    Komputasi Aliran Daya Optimal Sistem Tenaga Skala Besar dengan Metode Primal Dual Interior Point

    This paper focuses on the use of Primal Dual Interior Point method in the analysis of optimal power flow.Optimal power flow analysis with Primal Dual Interior Point method then compared with Linear ProgrammingMethod using Matpower program. The simulation results show that the computation results of Primal Dual InteriorPoint similar with Linear Programming Method for total cost of generation and large power generated by eachpower plant. But in terms of computation time Primal Dual Interior Point method is faster than the method of LinearProgramming, especially for large systems. Primal Dual Interior Point method have solved the problem in 40.59seconds, while Linear Programming method takes longer 239.72 seconds for large-scale system 9241 bus. This isbecause the settlement PDIP algorithm starts from the starting point x0, which is located within the area of feasiblemove towards the optimal point, in contrast to the simplex method that moves along the border of the feasible fromone extreme point to the other extreme point. Thus Primal Dual Interior Point method have more efficient in solvingoptimal power flow problem of large-scale power systems

    A bridge is planned and built with a certain capability against vehicles through it. The vehicles movementcauses vibration and vertical deflection on certain parts of the bridge. If the vibration occurs continuously in a greatvalue, then the bridge will be damaged sooner than had been planned. This research reports a design of a verticaldeflection measuring system prototype on bridge, employing an accelerometer MMA7361 sensor which is controlledby ATmega32. The system was tested by manually loading the trial bridge with 1 m of length. The loading deflectsdown the bridge to maximum 15 cm from the reference point. Sensor readout data was sent wirelessly using ZigBeereal time to computer in a graphical display for easy analysis. The research give an alternative method in verticaldeflection measuring on the bridge that can be utilized by stakeholder in policy decision

    Fishing ground or fishing zone is a waters area which become a destination for fishing. Theprediction of fishing zone can be done by detecting chlorophyll-a and sea surface temperature distribution of AquaMODIS Imagery. The aim of this study is to predict fishing zone on the waters of Pulo Aceh based on the chlorophylldistribution and sea surface temperature by utilizing the data of Aqua MODIS Satellite Imagery level 3. The stagesof this study included collecting imagery, cutting the image according to the desired area, giving lands mark todisplay a more informative image, extracting information of chlorophyll-a and the distribution of sea surfacetemperature, and interpolating by using Kriging method. The highest distribution of chlorophyll-a happened in Juneand August, the spread moved from the the North Pulo Aceh to the South. The distribution of sea surfacetemperature that suitable for fishing was detected in August around the North Ujung Pulo Breuh and around pulauKeureusik. The potential zone of fishing on the waters of Pulo Aceh was only detected in August in the eastern ofpulau Keureusik to Ujong Keumuroh. Pulo Aceh waters is suitable for fishing destination in August

    Monitoring the output parameters of a solar module is required for assessing its performance under real operating conditions. This paper presents a new technique for monitoring the output parameters i.e. current and voltage of solar module directly under real operating conditions. In this new monitoring technique, the output parameters of a solar module can be directly processed in real time condition and their results are displayed in a graph. The monitoring system is developed using microprocessor Arduino Atmega 328P and equipped with calibrated current and voltage sensors, a data acquisition system which is integrated directly into an Excel spreadsheet using the PLX-DAQ application program and a memory card for backup. The monitoring system is connected to a computer using a RS232 serial port. The collected data is saved directly into a spreadsheet and plotted in real time. This technique provides an easy access to the collected data for further analysis

    The increasing number of customers and the need for reliable communication require the availability of coverage, sufficient capacity and good quality of mobile communications networks. New BTS implementation is required to cover a wider area with good network quality. However, it often requires high cost and long time to get permission from the government and local residents. Swap and Modernization Project is a project that swap the previous 3G equipment using BTS 3900 Huawei with Ericsson RBS 6000 and modernize the 2G RBS 2000 to RBS 6000 and then carry out parameter settings to optimize the network. In this paper, we report the results of mobile network performance after Swap and Modernization projects had been done in terms of the signal strength improvements, which are showed by Rx Level, RSCP and CDD Dump parameters. The study was conducted in PT XL Axiata Northern Areas of Central Java with D5 cluster as a sample. The results show improvement of Rx Level that increased by 89.93 %, and RSCP value increased by 58.36 %. The swap and modernization of the BTS and parameter settings are able to improve CDD Dump parameters. These improvements are able to expand the coverage area of cluster D5 sites

