    Kesalahan Sintaksis pada Abstrak Berbahasa Inggris di Jurnal Ilmiah

    Students who write theses must make an article published in a scientific journal. The most difficult part for non-English students is writing abstract into English. The aims of this study was to find errors made by students in writing abstracts and to find the most dominant types of errors in writing abstracts. The research used descriptive qualitative method. The number of articles published throughout 2020 is 30. Researchers took 30% from the number of articles so the sample of this study is 9.The students' errors in writing abstract are: 1) not understanding the suitability of subject and verb, not changing verb forms to past forms, not understanding the use of connectors, 2) changing word order influenced by source language, 3) reducing suffix determining: word class, singular plural forms, and tenses, 4) removing prepositions and objects, 5) generalizing verb forms for both singular and plural subjects, including past and present forms, so the use of suffixes is not clear.     Kahoot can be an option to meet the demands of the 4.0 era in teaching. The use of this kind of application should not only be limited to fulfilling these demands. The implication of the application for students is also an important thing to study. This study aims to describe student perceptions of the use of Kahoot in learning activities, specifically in online learning. This research was conducted in the odd semester of the 2020/2021 academic year in the General Biology course. This research is descriptive. The data in this study were collected using the help of a questionnaire regarding student perceptions. The study results found that overall, students felt that there was no difficulty in the accessibility of Kahoot, students felt that using Kahoot for quizzes was helpful in General Biology learning, students felt that taking quizzes with Kahoot was easy to implement, and students had a positive attitude towards using Kahoot for the quiz

    Pengaruh Penerapan Modul terhadap Hasil Belajar Siswa Kelas VII di SMP Negeri 3 Mepanga

    This study aims to describe the effect of the application of modules in science learning on the learning outcomes of seventh grade students at SMP Negeri 3 Mepanga. This type of research is a quasi-experimental by forming two groups of research subjects, namely the experimental group using learning modules and the control group using student books in the learning process. The research design used was unreated control group design with dependent pretest and posttest samples. The results of this study indicate that there are differences in the average learning outcomes of experimental group students and control group students. The average experimental group student learning outcome of 79.54 and the average value of control group student learning outcomes is 73.04. This is evidenced by the value of Sig. (2-tailed) on a t-test smaller than 0.05, Sig. (2-tailed) 0.001 <0.05, thus H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted, which means that there is an effect of application of modules in science learning on the learning outcomes of seventh grade students at SMP Negeri 3 Mepanga

    Analisis Pemahaman Konsep Listrik Dinamis pada Siswa SMAN 8 Palu

    This study aims to analyze students' understanding of concepts at SMAN 8 Palu on dynamic electricity. This research is a quasi-experimental research. This research is a qualitative descriptive. The subject in this study is 33 students. The research instrument was in the form of a dynamic electricity material description test based on an indicator of understanding the concept. From the results of data analysis, it was obtained that the criteria for understanding students' concepts included 5 students who were in the high criteria, 9 students in the sufficient criteria, 12 students in the low criteria, and 7 students in the very low criteria. As for the indicator of understanding the concept, it was found that 67.17% restated a concept, 69.09% changed one form of representation to another, 61.69% developed the necessary/sufficient requirements of a concept, 54.21% used and utilized and chose procedures certain activities, and 44.32% clarify concepts in everyday life. The conclusion of this study is that students' understanding of dynamic electricity concepts in SMAN 8 Palu is in the sufficient category

    The purpose of this study was to develop instruments for monitoring and evaluating practicum services in physics laboratories. This type of research is Research and Development (R&D) using the ADDIE model. Data collection was carried out through questionnaires and observation. Respondents in this study were lecturers, PLP, and students who were involved in carrying out practicums in physics laboratories. The instruments developed in this study were a satisfaction questionnaire for laboratory leaders, a student response questionnaire for laboratory staff services, a student satisfaction questionnaire for practicum services, a student response questionnaire for laboratory facilities and infrastructure, and a response questionnaire for practicum modules. The trial results show that the developed physics laboratory practicum service instrument has good quality and is suitable for use as a laboratory monitoring and evaluation instrument

