    Analysis and Identification of Landuse on the East Coast of South Sumatera Using GIS

    Analysis and identification of land use in coastal areas to study the coastal environment Sembilang National Park in South Sumatra using remote sensing system (Geoinformation System) has been conducted from June until November 2014. The objective to study the changes that occur in the coastal environment as well as to identify and estimate the area use change existing mangrove areas in Region I of the Section of Sembilang National Park Management, South Sumatra. Methods for the analysis and identification based on Landsat image data 8 in 2013 using ENVI 4.3 and Arc GIS 9.3 software as well as the conversion of ground check. The results showed the use of land in the mangrove areas in the region I of the Section of Sembilang National Park Management classified into 5 classes, namely mangrove, water area, mangrove shrubs, mainland mud, and ponds areas. The area of each class were observed in sequence as follows 8921.19 ha (41.69%) is a mangrove area; 3934.3 ha (23.28%) is water areas; 3.608,52ha (17.41%) is an area of mangrove shrubs; 1.649,11ha (9.05%) is mainland mud and settlement area; and 1.561,04ha (8.57%) is the ponds areas. The percentage of the class obtained as a result of the conversion of ground check is based on the land use map data with the total area observed

    Identification of Speed and Unique Letter of Handwriting Using Wavelet and Neural Networks

    Handwriting  stroke  reflects  the  personality  and emotional    condition.    Graphology    is    scientific    method    to evaluation  personality  through  handwriting.  There  are  many features  in  graphology  to  identify  personality.  Several  previous researches  used  page  margins,  spacing,  baseline,  vertical  zone, font  size,  and  the  type  of  unique  letter  t.  Other  research  also identify the personality of signatures. This research uses feature writing  speed  and  the  type  of  letters  a,  d,  i  m,  and  t  to  identify personalities   using   structural   analysis   and   artificial   neural networks.  To  improve  accuracy,  image  writing  extracted  using wavelet transform. The system is built with the approach of the structure  and  symbol  has  been  implemented  in  software.  The results show a unique type of letter recognition by 74%, and the speed  feature  by  60%  recognition.  Variations  training  data greatly affect recognition results

    APBD is a systematic detailed list of receipts,expenditures and local spending within a year arranged inPERMENDAGRI No. 16 of 2006, so that the data of APBD canbe used as guidelines for governments and local expenditures incarrying out activities to raise revenue to maintain economicstability and to avoid inflation and deflation. Governmentfinancial institutions in areas such as DPKA Padang, experienceddifficulties in identifying the relevance of each archive data onAPBD, that result in a data warehouse. In addition, to theadministration, APBD in the government of Padang have notbeen effective. To minimize the difficulty in identifying dataarchive of APBD, then the data warehouse can be used toproduce knowledge using the techniques of Data Mining (DM).The method that is used are clustering and forecasting.Clustering performed using the K-Means Algorithm whileforecasting is done by using multiple linear regressions. Thesemethods intended to classify and identify the data in the budgetthat have certain characteristics in common, and can predict thevalue of APBD for the following years

    In a campus community, mostly is younger people andstay in University hostel without cooking facilities then have to getfrom canteen for foods and beverages. In office hour with limitedbreak time either breakfast or lunch everyone is rushing to get foodand crowded situation are happen. One of the issues is paymentsystem use manually (cash) and queue at the cashier to pay foods,sometime need to wait a few minute until to get the turn. Cashlesspayment such as token or credit system is implementing in some ofrestaurant and food courts but does not applicable in Universitycanteen that most of customers are students with small transaction,only a few dollars and cents. Nowadays, mobile phone or smartphone is not a luxury thing and most of student carries it for phonecall, message, email, or browsing internet. Most of smart phone alsoembedded with Near Field Communication (NFC) reader inside thephone, thus by using this phone with NFC enable to do paymentsystem at the canteen. The credit is deducted from mobile phonebalance for pre-paid system or billed in monthly for postpaid andthis system have working together to the cellular phone operator.Confirmation on payment system is shows whether customerapprove payment or not then a notification is sent to user.With thissystem be able to overcome several issues such as queue at cashierfor payment and risk of student to carry cash money while buyingfoods

    Real Time Environmental Monitoring in Palm Oil Plantation Using Wireless Sensor Network

    The production of the palm oil accounted for 10.15%of total palm oil production in Indonesia. Farmland monitoringsystem is designed to determine the condition of temperature andsoil moisture on oil palm plantation. In this study, we design andbuild a Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) with fitted temperatureand moisture sensors for monitoring soil quality. The process oftemperature and moisture data communication from sensor nodesto the sink using a routing protocol that named Power-EfficientGathering in Sensor Information Systems (PEGASIS). The routingprocess in the PEGASIS is the nodes will form a chain by selectinga leader node as a gateway. The development of WSN is composedof 3 nodes and 1 sink with three different scenarios. The firstscenario is placed moisture sensors on three nodes (single sensor),the second is placed the temperature sensors on three nodes (singlesensor) and the third is placed moisture sensor on two node and onenode equiped by temperature sensor (multi sensor). The evaluationof WSN communication using the PEGASIS routing protocolcompared to the direct transmission using delay, packet loss andenergy have done. The results obtained are the difference betweenthe lifetime sensor nodes between direct transmission and thepegasis is 7 minutes time difference. For the average delay ofPEGASIS and direct transmission is 31.23 and 30.92 msrespectively. All transmission in both scheme have packet loss 0%.Conclusion, the WSN has successfully implemented with longer lifetime energy using PEGASIS than direct transmission methods