    Besides the ingredient composition, another important thing in the process of making dough is proofing, ie. dough rising process prior to roasting process. Proofing process requires a stable temperature to ensure that the dough is well rising. The purpose of this research is to make a proofing machine that uses DHT11 as a temperature sensor. Proportional-Integral-Derivative (PID) controller is implemented to guarantee that the machine remains at the temperature of 350Celcius, in which the fermentation process would success. PID control has been implemented in fluorescent lamp which been set its dim light to generate heat until it reach a predetermined set point value. The temperature was monitored using LCD and set to remain stable with the help of fan. The proofing process will last for 15 minutes which ended by the sound of the buzzer. The testing result shows that the value of , , will reach set point value within 120 seconds

    Analisis Kinerja MySQL Cluster Menggunakan Metode Load Balancing

    Information system and data is a very important thing nowadays. An information system especiallya database is designed with a high data availability. One of the database systems is MySQL cluster. Sometimes,its performance decreased because of the systems incapablity to handle the data. To overcome this problem, theresearch of load balancing systems for MySQL cluster is needed. This research is intended to analyze the effect of loadbalancing clustering methods on MySQL cluster which by default has been set as failover clustering. The analysis isdone through data collection and database transactions test to get the number of Transactions per second (TPS) andresponse time parameter using SysBench. The test is divided into two main scenarios, the simple and complex-modethat running on 4 computers. The tests were conducted by giving workloads from 8 up to 128 threads respectivelyto the server through a client on default conditions and load balancing. The test results showed the number of TPSat MySQL cluster default is 536.61. In contrast, number of TPS at load balancing is better at 2261.22. Likewise, theresponse time at MySQL cluster load balancing is 147.55 ms faster than that of the default one at 335.00 ms

    In video transmission, there is a possibility of packet lost an d a large load variation on the bandwidth. These are the source of network congestion, which can interfere the communication data rate. This study discusses a system to overcome the congestion with Signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) scalability-based approach, for the video sequence encoding method into two layers, which is a solution to decrease encoding mode for each packet and channel coding rate. The goal is to minimize any distortion from the source to the destination. The coding system used is a video coding standards that is MPEG-2 or H.263 with SNR scalability. The algorithm used for motion compensation, temporal redundancy and spatial redundancy is the Discrete Cosine Transform (DCT) and quantization. The transmission error is simulated by adding Gaussian noise (error) on motion vectors. From the simulation results, the SNR and Peak Signal to Noise Ratio (PSNR) in the noisy video frames decline with averages of 3dB and 4dB respectively

    Computer or Personal Computer (PC) based data acquisition system had enabled the measurement of physical parameters, not only to display and store them in the computer but also to send them to a website. Twitter as one of web services for social media that provides the facility to display 140-character length of text status has been deemed sufficient for the purpose of displaying the latest data and is accessible through available Application Programming Interface (API). The purpose of this research is to design a PC-based data acquisition system which is capable to conduct measurement, storage and transmission of data to the web service via Twitter API. The proposed system was consisted of LM35 temperature sensor to measure room temperature, Arduino Nano microcontroller and a data acquisition application in PC to display and store data in a Comma-Separated Values (CSV) file. Based on test results for processes involving Analog to Digital Converter (ADC), the obtained error is 3.71% for voltage value and the average difference between measured values and displayed ones is 0.01 V. Average error for temperature measurement is 5.13% and the difference between measured values and the displayed ones is 1.34C. Built application had produced an adequate display of interface and fulfilled all required functionalities. Average response time of Twitter API to Choreo is 0.18 s while average time to transmit data from application to Twitter is 2.15 s or 11.75 times longer. In later development, LM35 should be replaced with a more precise sensor. The occurrence of randomness in measurement results could be minimized by adding an active filter circuit between sensor and microcontroller

    In the industry era, especially the oil processing industry, the heat exchanger is needed to regulatetemperature and produce oil products such as petroleum, kerosene and diesel fuel. In the operation, the heatexchanger requires maintenance, especially when the minor unit is shut down or stop and routine reparation.Maintenance is done by replacing the tubesheet that commonly referred to as bundle retube where there are pipefritter to be cleaned, which are cutted at the time of maintenance. This maintenance is typically done in manualapproach, which is not efficient in terms of time. For a more efficient maintanence, this paper proposes a prototypedesign to discard these pipes fritter by utilizing image processing method for detecting the edge of the circle and theposition of the pipe fritter. Based on the experiments, it has been obtained that the test circle radius that can becaptured is at 4 to 10 pixels. The longest time for positioning was 2.41 minutes and the whole process of disposal ofthis pipeline reaches 47.92 %
