Get PDFThis study aims to describe the form, function, and strategy of directive speech acts in the interaction of health workers with patients at the Singgani Health Center, Palu City. This study used qualitative research methods. The data in this study were in the form of oral data contained in conversations spoken by health workers and patients at the Singgani Health Center, Palu City. The data was collected using observation techniques, recording, observing, recording then followed by data reduction, data presentation, interpreting meaning, and drawing conclusions. Based on the research results, 13 data were found in the form of directive speech acts namely, 3 forms of prohibition, 5 forms of advice, 2 forms of requests, 1 form of invitation, and 2 forms of orders. 10 directive speech act function data, namely 2 prohibition functions, 2 advisory functions, 3 solicitation functions, 1 request function, 2 command functions. 10 directive speech act strategy data, namely 6 direct strategies and 4 indirect strategies

Get PDFScience learning aims to provide opportunities for students to cultivate curiosity and seek answers naturally. However, its obstacle is that the learning models selection which is less varied and innovative so that affect student learning outcomes. An alternative solution to overcome these problems is the use of Quantum learning model which creates fun learning atmosphere. The aim of this study is to examine the effect of using Quantum learning model with multi-representation-based science worksheets on grade VIII students learning outcomes. The research design used quasi-experimental form of non-equivalent control group design. The research subjects were grade VIII students of SMPN 03 Bondowoso consisted of 7 classes with 2 classes as the research sample totaling 64 students. The sampling technique used was cluster random sampling. Data collection techniques were through pre-test, post-test, observation, interviews, and documentation. The data were analyzed using statistical tests through normality test, homogeneity test, and independent sample t-test. The experimental class post-test value shows higher than control class. In addition, data analysis shows the data value sig.(2-tailed) of 0.049 < 0.05 which means there are differences in experimental class and the control class learning outcomes. Thus, the Quantum learning model has significant effect on student learning outcomes
Pembentukan Karakter Peduli Lingkungan pada Mahasiswa PPKn melalui Pendekatan Green Constitution
Get PDFCharacter values can be attached to students through learning and habituation (habituations) for students to love and care for the campus environment so that they are expected to become student characters. The learning in PPKn based on the Green Constitution is expected to raise the rights and obligations of citizens as contained in the constitution and other laws that discuss environmental conservation. This research was conducted in the third semester of students in the study program of PPKn, Teacher Training and Education Faculty Tadulako University, totaling 75 people consisting of 2 classes. Data were collected by giving pretest and posttest questions. The pretest is given to students in the form of the multiple-choice written test. Before the treatment was given, the initial condition of the students still showed a bad habit such as littering in the classroom and outside the classroom. Students are apathetic by not taking the initiative to immediately pick up or clean up trash. This condition indicates that students still lack a sense of belonging to a clean environment. The success rate of student learning in the pretest, which is 72%, is categorized as very low and after being given material on the Green Constitution are 94.6% of students understand the concept of caring for the environment

Get PDFThe purpose of this study was to describe the characteristics of geometry problem solving in junior high school with cognitive style field independent and field dependent. This study used a qualitative method based on Polya's problem solving. The results show that the characteristics of the field independent subject are focusing on the details of problem information, focusing on facts and principles that exist with the problem being asked by relating knowledge and experience that have been studied previously, applying ideas to solve problems and focusing on facts and principles with its own structure, and processing information by checking the results of the work. Characteristics of field dependent subject tend to think globally takes longer, mastering things that have been previously learned and used in new situations, forming a connection between a person's new experience and what is already stored in his mind, and processing information by rechecking the work

Teachers as facilitators must be able to choose good learning resources for their students to use, one of which is selecting student worksheets. The teacher must carry out an analysis of the needs of learning resources in learning. The purpose of this study was to determine the teacher's ability to compile and use student worksheet in Informatics learning in the material of Computer Networks and the Internet in class X SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Palu. This type of research is qualitative descriptive research. The results of this study show that the ability of Indonesian teachers in compiling student worksheet according to the Independent Curriculum obtains an average score of 81% in the very good category and the ability to use use prepared student worksheet to obtain an average score of 89% in the very good category
Identifikasi Faktor-Faktor Penyebab Kesulitan Belajar Fisika dalam Materi Usaha dan Energi pada Siswa SMA
Get PDFThis research aimed to identify the learning difficulties experienced by students in class XI IPA at SMA Negeri 1 Nuhon in learning the physics topic of work and energy. The research method used was descriptive research with a qualitative approach. The research subjects consisted of six students who were selected based on recommendations from the physics teacher. Data was collected through test questions and analyzed using the stages of the Polya method, namely understanding the problem, planning a solution, implementing the plan, and reviewing it. Additionally, interviews were conducted to support the research. The results showed that students faced difficulties mainly in aspect II (planning problem solving), as most students were unable to write a plan for solving problems, such as outlining the steps and the correct formulas. Difficulties also arose in aspect III (solving problems), where all students struggled to complete and accurately record the correct answers. However, they demonstrated an ability to understand and complete questions one and two well and provide correct answers. Regarding aspect IV (revisiting), students often neglected to double-check and review their work, which resulted in errors. In conclusion, it can be inferred that students experienced difficulties in aspects II, III, and IV

