    PERBANDINGAN PROFIL LIPID PADA SERUM DARAH PENDERITA HIPERTENSI DAN NORMOTENSI

    ABSTRACT Increased blood pressure more than 140/90 mmHg taken from three measurement in 24 hours can be diagnosed as hypertension. Abnormality of lipid values condition was found at many hypertensive. Based on this reason examination of lipid profile in hypertensive and normotensive should be done. The aim of this research was to measure and compare lipid profile on blood serum in hypertensive    and normotensive. Lipid profile was measured by Konelab 20XT clinical chemistry analyzer. Ex     Post Facto used as method and Cross-sectional used as design. A total of 50 blood samples collected from Hypertensive (N1=25) and normotensive (N2=25) from June to August 2014. SPSS 16.0 was used to analyze the data, T-test was used to compare value of LDL cholesterol, HDL cholesterol and total cholesterol while U Mann-Whitney test was used to compare value of triglyceride. The result      of this research showed that the mean value of triglyceride was 146.56 mg/dL in hypertensive and 143.92 mg/dL in normotensive (p=0.11). The mean value of LDL cholesterol was 129.80 mg/dL in hypertensive and 136.72 mg/dL in normotensive (p=0.62). The mean value of HDL cholesterol was  38.80 mg/dL in hypertensive and 45.04 mg/dL in normotensive (p=0.1). The mean value of total cholesterol was 201.04 mg/dL in hypertensive and 221.88 mg/dL in normotensive (p=0.25). In conclusion, there was no different of lipid profile on blood serum in hypertensive and normotensive.  Keywords: hypertension, lipid profile, normotensiv

    oai:jurnalunj.journal.unj.ac.id:article/446Abstract Rays are cartilaginous fishes that are commonly caught by fishermen in Java Sea especially in Jakarta Bay. One species of rays that has been oftenly caught is Himantura walga. Even though they are not categorized as target fishes, rays are susceptible to excessive fishing, due to their biological characteristics, so an effort is needed to conserve these fishes in the nature. As a first step to their conservation, an initial survey about its reproduction was done for Himantura walga. The survey covered spread of width size, sex ratio, growth pattern, sexual maturity level and the width size of males and females when they reach sexual maturity. Method used was descriptive with both market and purposive sampling. Chi square analysis showed that male and female ratio were well balanced. Result of regression showed that the width-weight correlation between male and female rays was allometrically positive. Most Captured males showed that their sexual maturity were at fully calcified stage (FC) while most females were at immature stage (TKG 1), according to their gonad condition. Males tend to reach sexual maturity earlier and have smaller body than females. Hence, it is advised for the fishermen to use selective fishing gears that are only able to capture adult rays.     Abstract Frigatebird is one of seabird species found in Pulau Rambut Wildlife Reserve (SMPR). The bird activities include roost in fish pole, flying, foraging in the ocean and also roosting in SMPR at night. The aim of this research was to know roosting site used by frigatebird while at SMPR. This research was conducted in SMPR, Jakarta on August and September 2010 by descriptive method and survey techniques. Data was collected directly on the object of research. Frigatebird population was calculated directly by counting individuals one by one as they flew low in the air over SMPR. Frigatebird roosting site was also researched directly by observing frigatebird when going to roost. Furthermore, vegetation analysis was also conducted on trees in roosting site. Based on our obsevations, the population of frigatebird obtained in SMPR ranged between 87-193 birds. Frigatebird utilize Sterculia foetida tree to be used as a place to roost. This roosting site located in mixed secondary forest to the west and south SMPR close to mangrove forest. Average of height and diameter of S. foetida tree used to roost is 23.47 m and 42.26 cm. There were commonly 3 species of tree of frigatebird roosting site namely Ficus sp.     Abstract Javan Hawk – Eagles is an endemic raptor species in Java Island which is protected by the state and listed as endangered by IUCN and CITES Appendix II. The population of Javan Hawk - Eagles has been greatly reduced due to large-scale of illegal logging and forest destruction. The initial step that could be taken to preserve this species is to study the population in its natural habitat. Thus, studying the population of Javan Hawk - Eagles was the aim of this research. The research was conducted at Gunung Salak, Gunung Halimun – Salak National Park in February to March 2011. Method used was explorative descriptive with look-down method on particular. Data were analyzed descriptively by describing the species’ distribution map by using ArcGIS and ArcView GIS 3.3 softwares. The results showed that the eagle population consisted of    13 individuals with density and abundance values of 0.183 individuals/km2 (1 individual/6 km2) and 2. The values fell into “few category†and the distribution pattern was categorized as “uniformâ€.     Abstract Soybean (Glycine max L.) is annual crop that have high morphologies and yield components diversity. The research was conducted at the first season of 2011, the objective of the research were to find morphological, yield, and yield component of Soybean germplasm (Glicine max L.). The research was carried out at experimental station BB-BIOGEN Citayam, Depok, and laboratory of Gene Bank BB-BIOGEN. The experiment used randomized block design with 100 different accessions and three replications for each accession. Based on the observation, the morphological characters have many visual forms. They are as follows: growth percentage in which 19.33 – 99%; growth types were determinate and indeterminate, the leave form was triangle to sharp; purple and white flowers; yellow and black seeds color. The range of values for each characteristic component are as follows: plant height 29,23 – 104,25 cm; number of pods per plant was 23,6 – 99,82; flowering time 33 – 47 days after planting; 100 seed weight 5,98 – 20,77 gram; maturing time 75 – 96,67 days after planting; root nodule’s weight 0,004 – 0,109 gram; seed’s weight 3,15 – 11,45 gram/plant. Among the accessions, the highest yield was shown by B 4323 (643,27 gram/3,6 m2). Significant correlation was shown between soybean’s yield components and yield which were plant’s height, growth percentage, numbers of main stem’s node, numbers of pods, seeds weight for each plant and root nodule’s weight. 100 seeds weight showed significant negative correlation with soybean components.   Key words: germplasm, morphological characteristics, soybean, yield component

