Full text linkPicasa biasa juga disebut Picasa Web Album. Picasa ini miliknya Google, menyediakan tempat free hosting sebesar 1 GB. Jika kita membuat web di blogger.com (hosting blog milik Google) maka setiap foto yang diunggah ke blog semuanya akan disimpan di Picasa Web Albums. Hal ini banyak yang belum diketahui oleh para blogger. Kelebihannya, di Picasa kita bisa menghapus file fotonya dan memberi nama albumnya. URL foto di Picasa juga bisa kita pakai pada semua platform blog seperti Wordpress, IPB blog staff dan lain-lain
Tingkat Kepuasan Pemustaka Terhadap Mutu Pelayanan Perpustakaan Berbasis Sistem Manajemen Mutu ISO 9001:2008
Full text linkPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui sejauhmana tingkat kepuasan pemustaka terhadap mutu pelayanan perpustakaan menurut perhitungan Indeks Kepuasan Pengguna dan Importance Performance Analysis, tingkat kepuasan pemustaka secara keseluruhan, dan jenis pelayanan apa yang biasa dimanfaatkan oleh pemustaka, serta berbagai kendala apa saja yang dihadapi pemustaka dalam memanfaatkan pelayanan perpustakaan setelah diimplementasikannya sistem manajemen mutu ISO 9001:2008 di Perpustakaan IPB. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah survey. Pengukuran variabel penelitian menggunakan metode LibQual+TM dan Skala Likert. Data yang diperoleh dari hasil penelitian dianalisa dengan Statistik Deskriptif, Indek Kepuasan Pengguna, dan Importance Performance Analysis. Sampel penelitian ini adalah pemustaka yang datang langsung ke Perpustakaan IPB berjumlah 105 orang. Tingkat kepuasan pemustaka terhadap mutu pelayanan perpustakaan menurut perhitungan Indeks Kepuasan Pengguna mengindikasikan pemustaka merasa puas sedangkan menurut perhitungan Importance Performance Analysis pemustaka merasa sangat puas sekali walaupun belum maksimal karena masih terdapat kesenjangan (gap) namun relatif kecil. Tingkat kepuasan pemustaka terhadap keseluruhan jenis pelayanan yang tersedia di Perpustakaan IPB mengindikasikan pemustaka merasa puas. Jenis pelayanan yang biasa dimanfaatkan oleh pemustaka Perpustakaan IPB adalah jenis pelayanan ruang baca dan pelayanan akses internet atau layanan digital. Kendala yang dihadapi pemustaka ketika memanfaatkan jasa pelayanan di Perpustakaan IPB yaitu: mengalami akses internet lambat dan mengalami kesulitan dalam menemukan literatur yang dibutuhkan.Kata Kunci: User satisfaction index, LibQual+TM , information search behavior, Importance Performance Analysi
Pengembangan Sistem Pencarian OPAC Berbasis Social Shopping
Full text linkOPAC searching system is developed with the main goal is to facilitate searching information as well as giving the relevant information to the searchers or browsers. Technology web 2.0 facilitate the internet users to interact widely, share idea/information or give comment to one content. The high product selling is influenced by one of the factors, that is, the recommendation from other people or community. Therefore, it can be the opportunity for the librarians to develop OPAC searching system with adopt the technology web 2.0. The users can directly customize and personalize the library services based on the experience of OPAC system. Feedback system with the feature relevance feedback on OPAC means that the users are given space to give input or other information on the searching results, so the document needed is the most relevant document to the users’ needs. Hybrid recommendations feature on OPAC, means the users are given space to get the seraching results based on the similar interest among the other users (content based filtering); and the searching results are also based on the recomemendation with the greatest or the highest rating (collaborative filtering). The library needs to provide user profile, in order to be the basic of the hybrid recommendations feature development. Searching system with the hybrid recommendation feature and relevance feedback which are adopted from social shopping can be the guidance to develop OPAC searching system based on the technology web 2.0 in the future. Recommendation system which is built can increase the collection use, the source of evaluation to develop collections, information system as well as the library services.Keywords: OPAC, feedback, personalization, relevance feedback, web 2.0, social shopping, hybrid recommendations.
