    The aim of research was to compare birth weight, sex of kids, prolificacy of does between the first and second parity of Ettawa grade goat at Metro City to select replacement stock that was prolific and high at birth weight. Survey method was used in this research to observe birth weight of male and female kid, percentage of male and female kid, percentage of does foals single kid and twin, litter size between the first and second parity. Survey was conducted by observation recording of 80 heads of doe. Result of this research indicated that birth weight of male kid of the first parity (2,60 ± 0,26 kg) and the second parity (2,67 ± 0,18 kg) were higher (P<0,05) than that of female kid of the first parity (2,43± 0,21 kg) and the second parity (2,48 ± 0,15 kg), 46 % kids of the first parity and 42 % kids of the second parity were male, 54 % kids of the first parity and 58 % kids of the second parity were  female, 45 % does of the first parity and 40 % does of the second parity foal twin kids, 55 % does of the first parity and 60 % does of the second parity foal single kid, litter size of of the second parity (1,56±0,50 heads) was higher (P<0.05) than that of the first parity (1,41±0,50 heads) It could be concluded that prolificacy of does of the first and second parity were not good and kids born at the second parity and high at birth weight could be choosen as replacement stock.     The purpose of this study were to 1) investigate the effects of heartleaf maderavine madevine (Anredera cordifolia (Ten.) Steenis) extract in water on performance of broiler 2) determine the optimal dose of heartleaf maderavine madevine leave extract in water on performance of broiler. This research use Completely Randomized Design (CRD), with 5 treatments (0 mg heartleaf maderavine madevine exract/kg bw, 100 mg heartleaf maderavine madevine exract kg bw, 150 mg heartleaf maderavine madevine exract /kg bw, 200 mg heartleaf maderavine madevine exract /kg bw, and 250 mg heartleaf maderavine madevine exract kg bw) and 4 replications. The material used 100 broilers age 15 days and was carried out for 14 days. Polynomal orthogonal test done if there is a signification variable. Based on result showed that the treatments did not provide significant effect on performance of broiler

    Type of medium rooster has been used as a livestock producer of meat.  This study aims to: 1) determine the effect of different levels crude fiber in ration to weight liver, gizzard and intestine rooster type of medium age of 8 weeks; 2) determine the best crude fiber level in ration on weight liver, gizzard and intestine rooster type of medium age of 8 weeks.  This study was conducted in 12 September until 20 October 2014 located in the cage of Ramajaya in Karang Anyar Farm, Fajar Baru, Jati Agung, South of Lampung. The analysis of feed was conducted in Laboratory of Animal Feed, Departement of Animal Husbandry, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Lampung.  This study used completely randomized design (CRD) with 4 treatments and 3 replications. R0 = ration with crude fiber content of 4%, R1 = ration with crude fiber content of 6%, R2 = ration with crude fiber content of 8% and R3 = ration containing 10% crude fiber.  Data obtained was statistically tested to determine the effect of treatments to the variables observed by variance analysis.  Then, it was continued by using Least Significant Different (LSD) on significant level 5%.  The result of this study showed that ration with different levels of crude fiber (R0 = 4%, 6% R1 = R2 = R3 = 8% and 10%) was not significant (P> 0.05) to the internal organs rooster type of medium age of 8 week

    Binahong is a medicinal plant that grows in the lower mainland and the plateau that has a lot of benefits in curing various diseases mild or severe. One of this plant’s partis very useful,especially the leaves, because they contain some active compounds that are beneficial to health such as flavonoids, alkaloids, triterpenoids and saponins. This study aims to: 1) determine the effect of binahong leaf extract in drinking water on live weight, carcass weight and giblet broiler; 2) determine the best binahong leaf extract in drinking water to live weight, carcass weight, giblet broiler. The research was conducted on 10th June to 8th July, 2014 at henhouse Department of Animal Husbandry, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Lampung. The method of research used completely randomized design (CRD), consist of 5 treatments and 4 replications. Each replication consist of 5 chickens per plot. The treatments were: 1) R0: 0 mg / kg body weight; 2) R1: 100 mg / kg body weight; 3) R2: 150 mg / kg body weight; 4) R3: 200 mg / kg body weight; 5) R4: 250 mg / kg body weight. The data obtained were analyzed by using ANOVA at 5% level. If the analysis shows real results, then continued with Least Significant Beta Test (BNT) at 1% or 5%. The results showed that: (1) the effect of leaf extract binahong 100-250 mg / kg of body weight in drinking water were significantly different (P <0.05) on live weight, carcass weight, and giblet broiler (2) binahong leaf extract in drinking water at 100-250 mg / kg of body weight caused lower body weight, carcass and giblet broiler if compared with controls

    This research aims to understanded the effect of a long storage on water content, physical qualities (color, scent, and texture), and fungus scatters on the wafers of vegetables and potatoes waste.  The composition of the wafers (%DM): squashs 3,68 %, green mustards 7,81 %, carrots 33,28 %, tomatoes 2,74 %, sweet potatoes 29,77 %, potatoes 5,38 %, cauliflowes leaves 5,91 %, molasses 11,38 %, and salt 0,05 %. This study was conducted in September 2014—October 2014 at Bandar Baru, Sukau, West Lampung and analysed at Laboratory of Nutrition and Feedstuffs, Department of Animal Husbandry, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Lampung. The design of treatment used Completely Random Design (CRD) with three treatments and four tests and then continued with Least Significant Difference Test (LSDT). This research result indicated that long storage had significantly effect (P<0,01) on the water content, physical qualities, and fungus scatters on the wafers of vegetables and potatoes waste. The lowest water content, solid texture, brownish color, the scent of typical wafers and there was no a growth of fungus on wafers vegetables and potatoes waste can still could be still maintained until the fourth weeks

