STATUS MIKROBIOLOGI DAGING BROILER DARI PASAR – PASAR TRADISIONAL DI KOTA METRO
This research aimed to determine microbiologic status observation on the broiler chiken of the traditional markets in the city of Metro. The study was conducted from Desember 2015 - Januari 2016 in the Laboratory Veterinerr Region III Office of Lampung. The study used a random sampling technique and used 22 samples from 4 traditional markets of Cendrawasih, 16 C Margorejo, 24 Margorejo, and Tejo Agung. Parameters of microbiologic status data were analyzed using binominal test concern their each parameters (National Standardization Agency (NSA) 7388:2009). The result showed that TPC (Total Plate Count) was same with standard, Coliform up standard, Salmonella sp. was same with standard. PENGARUH PEMBERIAN DOSIS VITAMIN C TERHADAP SUSUT BOBOT SAPI SELAMA PENGANGKUTAN SAPI DARI PROVINSI LAMPUNG KE PALEMBANG
The operation research were held to elevated effect of vitamin C dosages on cattle body weight lost and determined correlation and regression of temperature, humidity, and length of journey to cattle body weight lost during transportation from Lampung to Palembang. Research used Completely Randomized Design. The treatments are Control (P0); 1,000 mg vitamin C (P1); 1,500 mg vitamin C (P2); 40 heads respectively. Research was held on September – November 2015 following cattle transportation from Karang Endah, Central Lampung, Lampung to Tanjung Raja, Indralaya, South Sumatera. The data were analysed using Analysis of Variance 5% and 1% to know the effect of vitamin C dosage on cattle body weight lost, continued with Least Significance Different 5% and 1%. Correlation and regression of body weight lost to temperature, humidity, and length of journey were analyzed using correlation and regression analysis. The results showed vitamin C treatment had highly significant result (P<0,01) on cattle body weight lost during transportation at 9,53% on 1.000 mg vitamin C (P1); and 9,26% on 1.500 mg vitamin C (P2). The best results were given by 1.500 mg of vitamin C treatment. The correlation between body weight lost to temperature, humidity, and length of journey were 0,36, 0,054, and 0,17 on P0; 0,26, 0,26, and 0,0003 on P1; 0,24, 0,24, and 0,14 on P2. PENGARUH LARUTAN JERUK NIPIS DAN GULA PADA DOSIS YANG BERBEDA SEBAGAI LARUTAN PENYEMPROT TERHADAP MORTALITAS, LAMA TETAS, DAN SALEABLE DOD ITIK TEGAL
The aim of this research was to (1) identify the effect of spray solution (lime and sugar) at different doses on mortality embryo, hatching time and saleable tegal ducks, (2) investigate the best spray solution at different dose on mortality embryo, hatching time and saleable tegal ducks. The research was conducted from 11th December 2015-9th January 2016 at Beruang St, 12 Kedaton, Bandar Lampung. Research using a completely randomized design (CRD) with 2x2 of nested model. The main block is the kind solution (lime and sugar) and the partial block is dosage solution (5% and 10%) with 5 replication. Every unit experimental consist of 3 eggs with average initial weight at 72 ± 1.8 g/egg with coefficient variation ± 2.45%. variables measured were mortality of last three days of hatching, hatching time and saleable DOD tegal ducks. Research data were analyzed by using the assumption of variance on the real level of 5%. The results shows that (1) spray solution (lime and sugar) at different dose give no significant effect (P> 0,05) on mortality, hatching time, and saleable DOD tegal ducks, (2) yet there is the best spray solution at different doses on mortality, hatching time and saleable DOD tegal ducks. PENGARUH SUBSTITUSI RUMPUT GAJAH (Pennisetum purpureum) DENGAN PELEPAH DAUN SAWIT TERHADAP KECERNAAN PROTEIN KASAR DAN KECERNAAN SERAT KASAR PADA KAMBING