Penguatan Peran Perpustakaan Dalam Komunikasi Ilmiah (Scholarly Communication) Di Lingkungan Akademik
Full text linkScholarly communication and academic environment are interelated and interdependent to each other. Academic environment is where scholars consisting of faculty members, researchers and student meet. They produce most of scholarly writing and access to scholay resources as their references. They are both author and reader components. In library perspective, they are users. Libraries in academic environment will function well in the support of information technology. Information technology supports scholarly communication as well. Internet, if you like, has provided a significant support on scholarly communication process. Access to scientific writings in any formats is easier and faster using internet than other tools. Searching current articles and sending email to authors can be done directly in second. It is clear that the use of information technology is a must in supporting scholarly communication. Library as an established institution that has long supported scholarly communication needs continues reformation. Sustainable action of reform to scholarly communications have to be done. There are many factors to be paid attention to such as university policies; partnership between library and working units in university; involvement of civitas academica; use of handbook; information library sites; human resources development.Keywords: Scholarly Communication, Academic Environment, Information Technology, Librar
Aksesibilitas Informasi Ilmiah Science Direct Pustaka Ristek Di Lingkungan Ristek Dan Lpnk
Full text linkKajian ini membahas tentang ketersediaan dan keteraksesan informasi ilmiah berupa artikel jurnal full text pada database ScienceDirect yang dilanggan oleh Ristek dan terintegrasi pada Portal Pustaka Ristek. Pada Portal Pustaka Ristek terdapat sepuluh database ilmiah internasional, yaitu: ScinceDirect, Ebsco, Cengange Learning, IHS The Source, IGI Global, Ebrary, Proquest, dan IEEE, ACM Digital Library, Knovel (trial sekitar 1 bulan), serta dua database indeks sitasi karya ilmiah yaitu Thomson Reuters dan Scopus.Tujuan kajian ini untuk mengetahui sumber-sumber informasi ScienceDirect Pustaka Ristek, jumlah artikel dan topik jurnal full text yang telah diunduh oleh Ristek dan LPNK. Hasil kajian yaitu Ristek melanggan artikel jurnal full text ScienceDirect sebagian besar bidang sains dan teknologi. Hal tersebut berdasarkan pada ke empat bidang ilmu yang dilanggan Ristek yaitu Physhical Sciences and Engineering (8827 judul), Life Sciences (4784 judul), Health Sciences (4776 judul), dan Social Sciences and Humanities (3509 judul). Dari ke sepuluh instansi yang mengakses konten artikel jurnal ScienceDirect (Ristek, LIPI, BAPETEN, BPPT, BATAN, LAPAN, BAKOSURTANAL, BSN, PUSPITEK, dan Administrator), diketahui LIPI merupakan instansi yang mengakses konten artikel jurnal full text ScienceDirect terbanyak, yaitu mengunduh sebanyak 115.504 artikel, dan PUSPITEK merupakan pengunduh artikel jurnal full text ScienceDirect paling sedikit yaitu sebanyak 855 artikel selama tiga tahun.Kata Kunci: Information Resources; Scientific Information; International Databases; ScienceDirect; Pustaka Ristek Portal; Research Institutional

To provide a more reliable, understandable, reusable, and maintainable academic information systems, Graduate School of IPB needs to improve the quality of its IT. Development of information systems (IS) through the proper stages of analysis and design expected to create a reliable and qualified IS. This research will evaluate the effectiveness of Academic Management IS. An evaluation conducted by observing the current system, using questionnaires, and measurement using a Likert scale. Questionnaire instrument tested for its validity (Product Moment) and reliability (Cronbach\u27s Alpha) using SPSS version 19. Full text linkABSTRACT Advances in information and communication technology these days has affected to the library\u27s collection. Today’s [U1] library collection is not only in printed media such as books and journals but also in the non printed media. As these changes, this study aims to determine the management of multimedia collections in Technical Implementation Unit for Technological Informasion Division - Indonesian Institute of Sciences\u27 library. From the reserach results revealed that the multimedia collection owned by the libraries is 208 titles. The procurement of multimedia collection is done by self-producing. Multimedia collection processing has been carried out in accordance with cataloging rules, but to date this research, the number is still as many as 117 titles. For further purpose, a video corner has been provided, for the visitors play the collection of packaging VCD/DVD with a video player. EVALUASI DAN RANCANGAN SISTEM E-GOVERNMENT REPOSITORY PRODUK HUKUM SEBAGAI IMPLEMENTASI FUNGSI DEPOSIT DI PERPUSTAKAAN NASIONAL RI
Full text linkAbstrak Perkembangan teknologi informasi telah tatanan birokrasi di Indonesia sehingga membuat Pemerintah harus mengadopsi perkembangan teknologi informasi melalui layanan berbasis e-government. Perpustakaan Nasional RI merupakan lembaga pemerintah yang melaksanakan layanan publik informasi terbitan pemerintah di bidang hukum berdasarkan UU Deposit. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mendapatkah rancangan sistem e-government melalui repository hukum peraturan perundang-undangan yang lebih terstruktur, lebih mudah ditemukan, lebih fleksibel dalam pencarian serta terintegrasi sehingga termutakhirkan. Metodologi penelitian yang digunakan adalah dengan mengevaluasi repository hukum pada 12 kementerian 10 lembaga non kementerian, 4 provinsi dan 8 kabupaten kota dengan melakukan uji terhadap komponen human computer interaction, uji interoperabilitas dan uji manajemen repository institusi. Hasil penelitian penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) aspek human computer interaction masih belum mengikuti standar internasional , (2) aspek interoperabilitas belum mengikuti standar metadata repository institusi, (3) pada aspek manajemen repository ditemukan belum adanya efektifitas dalam mengolah konten informasi dan aspek usablity portal. Berdasarkan penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan nahwa portal e-government layanan terbitan hukum yang ada saat ini belum efisien, efektif serta belum terintegrasi. Perancangan sistem dilakukan dengan desain sistem yang sesuai standar melalui perancangan ulang proses bisnis dan desain antar muka sistem.