    The traditional ritual of Kayori Pompaura in Marana village, Sindue district, Donggala regency, Central Sulawesi Province is one of the traditional rituals of the Kaili Rai tribe in Sindue. This Kayori Pompaura traditional ritual has different characteristics from other traditional rituals. Kayori Pompaura's traditional ritual is carried out by humming. Kayori is an anonymous type of traditional song. The hallmark of Kayori is that it is always hummed by involving many people. Therefore, Kayori requires good cooperation in every implementation. The purpose of this study is to describe the social values contained in the traditional ritual of Kayori Pompaura Sindue (Social Values Learning). The results of the study can be used as learning material for social values in schools by looking at the aspects of social values contained in the implementation of the Kayori Pompaura Sindue traditional ritual. This research is a type of qualitative descriptive research because the Kayori Pompaura traditional ritual has a natural background and the data is in the form of words (oral and written). The social values contained in Kayori Pompaura's oral literature are material values, vital values, and spiritual values. In the aspect of spiritual values, it is divided into four parts, namely the value of goodness, religious value, value of truth and value of beauty

    The development of technology and learning media has a major impact on the teaching and learning process. One form of this development is the creation of a Wordwall application to support a more interesting learning process. This study aims to describe the application of interactive Qugamee using Wordwall and determine student responses to its application in science-physics learning. This research method uses the Waterfall model. The data obtained were analyzed quantitatively descriptively. The conclusion of this study is that the application of Qugamee using Wordwall makes learning more quality, more fun and interesting, can stimulate students' cognitive development, and students respond good to its application in science-physics learning

    The purpose of this study is to find and classify the most dominant type and function of derivational affixes in Hillary Clinton’s speech. This study used a qualitative descriptive design. The data of this research are taken from speech that comes from mass media and non-verbal form. The result of the analysis shows that the most dominant type of derivational affixes in Hillary Clinton’s speech is the suffix –ing (97%) and the most dominant function of derivational affix is to form noun (63%) which attached to the root/base of the verb. The implication of this research is that the research result is useful to enrich the theory of morphological analysis of complex words so that the process of word formation becomes easier for non-native speakers

    Lesson preparation is a challenging job. Researchers and educators worldwide generally agree that a lesson plan's quality and an efficient teaching-learning process go hand in hand. Meanwhile, mathematical reasoning aids in the development of logical reasoning and critical thinking in mathematics. Inadequate mathematical thinking abilities can affect performance not only in mathematics but also in science, economics, and other subjects. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to identify teacher difficulties regarding the preparation to improve students’ mathematical reasoning through lesson plans. The study is a descriptive study, one of the qualitative research methods. The data was collected via an online form developed by the researchers and included open-ended questions. The participants of this study were ninety-three mathematics teachers who enrolled in a three-week online workshop about improving students’ mathematical reasoning. Data were analyzed according to the content analysis steps, which is one of the qualitative research methods. It was found that 73,1% of teachers responded that the content load of the curriculum was a major obstacle during planning the lesson to improve students’ mathematical reasoning. And several obstacles are discussed in this paper

    The absence of digital visualisation in mathematical concepts leads on students' difficulty in learning and affect on lack of students' participation. The study aims to increase students' participation through the implementation of triple integral didactical design assisted by using GeoGebra and Nearpod. GeoGebra is a tool used to help students in finding mathematical concepts as well as demonstration and visualization. In addition, in this didactical design, there are several problem practices and quizzes that were provided by using recorded video from lecturers and processed into digital quizzes on Nearpod. The subjects were 65 students in the third semester of Mathematics Education Study Program who have never taken triple integral course. The research method used was Didactical Design Research. The data were collected by triangulation of observation, interview, and documentation. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the percentage of students' participation increases through the implementation of triple integral didactical design assisted by using GeoGebra and Nearpod
