This article proposes a study of poetic anthologies from theories of reading that have been proposed in literary studies and feminist literary theory. This conceptual framework allowsto pay attention to the relationships of appropriation that the anthologist establishes withthe selected poems, a perspective that has frequently been disregarded when these books are
considered as mere selections of poems. As the analysis of Josep Maria Castellet’s anthologies
shows, this point of view provides us with interesting keys to the study of the relationships
between women writers and anthologies, as it addresses the problem of making sense through
reading and fragmentation from the original ensemble.Programa Severo Ochoa (referencia PA-17-PF-BP16126)
When we analyse the movements that each finger does in order to play the different positions of the first octave of the instrument (E3 to E4), we can observe that the little finger does the 41.6% of the work. As well as having to fight the resistance of the most demanding and further located keys in the clarinet. The fifth finger is in charge of producing the vital sounds connecting the two largest registers in the clarinet (chalumeau and clarín).
These small fingers are anatomically the least strong and clarinetists tend not to pay enough attention to this reality. The study presented in this article have been formulated to tackle this issue, with the hope that musicians will gain on independence, strength, agility and coordination.

The RANKL receptor LGR4 contributes to PTH-induced vascular calcification.
BACKGROUND: In Chronic Kidney Disease serum phosphorus elevations stimulate PTH
production causing severe alterations in bone-vasculature axis. PTH is the main regulator of
Receptor activator of NFKB (RANK)/RANK ligand (RANKL)/osteoprotegerin (OPG) system,
essential for bone maintenance, which also plays an important role in vascular smooth
muscle cells (VSMCs) calcification. The discovery of a new RANKL receptor, leucine-rich
repeat-containing G-protein-coupled receptor 4 (LGR4), important for osteoblast
differentiation but with unknown role in VC, led us to examine LGR4 contribution in high
P/high PTH-driven vascular calcification (VC).
METHODS: In vivo studies were conducted in subtotally nephrectomized rats fed normal or
high phosphorus diet, with and without parathyroidectomy. Parathyroidectomized rat were
supplemented with PTH 1-34 to achieve physiological serum PTH levels). In vitro studies
were performed in rat aortic VSMCs cultured in control medium, calcifying medium (CM) or
CM plus 10-7 vs 10-9M PTH.
RESULTS: Rats fed high phosphorus, significantly increased aortic calcium content.
Similarly, calcium deposition was higher in VSMCs exposed to CM. Both conditions were
associated with increased RANKL and LGR4 and decreased OPG aorta expression, and
exacerbated by high PTH. Silencing of LGR4 or PTH1R attenuated the high PTH-driven
increases in calcium deposition. Furthermore, PTH1R silencing and pharmacological
inhibition of protein kinase (PK) A, but not of PKC, prevented the increases in RANKL and
LGR4 and decreased OPG. Treatment with PKA agonist corroborated that LGR4 regulation
is a PTH/PKA-driven process.
CONCLUSIONS: High PTH increases LGR4 and RANKL and decreases OPG expression in
aorta, thereby favoring vascular calcification. The hormone's direct pro-calcifying actions
involve PTH1R binding and PKA activation. The study was supported by Instituto de Salud Carlos III (ISCIII) - Fondo de

The aim of this paper is to present, with an archaeological focus, and using the results of a study performed over 530 potteries from 49 archaeological excavations carried out in Asturias and a private pottery collection, the first chrono-typological systematization of the tin-glazed and lead-glazed pottery productions made in Faro de Limanes (Asturias, Spain), from the 16 th to the 18 th century. Faro de Limanes is the most important ceramic production centre in Asturias during the Early Modern Period. The potteries studied here will be used and demanded throughout Asturias and in other parts of the North of the Iberian Peninsula. For doing this study, we have used a methodology that starts from the classification of the ceramics according to their productions, function groups, series, typologies and subtypes, to create a new database which includes all the variables, photographs and drawings for each pottery piece, as well as a catalogue that presents the most representative examples altogether.
CYP24A1 and KL polymorphisms are associated with the extent of vascular calcification but do not improve prediction of cardiovascular events
Background: Novel ways of determining cardiovascular risk are needed as a consequence of population ageing and the increased prevalence of chronic kidney disease (CKD), both of which favour vascular calcification. Since the formation of arterial calcium deposits has a genetic component, single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) could predict cardiovascular events.
Methods: A selection of 1927 CKD patients and controls recruited by the NEFRONA study were genotyped for 60 SNPs from 22 candidate genes. A calcium score was calculated from the echogenicity of arterial atherosclerotic plaques and the presence of cardiovascular events during a 4-year period was recorded. Association of SNPs with the calcium score was identified by multiple linear regression models and their capacity to predict events was assessed by means of Cox proportional hazards regression and receiver operating characteristics curves.
Results: Two variants, rs2296241 of CYP24A1 and rs495392 of KL, were associated with the calcium score. Despite this, only heterozygotes for rs495392 had a lower risk of suffering an event compared with homozygotes for the major allele {hazard ratio (HR) 0.67 [95% confidence interval (CI) 0.48-0.93]}. Of note, the calcium score was associated with an increased risk of cardiovascular events [HR 1.71 (95% CI 1.35-2.17)]. The addition of the rs495392 genotype to classical cardiovascular risk factors did not increase the predictive power [area under the curve (AUC) 71.3 (95% CI 61.1-85.5) versus 71.4 (61.5-81.4)].
Conclusions: Polymorphisms of CYP24A1 and KL are associated with the extent of calcification but do not predict cardiovascular events. However, the echogenic determination of the extent of calcium deposits seems a promising non-irradiating method for the scoring of calcification in high-risk populations
