Study of biomass combustion wastes
A number of widely referenced environmental and logistic advantages suggest biomass as an interesting feedstock to obtain energy in large quantities. One of the most important problems when using biomass is the amount of solid wastes produced, which causes deposition and corrosion phenomena (slagging and fouling) entailing energy efficiency decrement and maintenance problems.
This work focuses on the study of ashes from eighteen different biomass samples, including energy crops, agricultural, industrial and forestry wastes and commercial fuels.
Morphology (SEM) and grain size (PSD-LD) studies showed a homogeneous structure with low quantities of health risky fine particles for most samples after 550 °C burning.
Compositional studies (EDXA, XRF) suggested that some of the studied samples, such as almond shell or rice husk, may respectively present high deposition and corrosion risks.PSE-ARFRISOL, Ref. PS-120000-2005-

Emergency and Disaster Reports
Es un nº monográfico.Turkey has been a countryof mass influx throughout its history due to its geographical
location, political stability in the region, and ethnic relationship across the borders with
its neighbors. Turkey lastly have become the destination for the Syrians fleeing the civil
war in their country. This report seeks to summarize the response of Turkey to the mass influx crisis from Syria, which began on April 2011, and continues today with the
number of registered refugees reaching 516,206 as of November 15, 201
Experimental analysis of the high order harmonic components generation in few-layer graphene
In this work, the nonlinear electromagnetic response of a few-layer graphene sheet is experimentally analyzed. The few-layer graphene sheet is obtained through mechanical exfoliation from hghly oriented pyrolytic graphite and embedded in a rectangular waveguide structure which is used to guide the exciting and the output signals. The nonlinear electromagnetic response of the graphene sheet is exploited to implement a frequency multiplier in which the output signal, in the 330-500 GHz fraquency band, will be obtained as a high-order harmonic component of the input signal, in the 26-40 GHz frequency band. Due to the particular selection of the input and output frequency ranges, the behavior of several harmonic components, from order 9 to 17, can be characterized. The analysis will be focused on the frequency response of the graphene sheet, the influence of the input power on the output signal and the differences between the even- and odd-order harmonic components. Finally, it will be shown that the developed assembly can be used as THz signal source based on high-order frequency multiplication. This work has been partially supported by the VII Framework Programme of the EUROPEAN UNION under project ICT-2011.8.2 600849, by the MINISTERIO DE CIENCIA E INNOVACION of Spain and FEDER under the projects IPT-2011-0951-390000, TEC2011-24492, TEC2008-01638 and CONSOLIDER INGENIO CSD2008-00068, and the grant AP2012-2020, by the GOBIERNO DEL PRINCIPADO DE ASTURIAS (PCTI/FEDER-FSE) under the projects EQUIP08-06, FC09-COF09-12 y EQUIP10-31, and the grant BP13034, and by the CATEDRA TELEFONICA- UNIVERSIDAD DE OVIEDO

The contraceptive request, especially by women, combined with the wide variety of contraceptive agents along with the necessity to promote sexual and reproductive health in the couple and community, make it necessary for the Family and Community Nursing to develop a specific approach on her patients. Advances made in the composition as well as in the administration ways, demand a knowledge update in the contraception area. Therefore, the educational purpose of this article is to know the available contraceptive agents, their orders and to promote the contraceptive advice from the family and community nurse through the revision of the main agents like the barrier agent, oral combined agents, gestagen agents and emergency agents.
