Nekrasov-Shatashvili limit of the 5D superconformal index
No full textWe consider the Nekrasov-Shatashvili (NS) limit of the five-dimensional superconformal
index and propose a novel prescription for selecting the finite contributions. Applying the
latter to various examples of U(1) theories, we find that the 5D NS index can be reproduced
using recent techniques of C´ordova and Shao, who related the 4D Schur index to the BPS
spectrum of the theory on the Coulomb branch. In this picture, the 5D instanton solitons
are interpreted as additional flavour nodes in an associated 5D BPS quiver

de bienestar o estrés animal es más complicado
de lo que parece. Se han realizado
grandes esfuerzos por incrementar los
conocimientos en este campo, especialmente
en los animales de granja. Los expertos
defienden la aplicación de sistemas
de evaluación de múltiples criterios
o “multi-criteria” (alojamiento, sanitarios,
comportamiento) para valorar el nivel de
bienestar en distintas especies . No obstante, la mayor limitación
de este tipo de medidas es que
se basan principalmente en valoraciones
en grupo, por lo que no tienen en cuenta
la variabilidad individual en la susceptibilidad
al estrés

No full textGraphene patterning by nanosecond laser ablation: the effect of the substrate interaction with graphene
No full textThis paper focuses on the development of patterned graphene/substrate by means of green nanosecond pulse laser irradiation. Monolayer graphene samples supported on a Si/SiO2 substrate were patterned using 532 nm laser irradiation under fluence conditions ranging from 31 mJ cm−2 to 4240 mJ cm−2. Raman spectroscopy was used to investigate the effect of laser irradiation on the graphene. It was found that at 356 mJ cm−2 selective ablation of the graphene occurs. However, at fluence values above 1030 mJ cm−2 (when damage to the substrate is observed) no ablation of the graphene takes place. In contrast, its graphenic structure was found to have been modified. Only at fluence values where the ablation of the substrate occurs, is graphene eliminated in an area almost equivalent to that of the ablated substrate. In this case, additional damage to the graphene sheet edges is produced. The increment in the number of oxygenated functional groups in these regions, as measured by x-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), suggests that this damage is probably caused by thermal phenomena during the ablation of the substrate.European Union’s Research Fund for Coal and Steel research program under Grant Agreement number RFCR-CT-2013-00006 and the European Union Seventh Framework Programme (FP7/ 2007-2013) under grant agreement nº 600849 (INSIDDE Project).
