PENGARUH SEX RATIO AYAM ARAB TERHADAP FERTILITAS, DAYA TETAS, DAN BOBOT TETAS
This study aimed to determine (1) This effect of sex ratio arabic chicken on fertility, hatchibility , and doc weight and (2) to determine the best sex ratio of effect arabic chicken on fertility, hatchability, and doc weight. This study was conducted in August 2015 at Tegalrejo village, Gadingrejo districk, Pringsewu regency.The research use 144 arabic chicken consisted of 18 males and 126 females. This research use the complete randomized design with 3 treatments and 6 times replications. Every treatments use 8 of the arabic chiken eggs. The average of hatching egg weight is 42,96 ± 3,5g. The result shown that sex ratio effect is not significant (P>0,05) to fertility, hatchability, and doc weight arabic chicken. Keywords : Sex Ratio. EFEKTIVITAS TEPUNG BUNGA KECOMBRANG (Nicolaila speciosa Horan) SEBAGAI PENGAWET TERHADAP DAYA SUKA ORGANOLEPTIK DAGING BROILER
Kecombrang flower is a plant source of antioxidants that can be used as a natural preservative because they contain bioactive compounds such as polyphenols, alkaloids, flavonoids, steroids, saponins, and essential oils are thought to have potential as antioxidants. This study aims to determine the effect of adding kecombrang flower powder and optimum doses as a preservative on acceptence test of organoleptic (color, smell, flavor, and tenderness) broiler meat. This research was conducted at the Laboratory of Animal Production Department of Animal Husbandry, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Lampung and meat samples obtained from the Market Joints. Completely randomized design (CRD) is use with four treatments and twenty replications. Treatment in the form of additional kecombrang flower powder with doses of 0%; 2%; 4%; and 6%. The data were analyzed variance at 5% significance level and continued with Least Significant Difference test (LSD). These results indicate that administration of kecombrang flower powder at doses of 0%; 2%; 4%; and 6% had no significant effect (P> 0.05) to acceptance test of organoleptic (color, smell, flavor, and tenderness). PENGARUH SUBSTITUSI RUMPUT GAJAH DENGAN PELEPAH DAUN SAWIT TERHADAP KECERNAAN BAHAN KERING DAN ORGANIK, SERTA HUBUNGAN ANTARA KEDUA KECERNAAN PADA KAMBING
The research aimed to determine the effect of substitution between elephant grass with leaves midrib palm oil on dry matter intake, production of feces, digestibility of dry matter and organic; determine the effect of substitution of elephant gras and leaves midrib palm oil; and determine the relationship between digestibility of dry matter and orgnanic on goats.The research uses a randomized block design (RBD), with an average weight of goats 9-21 kg/headconsisting of three treatments with three replications ie R1 = 80% concentrate + 20% elephant grass, R2 = 80% concentrate + 20% leaves midrib of palm oil without fermentation, and R3 = 80% 5 concentrate + 20% fermented leaves midrib palm oil. The research was on October – November 2015, at the home Department of Animal Husbandry, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Lampung. The data obtained were analyzed using analysis of variance (ANOVA) on the real level of 5% or 1%. If the treatment shows the real effect, then do a further test Duncan at 5% or 1%. Regression to determine the relationship between dry matter digestibility and organic matter digestibility at the level of 5% or 1%.The results showed substitution elephant grass with leaves midrib palm oil not significant (p>0.05) on feed consumption, but significant (p <0.05) on the production of feces and highly significant (p <0.01) the digestibility dry matter and organic.The relationship between the dry matter and organic by the equation Ŷ = - 3.629 + 1,0249x, coefficient of determination (R2) 99.77%, and the value of the correlation (r) +0.9969. PERBANDINGAN KUALITAS EKSTERNAL TELUR AYAM RAS STRAIN ISA BROWN DAN LOHMANN BROWN
