding ourselves and the environment is 43,3% of students have the right career choice, 33.3% of students have moderately accurate career choices, and 23,3% of students have inappropriate career choices. After attending information services on understanding ourselves and the environment, students' career choice improves that 20% of students have definite career choices, 46,6% of students have accurate career choices, and 33,3% of students have moderately accurate career choices. Based on the results, it can be concluded that information services on understanding ourselves and the environment are effective in the career choices of grade XI students of SMA Negeri 1 Sarudu

    Pelaksanaan Supervisi Akademik Berkelanjutan sebagai Upaya Peningkatan Kompetensi Guru SMA Dalam Menyusun Silabus dan RPP

    Penelitian ini bertujun untuk meningkatkan kompetensi guru dalam menyusun silabus dan RPP. Penelitian ini termasuk dalam jenis penelitian tindakan sekolah yang dilaksanakan sebanyak 2 siklus. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah supervisi akademik yang meliputi supervisi individual dan supervisi kelas. Penelitian dilaksanakan di SMAN 1 Bambanglipuro selama bulan Agustus sampai Oktober 2019. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berupa lembar kontrol pengumpulan perangkat, lembar penilaian kualitas Silabus dan RPP. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan rata-rata kuantitas silabus dan RPP yang dibuat oleh guru sebesar 82% pada siklus 1 dan 100% pada siklus 2. Sedangkan rata-rata kualitas penyusunan silabus dan RPP juga mengalami peningkatan sebesar 36% pada siklus 1 dan 86% pada siklus 2. Jadi dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan supervisi akademik mampu meningkatkan kompetensi guru dalam menyusun silabus dan RPP di SMA Negeri 1 Bambanglipuro

    Aktifitas belajar dan hasil belajar yang sesuai dengan kriteria merupakan dua dari sekian indikator keberhasilan pembelajaran siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan meningkatkan aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa pada bidang studi PPKn. Penelitian ini menggunakan Cooperative Learning tipe Make a Match. Jenis penelitian tindakan kelas yang diusulkan oleh Kemmis dan Mc. Taggart telah diadopsi dalam penelitian ini. Subyek yang digunakan adalah 26 orang siswa kelas X peminatan DPBIB/B di SMK Negeri 1 Pajangan Bantul, Yogyakarta. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan lembar observasi untuk menilai keaktifan siswa dan lembar tes untuk menilai hasil belajar siswa. Keaktifan dan hasil belajar siswa dianalisis menggunakan teknik persentase. Keberhasilan pembelajaran ditentukan berdasarkan tiga kriteria yaitu adanya peningkatan keaktifan belajar, nilai rata-rata kelas dan jumlah siswa yang tuntas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terjadi trend peningkatan keaktifan belajar siswa pada siklus 1 dan siklus 2. Nilai rata-rata kelas meningkat dari 73,6 pada siklus 1 menjadi 78,1 pada siklus 2. Jumlah siswa yang tuntas meningkat sebesar 29,4% dari 65,4% pada siklus 1 menjadi 84,6% pada siklus 2. Jadi, penerapan pembelajara tipe make a match dapat meningkatkan keaktifan dan hasil belajar siswa kelas X

    Mata pelajaran ekonomi selama ini terkesan kurang menarik bagi siswa sehingga siswa tidak dapat menyerap materi tersebut. Rendahnya motivasi belajar siswa ditandai dengan rendahnya aktivitas dalam pembelajaran ekonomi, yang akan berdampak pada pencapaian hasil belajar siswa yang kurang optimal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas X di SMA. Hasil belajar siswa ditingkatkan melalui penerapan pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Group Investigation. Pembelajaran Group Investigation dikemas dalam model penelitian tindakan kelas 2 siklus yang diadopsi dari Kemmis dan Mc. Taggart. Setting penelitian dilakukan di SMAN 2 Bantul, Yogyakarta. Responden yang terlibat adalah 32 siswa kelas X IPS1. Hasil belajar siswa diadministrasi melalui instrumen tes dan non tes. Hasil belajar siswa dianalisis menggunakan teknik persentase. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan rata-rata hasil belajar dari siklus 1 ke siklus 2. Rata-rata hasil belajar siswa pada siklus 1 adalah 73,71 dan meningkat 4 poin menjadi 77,69 pada siklus 2. Jadi, penerapan pembelajaran Group Investigation dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa hasil belajar di kelas X IPS1 SMAN 2 Bantul Yogyakarta

    This study aims to determine the effect of the guided inquiry learning model on students' critical thinking skills on work and energy. The research method used was quasi-experimental designs with research designs, pretest-posttest control group designs. The research sample was class VIIB as the experimental class (n=30) and class VIIC as the control class (n=30) which was selected by purposive sampling technique. The research instrument used was a test of critical thinking skills in the form of essay questions. Data analysis was performed using non-parametric statistics and two-party t-test at a significance level of 0.05. The results of the analysis show that tcount>ttable=2,15>1,67, so H_0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. This shows that there are differences in critical thinking skills between students who use the Guided Inquiry learning model and groups of students who use conventional learning models (direct interaction). It can be concluded that there is an influence of the guided inquiry learning model on the critical thinking skills of seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 9 Palu
