    Pembaruan Aplikasi Paperless Office Universitas Syiah Kuala

    Paperless Office (PLO) is a web-based application that was created to facilitate digital office communication such as sending memos, letters, and posting news. It was initially created by Bambang Prastowo from Universitas Gajah Mada. The goals of using PLO are to reduce paper usage, speed up internal communication, and to simplify the management of correspondence in digital form. Syiah Kuala University (Unsyiah) has implemented PLO since early 2013. This paper aims to analyze the level of activity and users satisfaction of the renew PLO. The renew is done by making the web application more responsive and adding new features that do not exist in the earlier version. The results show that users satisfaction level increases, observed from system quality, information, and services. Variables that affect the level of activity, based on Pearson and Spearman correlations, are X1, X13,X20,X33, X36,X38, andX43, while the variables that affect the level of users satisfaction are X42 and X44

    Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) applies information and communication technologies for transportation management. The problem in the study is the importance of computer vision tools to determine the volume of traffic on the highway. The design of computer vision device is performed using a static camera and the bounding box method for determining the traffic volume based on vehicle type, namely light vehicles, heavy vehicles (trucks) and motorcycles that are applied on the Gaussian Mixture Models (GMM). The classification is based on the pixel area of vehicle objects. The tests were carried out at Jalan T. Nyak Arief, Jambotape, Banda Aceh. The test results of the system achieved an accuracy of 79.32%

    The existence of distributed generation (DG) has improved voltage regulation, but it reverses power factor and network losses on Dolok Sanggul distribution system. The operation scheme and the lenght of interconnection facility of DG have caused the increase reactive power flow on distribution system. The increase in reactive power flow could be compensated by the installment of shunt capacitor. Optimal Capacitor Placement ETAP Power Station with the objective function is to minimize the cost of distribution system was used to search the placement and the size of shunt capacitor in the interconnection facility of DG.     Analisis dan Simulasi Video Watermarking Menggunakan Metode Dual Tree Complex Wavelet Transform (DT-CWT) dan Singular Value Decomposition (SVD)

    Video piracy is the act of obtaining, copying, and selling or distributing videos that already had the copyright without the consent of the copyright owner. Watermarking is a process which embeds an additional information in the host video signal so that the embedded watermark cannot be seen and difficult to be erased or altered. Video watermarking in this journal used a mp4 format video and two different watermark images. Host video frames are divided into two equal lots, some of the frames are embedded by watermark image 1, and the others are embedded by watermark images 2. The methods used are Dual-Tree Complex Wavelet Transform (DTCWT) and Singular Value Decomposition (SVD). The two watermarks are embedded and extracted in each subband at a depth level 1 to level 4 DTCWT - SVD with the aim of seeking the best subband and the best level for embedding and extracting. In the extraction testing, watermarked video is given several attacks before extraction process. Based onthe MOS and PSNR value the DTCWT-SVD level for embedding process is level 4, and based on the MOS and MSE value, the best extraction images are produced from the level 3. The best subband for embedding watermark are the subbands with three parts such as {1,5}{1,1}{1,2} and {1,5}{1,2}{1,2}

    Peningkatan Sistem Keamanan Autentikasi Single Sign On (SSO) Menggunakan Algoritma AES dan One-Time Password Studi Kasus: SSO Universitas Ubudiyah Indonesia

    Single Sign On (SSO) merupakan model autentikasi independen yang diimplementasikan Universitas Ubudiyah Indonesia (UUI) menggunakan Message-Digest Algorithm 5 (MD5) dan web service NuSOAP berbasis bahasa pemograman PHP. Sistem ini berjalan pada protokol Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP). Faktanya penggunaan protokol HTTP ini sangat rentan terhadap berbagai jenis serangan karena data dikirim dalam bentuk plaintext tanpa ada proses enkripsi dan penerapan algoritma MD5 pada autentikasi login juga rentan terhadap serangan dictionary attacks dan rainbow tables. Disisi lain, Penggunaan web service NuSOAP juga menciptakan celah keamanan karena pengiriman dan penerimaan payload tidak dienkripsi. Saat ini diketahui sudah ada beberapa metode yang dapat digunakan untuk meningkatkan pengamanan kerentanan tersebut diantaranya yaitu menggunakan Hypertext Transfer Protocol Secure (HTTPS), Secure Hypertext Transfer Protocol (SHTTP) dan Completely Automated Public Turing test to tell Computers and Humans Apart (CAPTCHA). Namun beberapa hasil penelitian terkait memperlihatkan masih terdapat beberapa kelemahan dari penggunaan HTTPS, SHTTP dan CAPTCHA. Penelitian ini mengusulkan penggunaan algoritma Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) dengan pembangkit kunci dinamis dan metode One-Time Password (OTP) berbasis sinkronisasi waktu dengan kombinasi salt untuk meningkatkan keamanan pada autentikasi SSO UUI. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan penerapan algoritma AES dan OTP dapat mengamankan proses autentikasi SSO dari serangan dictionary attack dan rainbow table

