    This study aims to increase critical thinking skills of students with inquiry methods and to describe the implementation of an inquiry methods on science competence. This research is classroom action research, which consisted of three cycles. This study was conducted in Elementary School Pasi Pinang academic year 2017/2018.     This study aims to determine the application of Islamic character education through short hadits at Muhamadiyah 5 Elementary School in Samarinda. This type of research is descriptive qualitative research. Instrument in this study is the researcher himself. The data collection techniques used include observation, interviews and documentationThe results of the study show that (1) primary schools are the second socialization environment for children to learn to interact with their peers and with adults. From this interaction the child experiences various kinds of positive and negative knowledge and behavior. Experience and behavior that children get when interacting at school will be more and varied than the experiences and behaviors they receive at home. In this case the school optimizes children's Islamic moral and values development through short hadiths taught by the teacher in teaching and learning activities as an effort to instill Islamic character in children by introducing short hadist on children (2) Short hadist introduced are short hadist simple and easy to memorize, among others, hadist relating to cleanliness, hadist prohibited from eating and drinking while standing, hadist about honesty, hadist about hygiene and others.     This study aims to (1) To obtain in-depth information about the implementation of character learning conducted in Our Children Preschool (2) To obtain information about the supporting and inhibiting factors Planting the character values in our children Preschool Samarinda. The research approach used is qualitative descriptive. Data collection includes (1) Observation, (2) In-depth interview, (3) Field Records, (4) Documentation. Data analysis techniques used interactive analysis model developed by Miles and Huberman, namely data reduction, display data, and withdrawal of conclusions / verification. The results showed: (1) Implementation of Learning Values of early childhood characters in our children Preschool is done through daily learning activities in the center and activities supporting the theme of outdoor activity with the strategy approach through exemplary by giving a good example of behavior , the nature and the way of thinking, the method of habituation by way of character plantings that are done regularly and continuously to train the child to have good habits, the method of story, that is by using a story that contains the incident experienced by a person, group, or others, advice by using advice.     The Influence of Principal Leadership and Work Motivation to Teachers Performance at Elementary School In District Samarinda Ilir Samarinda Year 2017

    This study aims to determine the influence of leadership of the Principal with the performance of teachers, the influence of teacher work motivation with teacher performance, the influence of leadership of Principal and teacher work motivation together with teacher performance. The population of this research is 90 elementary school teachers in 9 primary schools. Given the population is limited then this study is a population study where the sample research is the entire population of teachers in the State Elementary School Samarinda Ilir. The research method used quantitative method with regression analysis. The result of descriptive analysis revealed that the performance of teacher of majority in medium category that is equal to 63%, majority of headmaster leadership in medium category that is equal to 71%, and at work motivation of majority teacher in medium category that is equal to 69,6%. So that is so descriptively both teacher performance, Principal leadership and teacher work motivation is in medium category. The results of the study found that: (a) there was influence of Headmaster Leader's variables (X1) with teacher performance variable (Y) at the strong closeness level, that is 0,749 with coefficient determination 0,561, and regression equation Ŷ = 67,402 +0,456 X1 (b ) There is influence of teacher work motivation variable (X2) with teacher performance variable (Y) at moderate level, that is 0,749 with coefficient determination 0,561, and regression equation Ŷ = 60,734 + 0,572X2 (C) there is influence of leadership variable of Principal (X1) and teacher work motivation variable (X2) together with teacher performance variable (Y) at strong level of closeness, that is equal to 0,774 with coefficient determination 0,600 and regression equation Ŷ = 57,299 + 0.340 X1 + 0.236X2. The conclusion of this research is that improving the performance of elementary school teachers in Samarinda Ilir can be done by improving principal leadership and teacher work motivation