Laying chicken is a type of extremely popular poultry developed by small farmers. Laying chicken (layer) maintained by farmers were isa brown and lohmann brown strain. The purpose of this research was to compare between external quality of eggs (weight, shape index, and index egg) of isa brown and lohmann brown strain.This research were conducted in April 2015 at Mulawarman Laying Chicken Farm, Tegalsari village, Gadingrejo sub-district, Pringsewu district. The number of eggs observed in this research was 50 egs for isa brown strain and 50 egss for lohmann brown strain taken from the enclosure that contains 100 cages. Layer used in this research were 58 weeks. Weight and index egg obtained was analyzed by t student test in level of 5% and class of weight and shape egg by descriptive qualitative test. The results show weigths and index strains isa brown and lohmann brown were not significant (P>0,05). isa brown strain were extra large class of weight and on lohmann brown were a large class. POTENSI DAYA DUKUNG LIMBAH TANAMAN PALAWIJA SEBAGAI PAKAN TERNAK RUMINANSIA DI KABUPATEN PRINGSEWU
The aims of the research to determine the carrying capacity of waste by product and livestock based agriculture waste as feed for ruminants in District Pringsewu . This study used a survey method. The survey method used in this research is purposive sampling. Potential feed material is calculated based on the production of feed material multiplied by the area harvested and expressed in dry matter (DM ) , crude protein (CP ) and total digestible nutrients ( TDN ) . Forage samples obtained from taking snippets / tiling agricultural waste. The results showed that the production of waste in dry matter by BK , PK , and TDN respectively is 170 420 tonnes , 13 296 tonnes and 86 600 tonnes . Then the carrying capacity (DDLP ) based BK , PK , and TDN is 74 672 UT , UT 5519 and UT 55 195 . Total population of ruminants in District Pringsewu ( 20 804 UT ) can be met the needs of feed based on availability BK , and TDN . RESPON FISIOLOGIS ITIK MOJOSARI JANTAN DENGAN PEMBERIAN RANSUM BERKADAR PROTEIN KASAR BERBEDA
The purpose of this research is to investigate and evaluate of the physiological responses of Mojosari’s male ducks that given different levels of crude protein (16, 18, 20, or 22% from dry feed). This study has been conducted for 75 days at the Integrated Laboratory Department of Animal Husbandry, of the Agriculture Faculty of the University of Lampung. The total amount of male’s ducks about 48 animals consisted of 16 ducks that is placed in a different plots, so that each plot consists of three male ducks. The male’s ducks are divided into four treatments, which is giving feed in a different protein levels, 16 , 18 , 20 , and 22 % . Each treatment repeated four times. The design of this research using randomized block design and data obtained are analyzed. In conclusion, that ration with crude protein levels of 16, 18, 20, and 22% has no significant effect (P>0.05) on physiological responses of Mojosari’s male ducks and all ration treatment provides the same physiological response ducks on ration levels crude protein 16, 18, 20, and 22%. PENGARUH PENAMBAHAN JENIS BAHAN PAKAN SUMBER PROTEIN PADA RANSUM BERBASIS HIJAUAN KELAPA SAWIT TERHADAP KECERNAAN BAHAN KERING DAN BAHAN ORGANIK PADA KELINCI LOKAL JANTAN
The purpose of this study was to find out the effect of feed protein resources addition in ration based on waste and forage from palm tree against digestibleness of dry substance and organic substance in rabbit male local. This study uses a randomized group design with three treatments and four groups. Rabbits used were a local male rabbits with a body weight range group 1) 210- 250g, group 2) 260-300g, group 3) 310-350 g group 4) 360-400 g. The treatments were given in this study is R0 = basal diet (0.3% of palm fibers, palm leaf green 0.7% and 27% of palm tree’s oil cake, bran 32%, corn 40%), R1 = R0 + 15% cassava leaves, R2 = R1 + 3% chicken feather meal. Data`s were tested using analysis of variance and continued with Least Significant Difference test. The results showed that the addition of feed protein resources addition in the ration, based on waste and palm tree’s forage significantly affect on digestibility of dry substance and organic substance in rabbit male local. Forage-based feed waste and palm tree plus hydrolyzed protein source from chicken feather meal (R2) were the best treatment for digestibleness of dry substance and organic substance of local male rabbits. PENGARUH RANSUM BERKADAR PROTEIN KASAR BERBEDA TERHADAP JUMLAH ERITROSIT, KADAR HAEMOGLOBIN, DAN HEMATOKRIT ITIK JANTAN