    Fifteen level single phase multilevel inverter is constructed using power circuit consist of 7 MOSFETs, seven independents DC sources, seven diodes, and an H-Bridge circuit. Switching method used in this MLI is sinusoidal pulse width modulation (SPWM) multicarrier where the reference wave in the form of a sinusoidal wave. Multicarrier SPWM circuit is designed using electronic components such as Op-Amp that used as a comparator and some logic gates such as AND, OR and NOT gate to trigger S1, S2, S3, S4, S5, S6, S7, and H-Bridge circuit. Carrier waves used in this MLI modified from the triangle wave that having a frequency into carrier waves without frequency (DC sources) where THD that generated into 5.502%. While methods that use frequency such as Phase Disposition PWM (PD PWM), Phase Shift PWM (PS-PWM), and Carrier Overlapping PWM (CO PWM) that produces THD greater than the proposed method, this system was simulated using PSIM software.Abstract Fifteen level single phase multilevel inverter is constructed using power circuit consist of 7 MOSFETs as switch, 7 indevendent DC sources, 7 diodes, and a H-Bridge. Trigering technic using sinusoidal pulse width modulation (SPWM) with 14 carrier wave, which pure sinusoidal wave as reference, SPWM circuit is disained using Op-Amp as comparator and some logic gates such as AND, OR and NOT gate in order to triggering S1, S2, S3, S4, S5, S6 and S7. By modificated carrier wave from triangular into DC source wave, this MLI produces THD output wave equal to 5.5019684%, while using methodes Phase Disposition PWM (PD PWM), Phase Shift PWM (PS PWM), and Carrier Overlapping PWM (CO PWM) produces THD more than proposed method, this system simulated using PSIM program.Keywords: Multilevel Inverter, SPWM, THD, PSI

    High traffic densitiy becomes one of a big problem of transportation in many big developing cities in Indonesia. The growth number of vehicles relatively much higher if compared to the growth of road infrastructure. Banda Aceh as a central city of Aceh Province are also facing moreless the same transportation problem,where traffic becomes very usual especially in peak hour in the morning when many people start their activity. It also happened in the afternoon when most of Banda Aceh people especially the one who work as a government servant going back from work. This research is trying to analyze one of the case of daily going to work travel route of Unsyiah administration staf. The result is very important to analyze the best departure time for the staff to minimize travel time. This research have developed a simulation model using an IT technology based on vehicle traffic mobility model. The simulation offered the fastest travel time solution with the best departure time to arrive at the destination by avoiding morning peak time traffic

    The use of computer technology in manufacturing industries can improve manufacturing flexibility significantly, especially in manufacturing processes; many software applications have been utilized to improve machining performance. However, none of them has discussed the abilities to perform direct machining. In this paper, an integrated system for remote operation and monitoring of Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machines is put into consideration. The integrated system includes computerization, network technology, and improved holding mechanism. The work proposed by this research is mainly on the software development for such integrated system. It uses Java three-dimensional (3D) programming and Virtual Reality Modeling Language (VRML) at the client side for visualization of machining environment. This research is aimed at developing a control system to remotely operate and monitor a self-reconfiguration fixture mechanism of a CNC milling machine through internet connection and integration of Personal Computer (PC)-based CNC controller, a server side, a client side and CNC milling. The performance of the developed system was evaluated by testing with one type of common protocols particularly User Datagram Protocol (UDP). Using UDP, the developed system requires 3.9 seconds to complete the close clamping, less than 1 second to release the clamping and it can deliver 463 KiloByte

    This journal discusses about the analysis of frequency transition deviation of power frequency controlsystem with Optimal control methods. The response of frequency transition deviation of power frequency controlsystem is one of indicator in the performance of the power system during disturbances. These disturbances causechanges in the parameters value which result in power frequency control system will be disrupted and resulted systemis not able to work normally after the disturbances. One of disturbance often occurs in power system is a suddenload changes. Sudden load changes cause of decreasing or increasing in the value of frequencies around the centerof its operations. By using the optimal control method consists of Linear Quadratic Regulator (LQR) method andLinear Quadratic Regulator with weights function on the output (LQRy) are analyzed frequency transition deviationof power frequency control system type of Non-Reheat, Reheat and Hydraulic. The results obtained for the LinearQuadratic Regulator (LQR) method, the power frequency control system type of NonReheat has the smallest valuesof the transition parameter at the values of the transition parameter power frequency control system type of Reheatand Hydraulic. The values of the transition parameter power frequency control system type of Non-Reheat are 0.1266seconds in time rise, 0.3451 seconds in settling time, 0.3451 seconds in peak time, 3.1972% in maximum overshoot and0.0069 in peak value. For the Linear Quadratic Regulator method with weights function on the output (LQRy) powerfrequency control system type of Hydraulic has the smallest values of the transition parameter compared with the values of the transition parameter power frequency control system type of Non-Reheat and Reheat. The values of the transition parameter power frequency control system type of Hydraulic are 0.0451 seconds in time rise, 0.0731 secondsin settling time, 0.1300 seconds in peak time, 0.0531% in maximum overshoot and 0.0032 in peak value