    Remote Control System For Multi Mobile Robot Using A Combination of Computer-Microcontroller

    Various control systems have been used to optimizerobot performance, one of them is to utilize radio wave. The use ofradio wave is very common because they are cheap and easy todeploy. Radio frequency use is also various; some use VHF, someothers UHF for many purposes. One control system for one robot isdefinitely inefficient, therefore a continuous research on robotcontrol system is required to control multi robots with differentradio frequencies using one control system. This research is meantto develop multiple mobile robots using 40 MHz and 315 MHzfrequency within one system controlled by integrated computer andmicrocontroller. The frequency selection represents VHF and UHFfrequency. This research is a prototype for multi robot control.Testing is done with several methods; system interface testing, Lineof Sight robot control system, and robot control system in anobscured environment. System interface testing is done by usingserial port communication to communicate computer with 8-bitmicrocontroller using ASCII. Line of Sight testing exerts maximumrange of 4 meters using 40 MHz, and 10 meters using 315 MHz.Obscured environment testing exerts maximum range of 2.8 metersfor 40 MHz and 13.4 meters for 315 MHz

    The Improvement of Phonocardiograph Signal (PCG) Representation Through the Electronic Stethoscope

    A conventional stethoscope (an acoustic stethoscope) is an acoustic medical device that is always used for preliminary examination of patients with any heart abnormalities. The main disadvantage of acoustic stethoscope is its dependence on how to use it and the experience of the examining physician. This paper presents a simple electronic stethoscope design in Phonocardiograph system that is free from subjectivity of doctors or other medical personnel. This electronic stethoscope is made sensitive in order to capture as many acoustic signal as possible from the activities of the human body, especially the heart and lungs. The design of this electronic stethoscope consists of chest piece, a pipe with proper acoustic impedance, mic condenser, mic preamp, and battery. The output of the mic preamp is connected to the mic channel on the laptop. The recording signal then processed separately. The repeatability of output signal was investigated in this paper. The signal was analyzed by using the Fast Fourier Transform (FFT). The result showed that the frequency responsea of the output signals are consistent, hence the instrument is reliable. Furthermore, the frequency response of the system with filter that connecting chest piece and mic condensor were also investigated

    Evaluation Study of Waste Materials for Renewable Energy through 3R Model in Bogor City

    Waste  is  one  the  critical  issues  in  Indonesia which  can  pose  a  badly influence  both  to human’s health and nature preservation if it is not properly managed for productive use. Hence, the increasing production in municipal waste is directly proportional to the increasing number of population, in which raises the waste production in big cities in Indonesia, such as in Bogor. In Bogor, a waste processing facility (TPS) using biogas for renewable energy has been developed. The volume of wastes in Bogor at the year of 2016 has reached 2.734,03 m³ per day. There are 12 locations for waste processing facility with the TPS 3R (Reduce, Re-use and Recycle) model but there are only 3 locations that uses biogas for   Renewable   Energy.   3   of   these   biogas-based   waste processing  facilities  can  be  found in  the  region  of  Taruna, Ceremai, and Dharmais. The wastes' capacity of each regions (Taruna, Ceremai, and Dharmais) consecutively is 3.300 kg,2.400 kg, and 2.520 kg with the number of organic materials that are being processed into biogas for renewable energy is 85 kg, 85 kg, and 55 kg

    Shape Defect Detection for Product Quality Inspection and Monitoring System

    This paper presents an automated computer vision system of shape defect detection for product quality inspection and monitoring system. Soft drink bottle is used as a tested product for the proposed system. The analysis framework includes data collection, pre-processing, morphological operation, feature extraction, and classification. Morphological operation technique is used to segment the image of the bottle via erosion and dilation process. Through this technique, the defect in the bottle structure is described from the feature set such as area, perimeter, major axis length and extend. Then, the bottle is classified either it is pass or rejects from the estimated parameters using Naive Bayes classifier. The results have proven that the proposed system can be applied to differentiate bottle according to shape with 100% accuracy using 100 samples.

    Enhancing Online Business Marketing to Expand Market Shares through IT Governance

    Online business marketing applied to expand market shares is inextricably connected with availability and reliability of IT governance. This model of marketing covers activities and transactions with a digital mechanism. This research included the sample of 30 MSME (Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises) businesses of traditional and finished clothes originated in Pontianak City. Stratified sampling technique was applied. In addition, questionnaires with each process divided based upon the levels  were  in  use.  These  levels  were  served  by  using Guttman Scales. The aims of this research were to cognize gap values of maturity levels and propose a recent model of IT governance to reach expected maturity levels. Results show that the lowest values of maturity levels are at PO8 (2.336) and DS5 (2.560). Therefore, redefinition of information architectures, IT resources, quality management, estimation and management of IT risks, system improvement of IT infrastructure management, IT investment strategies, and communication are of great importance. A recommended model shows that PO8 is related to input control objectives PO1, PO10 and ME1 as well as output control objectives AI1, AI2, AI3, AI5, DS2, PO10, AI1, AI2, AI3, AI7, ALL, PO4, and AI6. Meanwhile, DS5 is associated with input control objectives PO2, PO3, PO9, AI2, and DS1 as well as output control objectives DS8, DS7, ME1, AI6, PO9, and DS11