The purpose of this research was to determine effect substitution of elephant grass with palm leave sheat fermented and unfermented feed on the digestibility of crude protein and crude fiber in goats. The research lasted from October to November 2015 in Animal Husbandry Departments, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Lampung. The research used a Randomize Complete Block Design. The group based on the body weight of goats. The group amount in 3 and each group contained 3 goats, an average body weight 9--21 kg/head. Treatments : R1 (80% concentrate + 20% elephant grass); R2 (80% concentrate + 20% unfermented palm leave sheat); and R3 (80% concentrate + 20% fermented palm leave sheat). The data obtained were analyzed using ANOVA. This was followed by Duncan Test. The results showed that the substitution of elephant grass with palm leave sheat not significant (P> 0.05) on the digestibility of crude protein, but it was highly significant (P <0.01) the digestibility of crude fiber. PENGARUH PEMBERIAN RANSUM BERBASIS LIMBAH KELAPA SAWIT FERMENTASI TERHADAP KONSUMSI ENERGI DAN ENERGI TERCERNA PADA SAPI PERANAKAN ONGOLE (PO)
This research aims to determine the impact of fermented palm oil waste in the ration to the energy intake and digestible energy in cattle grade Ongole. The research was conducted in September-December 2015 in the Laboratory Department of Animal Husbandry, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Lampung. This study uses a randomized block design consisted of three treatments and three replications. Grouping based on body weight is between 200-250 kg in group I, between 170-199 kg in group II, and between 140-169 kg in group III. Ration treatment used are R0 = control diet (15% of rice straw, 22% of copra meal, 32% of cassava waste, 25% of fine bran, 4% of molasses, 1% of urea, and 1% of premix), R1 = dietary based palm oil waste without fermentation (15% of palm midrib and leaves, 355 of copra oil, 18% of cassava waste, 25% of fine bran, 4% of molasses, 2% of urea, and 1% of premix) and R2 = dietary based palm oil waste fermented (15% of palm midrib and leaves fermented , 35% of copra oil, 18% of cassava waste, 25% of fine bran, 4%of molasses, 2% of urea, and 1% of premix). The data obtained were tested by analysis of variance followed by Least Significant Difference Test if the value of analysis of variance showed real results. The results showed that: (1) awarding dietary based palm oil waste significant (P <0.05) on energy intake and digestible energy. (2) the highest value of energy intake and digestible energy is on R2 with the dietary based palm oil waste fermented. Keywords :Digestible Energy, Energy Intake, Palm Oil Wast
STATUS MIKROBIOLOGI (TOTAL PLATE COUNT, COLIFORM, DAN Escherichia coli) SUSU KAMBING PERANAKAN ETAWA (PE) DI DESA SUNGAI LANGKA KECAMATAN GEDONG TATAAN KABUPATEN PESAWARAN
This research aimed to determine microbiologic status observation of the Ettawa Crossbred milk in Sungai Langka Village Gedong Tataan District Pesawaran Regency. This study used a survey method. Data retrieval in this research by questionnaire. The study was conducted from Mei—Juni 2016 in the Laboratory Veteriner Office of Lampung. The study used 15 samples from Ettawa Crossbred Goat in Sungai Langka Village Gedong Tataan District Pesawaran Regency. Parameters of microbiologic status observed total plate count, coliform, and E. coli. The result showed that 26,67% or 4 samples (KU-3, TH-1, TH-2, and TH-3) of milk sample had total plate count (TPC) excess of standard SNI, 83,33% or 11 samples of milk (Y-2, Y-3, KU-1, KU-4, TH-1, TH-2, TH-3, ED-1, ED-2 BD-1, and SK-1) had coliform excess of standard SNI, and 13,33% of milk sample had E.coli. Standard used the National Standardization Agency (NSA) 7388:2009 about the maximum limit of microbial contamination in milk. PENGARUH LEVEL PROTEIN PAKAN YANG BERBEDA PADA MASA STARTER TERHADAP PENAMPILAN AYAM KAMPUNG SUPER
