Co-channel Interference Monitoring based on Cognitive Radio Node Station
Most of installation on wireless LAN on the building is not considering location and geographic space are which probable co-channel interference among near-far wi-fi stations. The use of the same channel which causes of receiver stations experiences of error transmission and delay among data transmission. To analyze this drawbacks, cognitive radio (CR) is adopted which able to monitoring co-channel interference on wi-fi stations. Node MCU Arduino is used to proposed cognitive radio terminal which able to analyzed and monitoring co-channel interference among wi-fi stations known as co-channel monitoring cognitive radio (CCMCR). One of the CR task is ability to sensing the whole spectrum channel that operated in certainty frequency. Node MCU is sensed the energy power of the wi-fi stations and converted by analog-to-digital converter which detected power level of the received signal strength indicator (RSSI). The proposed model is examined by indoor experiments which obtained 63.8% co-channel average and adjacent-channel is 36.1%. Thus the proposed CCMCR node station is able to monitor co-channel interference and adjacent-channel as well. Therefore, the results could be used as the basic analysis for the development and installation of wi-fi stations in the building
Simulation of Mobile LoRa Gateway for Smart Electricity Meter
LoRa is a viable connectivity technology for smart electricity meter. In addition to measuring electricity usage, a smart electricity meter enables many features for smart grid, safety, etc. LoRa is advertised to be capable in very long range transmission and low power consumption. However, LoRa uses sub 1 GHz unlicensed spectrum. In the era of connected smart things, this spectrum is very crowded and will be even more crowded. In this paper we propose the use of mobile LoRa gateway for smart electricity meter. With mobile LoRa gateway, the transmission range can be decreased. Thus, LoRa end devices can save more power and nearby systems can reuse the same band with less interference. We study the performance via simulation using modified LoRaSim. The result shows that the performance of LoRa mobile gateway can be achieved
An SoC-Based System for Real-time Contactless Measurement of Human Vital Signs and Soft Biometrics
Computer vision (CV) plays big role in our current society's life style. The advancement of CV technology brings the capability to sense human vital sign and soft biometric parameters in contactless way. In this work, we design and implement the contactless human vital sign parameters measurement including pulse rate (PR) and respiration rate (RR) and also for assessment of human soft biometric parameters i.e. age, gender, skin color type, and body height. Our designed system is based on system on chip (SoC) device which run both FPGA and hard processor while provides real-time operation and small form factor. Experimental results shows our device performance has mean absolute error (MAE) 2.85 and 1.46 bpm for PR and RR respectively compared to clinical apparatus. While, for soft biometric parameters measurement we got unsatisfied results on age and gender estimation with accuracy of 58% and 74% respectively. However, for skin color type and body height measurement we reach high accuracy with 98 % and 2.28 cm respectively on both parameters
Optical Studies of Er-doped Yttrium Aluminium Garnet Phosphor Materials
The need for materials application in solid-state lasers, medical devices, and optoelectronic devices has made the investigation of ceramic materials of increasing importance. A detail study of the optical properties of rare earth element typically from luminescent materials when intentionally doped inside the host materials and in particular crystal (such as YAG) is reported for the photoluminescence, power and lifetime measurement. The rare-earth dopants usually form trivalent lanthanide ions and the energy transfer and optical transitions involved originate from 4f-4f transitions of the ions and between these states and the host material. In order to understand the energy transfer processes in more detail we need to better understand the accompanying optical processes that give rise to the emission they display and it is this that forms the focus of the work presented. Following this second (and higher) order processes are considered that lead to upconversion in erbium-doped yttrium aluminum garnet (Er:YAG) materials
Design-of-Experiment Based Systematic Tuning of Square Open Loop Resonator
Stub-loaded, square open loop resonator (SOLR) is a type of bandpass filter with dual-band response. It is believed that its center frequency values are determined by entire length of open loop resonator’s and open stub's lengths, the bandwidth values are determined by coupling between two resonators. However, design of experiments (DOE) method applied in this paper shows that the center frequency values are also affected by interaction between resonator length, stub length, and distance between the two resonators in pair. The DOE also shows that bandwidth values, both upper and lower bands, are not only affected by the distance between resonators but also by the resonator’s and stub’s lengths. Utilizing slope values of the significant factors, systematic tuning to SOLR can be done. With few steps, small error on frequency responses can be obtained
Boosting E-Service Quality through IT Service Management of Online Stores