Get PDFVarious problems experienced by students have an impact on the learning process until the completion of student studies. If this problem is allowed to continue, it will have a bad impact on students and faculty. Students may be late in completing their studies until drop out which ultimately affects the accreditation of the faculty of medicine. The problems experienced by students are mostly caused by their lack of skills or ability to solve problems independently. The transition from the previous education level to higher education causes various problems that affect the quality of student academic performance on campus, resulting in behaviors such as procrastination habits to complete assignments, low motivation to learn, poor self-regulation, difficulty managing time, not knowing the appropriate learning method with their personality, and stress. This study aims to increase knowledge about time management and stress management skills in medical faculty students. This research method used a quasi-experimental approach with a quantitative approach. The experimental design used was one-group pretest-posttest. The instrument used was the knowledge test about stress management skills and the knowledge test about time management skills. The results showed that there was an increase in students' knowledge about time management skills in the high category and an increase in stress management skills in the high category

Therefore, its use in learning, especially for science students in physics learning materials related to the use of temperature during the production process still needs to be explored. This study aims to introduce the advantages of carica which can be explored through the production of carica dates which are endemic to the village of Atas Awan. This is because carica date products do not go through a boiling process which can damage the important ingredients in carica. This study used a qualitative descriptive research method with data collection techniques carried out through interviews, observation, and experiments. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that carica can be processed into various kinds of preparations that are in great demand and have many benefits, such as carica sweets, carica jam, carica chips, carica chocolate, carica batik, and carica dates. Processing carica into carica dates can be used as an ethnoscience medium to support students' attitudes towards science, especially science students in physics related to the use of temperature during the production process

The Covid-19 handling health team requires a health protocol that is always wearing a mask, washing hands with soap or hand sanitizer, maintaining distance, and cleaning the room with disinfectant. However, the awareness of using masks by teachers and students in schools is still low. The general complaint that is felt is difficult to breathe by using a mask for a long time. The difficulty of breathing by using a mask because the inhaled air will experience obstacles that enter the nose. The problem of obstructing air breathing air with a mask needs to be repaired by the mask to be comfortable to use. The concept of air movement concerns its pressure and speed on learning taught in pressure and speed material. This concept becomes the basis in understanding the circulation of respiratory air that occurs in the mask. By looking at this interesting situation it is necessary to make a physics learning media that can be used directly by students or teachers and in accordance with the current pandemic conditions. Making alearning media is summarized in training activities for making micro brushless fan masks. The training provided is a way to make a micro brushles fan mask that can control the Covid-19 virus, students and teachers can produce products that are useful and can be used directly at school which ultimately has a big impact on the community
Pelatihan Penggunaan Media Kongkret dalam Penanaman Konsep pada Operasi Hitung Bilangan Bulat
Get PDFThe purpose of implementing this service is (1) to strengthen the ability of elementary school teachers in using concrete media to instill the concept of integer operations (2) the mistakes made by trainees in using concrete media to instill the concept of integer operations. The participants of this training were teachers of SD Gugus V, East Palu District with a total of 25 participants. The service method used is presentation, demonstration, training and question and answer. The results of the service implementation show that all participants are very enthusiastic about participating in this training activity, and all training participants have obtained strengthening abilities to use concrete in learning integer arithmetic operations. However, the findings of the questionnaire showed that there were still trainees who experienced errors in using the posinega card and number line media. Errors in using posinega cards occur in subtraction operations, namely the use of neutral cards so that subtraction operations can be carried out. While using the number line, the error found is not changing the direction of the arrow when the operation is subtraction. If the arrows are not changed, then the forward (addition) and backward (subtract) steps will result in an error. Respondents also still find it difficult to distinguish the sign of the subtraction operation from the sign of a number (negative number), so that when the respondent is working on subtracting positive and negative integers or negative and negative integers, there are still many respondents who make the wrong number line demonstration