    The objective of this research is to know the influence of the proportion of the distribution of feed in the morning, afternoon, and night toward physiological and production response of Simental Cattle Grade. The parameters measured is respiration rate, heart rate, body temperature, dry matter intake, average daily gain, and feed convertion ratio. This research is implemented by using Randomized Block Design (RBD) with three treatment and four group. Beef cattle used is bull of Simental Cattle Grade with body weights 330—420 kg.  The treatment that used is proportion of the distribution of feed 33,3% morning, 33,3% afternoon, 33,3% night (P1);  50% morning, 25% afternoon, 25% night (P2); and 25% morning, 25% afternoon, 50% night (P3). The data from this research is tested by using analyzed of variance and continued with Least Significance Difference (LSD).  The result of this research shows that by the proportion of the distribution of feedin different in the morning, afternoon, and night have positive influence (P<0,05) toward physiological response on the respiration rate, and heart rate, but have not positive influential (P>0,05) toward body temperature and response of production on the dry matter intake, average daily gain, and feed conversion ratio. The proportion of feed (P3) is the best treatment to the physiological response of cattle and no treatment that gives the best production response

    Ration nutrient content provided should be considered crude fiber content. Crude fiber can stimulate the digestive tract peristalsis so digestion of nutrients going smooth.  This study aims to: (1) determine the effect of different diets on the coarse fibrous body weight, percentage of body weight, carcass weight and percentage rooster type of medium and (2) obtain the level of crude fiber in the diet best for body weight, percentage of body weight , weight and carcass percentage rooster medium type. This study was conducted in 12 September until 20 October 2014 located in the cage of Rama Jaya Farm, Karang Anyar, District Court Teak, South Lampung regency. This study used a completely randomized design (CRD) with 4 treatments and 3 replications.  Ration percentage of crude fiber are R0: 4%, R1: 6%, R2: 8%, and R3: 10%. The resulting data were analyzed using ANOVA , if the variance analysis showed that the treatment of crude fibrous ration significantly different at 5% level , then the analysis followed by Least Significant Difference test ( LSD). Based on these results it can be concluded that: Giving a crude fibrous ration 4, 6, 8, and 10% not significant (P˃0,05) on body weight, percentage of body weight, carcass weight and percentage rooster type of medium age of 8 weeks

    The objective of this research was to find out the comparison of ten days old eggs on shell thickness, weight lost, and egg haugh unit value from different layer  strains. Layer strains to use in this research were isa brown and lohman brown strains. 50 egg samples were taken from each strain from layerof 58 weeks old. This reserach was conducted in Mulawarman egg chicken farming in Tegal Sari village of GadingRejo sub district, in Pringsewu district, and in Animal Production and Reproduction  Laborator, in Animal Husbandry Departement of Agriculture Faculty in Lampung University inApril 2015. Eggs from each strain were stored for ten days. Data were tested by using t-student test with 5% trust level. The result showed that egg weight lost from lohman brown strain was significantly lower (P< 0.05) than isa brown strain, while Haugh Unit and shell thickness from both strains were not significantly different (P>0.05) at ten days storage.     This research was carried out in October-December, 2012, the District of Gisting, Tanggamus Regency (upland) andin the Negri Sakti, Pesawaran Regency Settings Gedong Tataan (lowland). The methods used in this research is aSurvey method. Research Data were taken from 30 goats Boerawa pascasapih phase which includes males, rectaltemperature values, the frequency of heart rate, and respiratory frequency. Analyzed using t-test.The data collected from this research result indicates a very real (P<0.01 ) against temperature rektal, frequencyheart rate, and frequency respiration male goat boerawa phase pascasapih preserved in lowland (P1 ) and uplands (P2 ). Average value temperature rektal, frequency heart rate, and frequency respiration livestock, both boerawa malephase pascasapih in lowland is 39,330C, 84 time/minutes and 42 time/minutes and average value temperature rektal,frequency heart rate, and frequency respiration livestock, both boerawa male phase pascasapih on upland is 39,110C,74 time/minutes and 31 time/minutes

    Eggs are a food of animal which have semi perishable food because it contains many nutrients needed formicroorganisms. The first phase of layer production was 28 weeks produces eggs that have a surface area not large,eggshell thickness causing CO2 and H2O expenditures through pores during storage is slow, and the rate of declinein internal egg quality is getting old. Propose this study is (1) determine the effect of egg storage time on internalegg quality (egg weight, value of HU, pH of the egg, and yolk color) layer production in the first phase, (2) knowthe best of the old store internal quality egg production in the first phase. This study carry out on 25 September – 09October 2013, in laboratory animal production and reproduction, animal husbandry department, faculty ofagriculture, university of lampung. This is study using a completely randomized design with 4 treatments eggstorage time for 1, 5, 10, and 15 days. Data obtained were tested in accordance with the assumption of variance. Ifthere is a real variable Duncan is test at level 5%. The result of this study indicate that treatment of egg storagesignificant effect on eggs weight, value of HU, an increase in the pH of the egg, and yolk color. Storage of eggs for5 days had the highest score based on the value of HU (65,42 3,85) classification as A quality, low egg weight lossof 0,9% and the best store longer than 10 and 15 days of storage