The intention of conducting such the research was to evaluate mediating roles of IT service management on information system success model and IT governance, further boosting E-service quality. A method combining convergent triangulation and an explanatory, follow-up design was implemented. The population engaged middle-up online stores that have marketed products online in five-year time in West Kalimantan. Questionnaires were completed by 99 out of 112 managers. Quantitative analysis was performed through SEMPLS. In-depth interviews and FGDs with 5 key informants, however, yielded data used for qualitative analysis. Results conclusively reveal that information system success model is insignificant for E-service quality despite direct, positive influences gained. In other words, the business success of online stores has no reliance on this type of model. The focus should be on IT governance reinforcing IT service management. The fact is supported by qualitative findings emphasizing that such the governance is eminently influenced by information system success model and it is requisite to actualize IT service management for progressed E-service quality
The Quality of e-Village Budgeting Service : An Empirical Research in Banyuwangi, Indonesia
Electronic Village Budgeting (e-VB) is an information system of village budgeting owned by Banyuwangi District. But at the beginning of the implementation of e-VB, there were several errors and constraints experienced by users so that an evaluation is needed to measure the extent of the quality of e-VB services. To measure the quality of e-VB service, this research used 33 attributes from 6 dimensions of e-GovQual; ease of use, trust, functionality of the interaction environment, reliability, content and performance of information, and citizen support. While the Importance Performance Analysis (IPA) method is used to map the services performance based on the level of user importance. Respondents in this research were 44 respondents spread across 22 villages in Kabat and Licin subDistricts. Based on the results of e-GovQual analysis was known that the quality of service performance is 3.16. This shows that the performance of the e-VB service is good according to the user's perception. However, based on the assessment of user importance of 3.45, it creates a gap value between performance and importance of -0.29, indicating that the quality of e-VB services is good, but has not fulfilled the user’s importance. Based on the results of the IPA quadrant analysis, it produces several attributes that need a special priority for improvement; providing informed consent, accessibility of site, and loading speed. The results of the research are expected to help the provider of e-VB to be able to provide services that are in accordance with the user’s importance
Lightweight Method for Detecting Fake Authentication Attack on Wi-Fi
Wireless networks, despite providing better access and flexibility, have vulnerabilities that are easier to realize compared to wired networks. Fake authentication attack can be taken by an attacker prior to carrying out a Man in the Middle attack to intercept the other party's communication. Such an attack is generally carried out in public places that provide free Wi-Fi access. Detection of fake authentication is necessary to maintain communication success. Several methods have been applied to detect fake authentication such as the use of Wireless Intrusion Detection System (WIDS) or certificates on Transport Layer Security (TLS). However, attackers can trick the use of WIDS or TLS. Moreover, the WIDS and TLS techniques require large costs and computations. In this study, a lightweight method based on the comparison of BSSID/MAC address for detecting fake authentication is proposed. The lightweight method is implemented by creating an application that runs on Android mobile phones, and Linux operating system. We compared the detection performance of the device with the proposed application and the one without the proposed application. It can be concluded that the proposed method using comparison of BSSID / MAC address is an effective way to detect fake authentication attacks on Wi-Fi networks
The Feasibility of Credit Using C4.5 Algorithm Based on Particle Swarm Optimization Prediction
Credit is a belief that one is given to a person or other entity which is concerned in the future will fulfill all the obligations previously agreed. The objective of research is necessary to do credit analysis to determine the feasibility of a credit crunch, through credit analysis results, it can be seen whether the customer is feasible or not. The methods are is used to predict credit worthiness is by using two models, models classification algorithm C4.5 and C4.5 classification algorithm model based Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO). After testing with these two models found that the result C4.5 classification algorithm generates a value of 90.99% accuracy and AUC value of 0.911 to the level diagnostics Classification Excellent, but after the optimization with C4.5 classification algorithm based on Particle Swarm Optimization accuracy values amounted to 91.18% and the AUC value of 0.913 to the level of diagnosis Excellent Classification. These both methods have different accuracy level of 0.18%
Review on Odor Localization
In this paper, the importance of odor localization isexplained. The researchers that investigated the experimentsand applications of odor localization using static sensors, mobilesensors (that were integrated in single robot, multi robot, andswarm robot) are described. However, there are some difficultiesfaced by the researchers in applying the mobile robots in the realsituation, such as: the speed of mobile robots are not as fast asthe odor patches transporting and the use of more than onesensor in mobile robot can make noises or errors.