    Abstract The existence of ants in the nature are influenced by biotic and abiotic components. Different of conditions in a habitat determine biodiversity inside, belonging to ants diversity. This research was aim to know diversity, richness, and distribution of ants in various Mountain Forest Subzone in along Cibodas Climbing Track, TNGGP. It was first study about ants of TNGGP because no previous research was held so that can becomed reference for next research and conservation step. The used method was descriptive with survey technique of pit fall trap by alcohol located in 3 mountain forest subzones for 6 position that were Telaga Biru, Cibeureum waterfall, Air Panas, Kandang Badak, Mount Gede Summit, and Alun-Alun Suryakencana. This research has identified 4 subfamilies and 12 species.     Abstract Bamboo spread naturally in tropical and subtropical regions of all continents except Europe, found at altitudes of up to 4000 meters above sea level. In the rainy season bamboo will experience growth of stems or bamboo shoot can grow 70% maximum height and diameter. The purpose of this research was to determine the rate of growth of bamboo in PPKA Bodogol, Gunung Gede Pangrango National Park. The result found 8 types of bamboo, there were Schizostachyum bamban, Gigantochloa pseudoarundinacea, Dinochloa scandens, Bambusa vulgaris, Gigantochloa apus, Gigantochloa atter, Gigantochloa hasskarliana, and Gigantochloa sp. The growth rate all of species is 13,49 cm/ day. From some types of bamboo, the growth were above average and was found on the Schizostachyum bamban, Gigantochloa sp..     Abstract The purpose of this study is describing the larva of Aedes aegypti positive water reservoir in Cakung Timur District, which is one of the endemic DHF areas. This is a descriptive research. This research was conducted to 100 residential houses, on October 2010. Larva that gets from water reservoir was brought to FMIPA UNJ laboratory to be examined further. There were 606 water reservoirs found in Cakung Timur District and 5.61% were Aedes aegypti larva positive.     Abstract Cashew (Anacardium occidentale L.) is a plant with high economic value. Conventional propagation of this plant still has obstacles, so an alternative techniques using tissue culture could be tried. One of the factors that determine the success of tissue culture techniques is the type and concentration of growth regulators was used. Growth regulator which have effect on shoot elongation is a cytokinin and gibberellin, this research tried to investigate the influence of combination cytokinin and gibberelin on in vitro shoot elongation of cashew. This research was conducted at BB-Biogen, Bogor on June-November 2010. The method in this research was to design experimental method with completely randomized design. The result was cytokinin could increase the length of shoots and quantity of shoots very well until 4 cm and quantity of shoot for 5.     Abstract Tropical forest vegetation varies with vegetation structure. Branch characteristics were very complex, created gaps with some variation.Gaps can form physical environment that affect the performance of motion, flight and thermoregulation of insects. The purpose of this study was to determine the behavioral response of butterflies to patch influenced by canopy covering of  a tropical rain forest rain. The study was conducted on 20-22 June 2013, in 6 pairs of patch   on the vegetation canopy gaps and closed canopy PPKA Bodogol, Sukabumi, West Java. Behavioral observations used was focal animal sampling technique and analyzed by Manova Test.
