Non-specific low back pain (NSLBP) has a high prevalence among the population. NSLBP not only affects individuals but also has an impact on decreasing work productivity and ultimately affecting the economic sector. There are several multimodal that can be given to treat NSLBP. This case series is a preliminary study to determine the effectiveness of the combination of ultrasound therapy, stretching training, lumbar joint mobilization, and lumbopelvic stabilization training in NSLBP in improving pain and reducing back disability. The intervention was given three times in 1 week for four weeks (12 sessions) to 3 respondents. The effectiveness of therapy was assessed using a numeric rating scale (NRS) to measure pain reduction and the Indonesian version of the modified Oswestry disability index (MODI) to assess the decrease in lower back disability in NSLBP. Based on the results of the case series, there was a decrease in the average NRS value from 4.67 to 1.93 (with a difference in the average decrease of 2.74), and there was a decrease in the average MODI value from 32 to 13.67 (with a difference in the mean decrease of 18.33). The results of this case series provide information that the combination of UST, stretching exercise, joint mobilization, and lumbopelvic stabilization exercise is beneficial in reducing pain and disability in NSLBP. This case series is a preliminary study on the multimodal combination in the treatment of NSLBP. It is hoped that further experimental studies will be conducted to prove this combination\u27s effectiveness in treating individuals with NSLBP.Nyeri punggung bawah non-spesifik (NSLBP) memiliki prevalensi yang tinggi di antara populasi. NSLBP tidak hanya mempengaruhi individu tetapi juga berdampak pada penurunan produktivitas kerja dan pada akhirnya mempengaruhi sektor ekonomi. Many successful professional athletes start from a humble beginning where investing time, dedication, and hard work is required. This research investigates the motivations and challenges young Filipino (Batang Pinoy) athletes experience while pursuing careers in boxing. It purposively selected 10 young male boxing athletes who had already competed in provincial, regional and national games from the Bicol region, Philippines. Using a phenomenological approach, the participants participated in an in-depth interview using the validated interview questions. It reveals that poverty is portrayed as a great motivator of young athletes, where the life stories of successful world boxing champions serve as their basis. They are also influenced and supported by their peers and family in their boxing careers. However, insufficient facilities and fundings are mainly the cause of their struggles. This study serves as a call for the national governing body of sports in the country to further extend its efforts to support the needs of young potential athletes. Specifically, safety equipment and training, strengthening sports policies, and funding are necessary to solve these challenges. Active recovery is recommended to help the soccer player recover quickly. However, there has been no study comparing the most effective active recovery methods post-match. The purpose of this study was to compare active recovery (jogging and cycling) to the heart rate and fatigue level of athletes. This study uses an experimental method with a pretest-posttest crossover design approach. Subjects were 22 male amateur football athletes with an average (age, 19.40 ± 1.18 years; height, 170.04 ± 3.54 cm; weight, 62.89 ± 5.44 kg). The results showed that the average heart rate (HR), vertical jump (VJ), and lactate levels between groups after the simulation match did not show significant differences (HR p= 0.748, VJ p=0.984, lactate p=0.633). However, for variables HR and lactate levels experienced a significant decrease after undergoing recovery treatment, and when viewed from the delta the jogging group experienced a decrease (HR 24.7%, and lactate 52.5%), for the bicycle group (HR 29.3%, and lactate 60.9%) and the sitting group (HR 19.91%, and lactate 23.4%). So the results of this study provide evidence that post-match cycling can contribute to a more effective active recovery strategy. Thus the results of this study can be used as a reference for coaches and athletes in a good recovery process after a football match.Active recovery is recommended to help the soccer player recover quickly.