    PENGARUH MOTIVASI DAN KONSEP DIRI TERHADAP KEPUASAN KERJA GURU SMP NEGERI KECAMATAN SAMARINDA UTARA

    The purposes of the research are to analyze the influence between motivation and self concept toward teachers’ job satisfaction.The Study was conducted at junior high school (SMP Negeri) Kecamatan Samarinda Utara (2012) with 29 teachers’ sample probability sampling. Data collection techniques using structured questionnaires, with three instruments of teacher job satisfaction, motivation and self-concept. Instruments in calibration by using validity and reliability test. Grain validity is calculated by using Pearson Product Moment correlation coefficient while the instrument reliability coefficient is calculated by Alpha Cronbach formula. The results of the research indicate that there are positive influence between (1) motivation (X1) and teachers’ job satisfaction (Y) with contribution 72,30%; (2) self concept (X2) and teachers’ job satisfaction (Y) with contribution 50,40%; (3) Moreover, there is a positive influence  between motivation (X1) and self concept (X2) with teachers’ job satisfaction (Y) with  contribution 74,30

    PENERAPAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN SNOWBALL THROWING UNTUK MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR IPA PADA SISWA KELAS IV SDN 021 SAMARINDA UTARA

    This study aims to know to know the Improvement of Learning Outcomes About Style Through Model Learning Snowball Throwing In Students Class IV SDN 021 North Samarinda. The type of this research is Classroom Action Research (PTK), which is implemented in SDN 021 North Samarinda precisely in class IV which amounts to 17 students. Data collection techniques used in this study is the observation sheet of teacher and student activity when the learning process, written test, documentation. The study was conducted with two cycles and each cycle consisted of two meetings, each cycle consisting of four stages, namely planning, implementation, observation and reflection. Based on the observation data obtained in each cycle, can be seen the student learning outcomes increase well. The results showed that through the model of learning Snowball Throwing can improve student learning outcomes. Improvement of student learning outcomes from prasiklus of 41.2% with an average value of 50.29 subsequently increased in the first cycle of 76.47% with an average value of 70.58. Then on the second cycle has increased 88.23% with an average student 80.58. By applying the Snowball Throwing learning model can increase student activity in teaching and learning process, this can be seen with the increase in each cycle. The percentage in prasiklus is 49.99%. Next cycle I is 72.05%, the percentage in cycle II is 85.29%. The conclusion in this research by using Snowball Throwing learning model can improve learning result and student activity of Class IV SDN 021 North Samarinda

    The experimental method is where students practice, try, see and prove for themselves the work or something they learn.This research can be said PTK (classroom action research) used to know improvement of learning result IPA by using experimental method on the subject of simple tech work on the students of grade IVA SDN 010 BayurSamarinda Utara Learning Year 2016/2017. After teachers or researchers apply experimental methods. This research was conducted on Wednesday 8 February 2017 and the research was completed on Friday 17 February 2017 the number of students as the object of research as many as 30 students. This research was conducted in two cycles one cycle has 4 stages: planning stage, implementation stage, observation stage, and reflection stage. Each end of the cycle is given a test to determine student learning outcomes. Preliminary data is taken from the pre-cycle beginning done before cycle I begins. While the final data obtained at the end of each cycle after the test. The collected data is analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively, using the frequency table, and the mean score, and setting the level of learning result category. The benchmark indicator of the success of this study is if 75% of students have obtained a minimum score of 70 from the final test results then the class is considered complete

    This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the model Talking Stick on the results of learning mathematics fourth grade students SD Negeri Karangsumber 01 Pati regency. The research method used is quantitative descriptive. This type of research is pre experimental with one group pretest-posttest design design .. The data obtained is analyzed by using descriptive analytic technique of kunatitatif. The results showed that there was a significant difference of students' learning achievement after using Talking Stick model before using Talking Stick model (t_hitung = 6,208> t_tabel = 2,074). The average score of student learning outcomes after using the Talking Stick model (71.7) was higher than the average learning outcome before using the Talking Stick model (58.8). It can be concluded that the Talking Stick model is effective on the learning outcomes of fourth grade students of SD Negeri Karangsumber 01 Kabupaten Pati