The experiment was conducted to study the effects of different starter dietary protein levels (0-8 weeks) on performance and carcass production of super native chicken. P1 used starter broiler. P2 and P3 diets were formulated in which the dried bakery product was incorporated at levels 20 and 40% with essential amino acid (EEA) correction to determine whether EAA correction of a lower protein diet would enhance performance. Fourty eight unsexed day old chicken were randomly divided into 3 groups of treatment in 4 replications and consisted of 4 bird each. The chickens were kept up to 8 weeks receiving 3 ration treatments i.e. crude protein levels of 21,13% (P1),18,77% corrected with EEA (P2), and 16,42% corrected with EEA (P3). The collected data were analysed by a one way classification of variance analysis, followed by testing the significant means by Duncan’s Multiple Range Test. The result of the experiment showed that lowering the level of protein in the diet had very significant (P<0.01) effects on feed intake, body weight gain, feed conversion, final body weight, protein intake, protein efficiency ratio (PER), energy intake, energy efficiency ratio (EER), male liveweight, fat content of breast meat, and had significant effect (P<0.05) on male carcass weight. STATUS NUTRIEN SAPI PERANAKAN ONGOLE DI KECAMATAN TANJUNG BINTANG KABUPATEN LAMPUNG SELATAN
This study was conducted in January 2015 in Tanjung Bintang District South Lampung Regency. This study aimed to determine the nutrient status of peranakan ongole cattle based on the feedstuff intake, nutrient content, and the management of feeding used by the peranakan ongole cattle farmers in Tanjung Bintang District. There were 50 farmers interviewed, came from two villages, such as Budi Lestari (25 farmers), and Jati Baru (25 farmers). This study used qualitative approach with survey method, then it was descriptively analyzed. The result of this study showed the feedstuff mostly in the form of pasture. Average dry matter intake was 8,21 kg/cow/day, even the dry matter need was 8,97 kg/cow/day, and average protein intake was 0,72 kg/cow/day, even the protein need was 1,08 kg/cow/day. Thus, nutrient status of peranakan ongole cattle in Tanjung Bintang District South Lampung Regency was stated undernourishied. EFEKTIVITAS TEPUNG BUNGA KECOMBRANG (Nicolaia Speciosa Horan) SEBAGAI PENGAWET TERHADAP ASPEK KIMIA DAGING AYAM BROILER
The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of kecombrang flower powder as a preservative on chemical aspects of broiler meat. This research was conducted in the Laboratory of Animal Production and Animal Nutrition Laboratory of the Department of Animal Husbandry, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Lampung. Treatment using a completely randomized design (CRD) with four treatments and five replications. The treatment consisted of concentration powder of kecombrang flower 0%, 2 %, 4 % and 6%. BNT test showed significant effet (P <0.05) on water content, and no significant effect (P >0.05) on the protein and fat content of broiler meat. EFEKTIVITAS TEPUNG BUNGA KECOMBRANG (Nicolaia speciosa Horan) SEBAGAI PENGAWET TERHADAP SIFAT FISIK DAGING BROILER
This study aims to: 1 ) study the effect of kecombrang (Nicolaia speciosa Horan) flower powder on the physical properties consistif of the texture , water holding capacity , and cooking loss meat broiler, 2) knowing the best dose kecombrang (Nicolaia speciosa Horan) flower powder as a preservative broiler meat . Research was conducted on 8 September 2015 in Laboratory Animal Production and Reproduction Univeritas Lampung while for the analysis of physical properties of broiler meat made on 9 September 2015 at the Laboratory of Agricultural Technology , Politeknik Negeri Lampung. The method used completely randomized design (CRD) , consisting of 4 treatments and 5 replications. Treatments are: 1) P0: 0% kecombrang flower powder rate; 2) P1: 2 % kecombrang flower powder; 3) P2: 4 % kecombrang flower powder; 4) P3: 6 % kecombrang flower powder. Data were analyzed variance at 5%. If the results of the analysis show real results , then the test continued with Least Significant Difference (LSD) at 5%. The results showed that administration of kecombrang flower powder on broiler meat significantly (P<0,05) water holding capacity and cooking losses and no significant effect (P > 0.05 ) on the texture. Award kecombrang flower powder at dose of 6% show broiler meat quality better when compared with other treatments.