This study aims to look at the number of erythrocytes, hemoglobin, and hematocrit drake of Mojosari Ducks given ration different levels of crude protein. This study was conducted three months from September 2015 to November 2015 held at the Laboratory of Animal Nutrition and Feed and enclosure Integrated Laboratory of the University of Lampung. Number of male ducks were used as many as 48 animals with 16 plots the number of cages, with each needs plots containing three male ducks. The process of data collection and research carried out at the end of each treatment taken one male ducks only. The experimental design used is Design Group. Grouping based on body weight. In the first group with body weight (150-175 g), second group (176-200 g), third group (201-225), fourth group (300-324). Ducks were divided into four treatment diets with different crude protein content, 16, 18, 20, 22%. Based on the results of this study concluded that the levels of crude protein ration was not significantly different (P> 0.05) to the number of erythrocytes, hemoglobin, and hematocrit drake. SELEKSI INDUK KAMBING BOERAWA GRADE 1 DAN 2 BERDASARKAN NILAI MOST PROBABLE PRODUCING ABILITY BOBOT ANAK UMUR ENAM BULAN
The aim of this research was to compare MPPA value for 6 months body weight (6 MBW) of 30 heads Boerawa grade 1 (BG1) and 30 heads Boerawa grade 2 (BG2) does and to determine ten heads of the best BG2 does as replacement stock. Research was conducted by survey method at Karya Makmur-1, Karya Makmur-II, and Pelita Karya-III goat farmer groups located at Wonoharjo village, Sumberejo subregency, Tanggamus regency, Lampung province. Sample observed was selected by purposive sampling. Variables observed were 6 MBW of offspring group of BG1 does and BG2 does at the first and second parity. The variables was analysed to know repeatability value and MPPA value for 6 MBW. Repeatability value were estimated by interclass correlation method, MPPA value of BG1 and BG2 was analysed by t student test. Result of this research indicated 6 MBW of offspring group of BG1 does (20.57 ± 1.12 kg) was not different (P>0.05) with the offspring group of BG2 does (22.70 ± 1.06 kg), repeatability value of BG1 and BG2 were 0.29 and 0.33, respectively, MPPA value of BG1 (20.57 kg) were not different (P>0,05) with BG2 (22.70 kg). It could be concluded that genetic potency of BG1 does and BG2 does was not different and the best ten BG2 does were JJ2 (MPPA 23.49 kg), DD3 (23.42 kg), LL1 (23.40 kg), JJ1 (23.32 kg), BB3 (23.29 kg), GG1 (23.27 kg), AA1 (23.14 kg), EE2 (23.08 kg), AA2 (2.05 kg), and GG2 (23.05 kg). STATUS MIKROBIOLOGIS DAGING BROILER DI PASAR TRADISIONAL KABUPATEN PRINGSEWU

Laying chicken (layerThis research aimed to determinemicrobiologic status observation on the broiler chicken of the traditional markets in the regency of Pringsewu. The study was conducted from September—October 2015 in the Laboratory Veteriner Office of Lampung. The study used a random sampling technique and used 20 samplesfrom 7 traditional markets.Parameters of microbiologic status observed total plate count, E. coli, dan Salmonella sp..Microbiologic status data were analyzed using binomial test concern their each parameters. The result showed that total plate count (TPC), Salmonella sp.and E.coli was not excess with standard. The broiler chicken microbiology status of the traditional markets in Pringsewu regency was not excess with benchmarks published by the National Standardization Agency (NSA) 7388:2009.
