Introduction to Counting Symbols in Early Childhood with Stick Math (STIKMA) Educational Tool Games
This research aims to improve the ability to recognize the number symbols 1-10 using the Stick Math educational game tool (ETG STIKMA). This research method uses a quasi-experimental design with a control group to test the effectiveness of using ETG STIKMA on the ability to recognize numbers. ETG STIKMA learning media has been tested by material experts and media experts who are experienced and competent in their fields. Data collection techniques use questionnaires and observation. The material expert's validation results were 80%, then the media expert gave a result of 97%, which means that the media and materials contained in STIKMA media are suitable for use to improve the cognitive abilities of children aged 5-6 years at Fatimah Az-Zahro Kindergarten. The effectiveness test results show that children's cognitive abilities in recognizing numbers 1-10 have increased by 10.50% with a positive rating of 210.00. So, this game is appropriate and efficient for improving cognitive abilities regarding the number symbols 1-10.

Teacher Competencies in Character Strengthening for Early Childhood
Character education is very basic education for young children to instill moral values to prevent unacceptable behavior. Children can absorb good character if they are in a supportive environment, for this reason, schools should understand and implement character education in the learning process. This research aims to see how teachers apply the character values of responsibility, honesty, discipline, love and affection, caring, courage, independence, hard work, cooperation, courtesy, justice, self-control, and tolerance. This survey method research uses two types of mixed data (Mixed method) with data collection techniques through observations, types of tasks, and performance assessments. The respondents for this research were 49 teachers involving 112 children. The results of research with a regression model of 0.7895 shows that the variables Responsibility, Honesty, Discipline, Caring, Courage, Independence, Hard Work, Cooperation, Politeness, Fairness, Self-Control, and Tolerance can explain the diversity of children's characters by 78.95%. while the rest is explained by other variables outside the model. Character values can be taught optimally in the school environment based on the teacher's ability to implement them. Through character education at school, children can also instill a positive outlook on life.

Differences in Profile and Personal Learning of Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) Participants in Utilizing Open Educational Resources (OER) and Parenting Programs
Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) at the Indonesian Open University are independent learning tools that provide the opportunity to introduce the University to the wider community by providing quality knowledge for free. This research aims to describe the Indonesian Open University's efforts to provide solutions to limited access and quality of education by providing various free courses to the wider community through MOOCs which are open and can be attended by an unlimited number of participants. This survey study uses a modified Self-Regulated Learning (SRL) questionnaire, adapted to the profile of the community as participants and the characteristics of the Open University (UT') MOOCs program. In 2023, UT offers 23 MOOC titles, but this research limited it to only two MOOCs, Open Educational Resources (OER) with 56 participants and Parenting with 73 participants (129 teachers and parents of early childhood). This research revealed two MOOCs in real life which were analyzed using the Mann-Whitney U test to see whether there were differences in the answers between respondents who took part in the OER MOOCS and the answers of respondents who took part in the MOOCS parenting program. Apart from that, UT's MOOCs currently still use Indonesian considering that currently they are specifically for Indonesian people. UT MOOCs were developed using an open-source platform (Moodle) considering that previously lecturers and tutors had used similar platforms for their formal courses.

Increasing Children's Character Overt Behaviours by Neuro Pedagogy-Based Play
The research aims to improve the character of children aged 4-6 years by implementing the way the individual interacts with the environment. Qualitative research methods were used in this study, where researchers investigated the open behavior of children aged 4-6 years during neuropedagogy-based play, as well as the open behavior of preschool teachers' professional characters in managing play. The participants in this research were 20 children aged 4-6 years and 4 teachers who were chosen deliberately. The results of the study revealed that all the children's overt character behaviors improved after participating in neuropedagogy-based play. There was not a single child who was classified as having open early behavior. On the other hand, preschool teachers consistently demonstrate the implications of their professional behavior. Based on research findings, it is proven that neuro-pedagogy-based play is beneficial for preschool children and teachers. Extrapolated from this interpretation, curriculum designers and teaching practices are informed that neuro pedagogy-based play can strengthen children's character, this is necessary in preparing future generations who can overcome all challenges in the future.

The Influence of Children's Gadget Use Intensity on Their Social Skills
Social skills play an important role in preventing negative behavior and can be developed every day. It depends on temperament, social cognitive abilities, and interactions. This research aims to determine the effect of the intensity of gadget use by young children on their social skills. Apart from that, the aim is to determine the influence of gadget use by young children on gadget use which is mediated by parents' social skills. This research uses a quantitative method design through observation techniques and questionnaires. The research results showed a significant influence on the intensity of gadget use by children in the Patikraja area on social skills (P = 0.742; P > 0.05). The intensity of gadget use of PAUD students in Patikraja which is mediated by parents' gadget use on social skills has a significant effect (P=0.001; P<0.05) with B values of -0.61 and -5.345. The increasing intensity of gadget use by children in Patikraja, mediated by the intensity of parents' gadget use, causes a decline in social skills of 7.6%. This shows a significant influence between the intensity of gadget use by children and their social skills which is mediated by the intensity of parents' gadget use.

Parenting Skills as The Closest Teacher to Early Childhood at Home
Parents play an important role in the development of their children. This research reflects the role of parents in developing children. Through four stages of identification, screening, eligibility, and acceptable results, this method uses a systematic literature review using the PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-analyses) method. The findings from the fourteen articles examined show that parenting skills play an important role in a child's growth and development from birth to death. The determining factor in the development of physical, motoric, moral, language, social-emotional, and life skills aspects is the role of both parents as important teachers for children from birth to adulthood. Parents can also use a variety of parenting strategies and skills, many of which they have learned throughout their lives and passed on to their children, to help their children grow.

The Effectiveness of Toilet Training on Children's Independence Through Demonstration Methods
Toilet training is one way to train children's independence in clean and healthy living behaviour as a provision for children's life skills in entering the next education level. The research problem is that the child's independence has not yet developed, which is marked by the child not yet being independent in defecating and urinating. The research aims to train children's independence in defecation and urination through demonstration methods and find out whether toilet training activities through demonstration methods can affect children's independence. The research subjects were 50 children. A research approach is quantitative with experimental methods. The data collection technique used pre and post-tests for children's independence with the child's toilet training ability as a measuring tool. The results of data collection were processed by statistical testing the Non-Parametric Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test. The study found a contrast in toilet training ability before and after being treated with a demonstration technique which has a value of 0.05 with a P value <0.005. The research results conclude that the toilet training demonstration method was effective in increasing children's independence in Kindergarten, Donggala Regency, Central Sulawesi.
