Kepemimpinan Transformasional Walikota Makassar (2014-2019) pada Program Makassar Tidak Rantasa (MTR)
Get PDFThis study discusses transformational leadership, the reference theory used in this study is Yukl (2007), a Professor from the State University of New York, he mapped that transformational leadership basically has four characteristics, namely; (1) ideal influences, (2) inspirational motivation, (3) intellectual stimulation, and (4) individual attention. The concept is then tested to the flagship program of Makassar's mayor elected 2014-2019 namely, Makassar Green and Clean, to make it happen a derivative program that is Makassar No Rantasa (MTR). Through qualitative approach with case study method, the researcher then get the data in more depth. Data collection was done in three ways: interview, observation and documentation study. Based on the results of the research indicates that the level of community satisfaction and government apparatus towards this program has shown positive trend, in the sense that they (the community and government apparatus) have felt the positive impact of this program, that is with the changing of environment condition and citizen mindset for cleanliness and arrangement of beauty hallway. But it can not be denied that this program has not been implemented with the maximum in all corners of Makassar, this is evidenced by the results of research in sub-district locations located on the outskirts of the city seen not getting the maximum attention from the city government
Enhancing the Students Writing Interest Through Case Building Technique
Get PDFThis study focused in finding out the degree of students’ interest toward the use of Case Building Technique which its use was limited in writing skill enhancement. The study was a descriptive qualitative. The population of the study was 160 students of English Education Program, Language and Literature Faculty, State University of Makassar in 2012-2013 academic years. Cluster random sampling was used in this study and, due to the large number of population. The researcher chose the classes randomly by using lot. Questionnaire was used as instrument of the research by applying Likert Scale. In collecting data, the researcher distributed the instrument after the implementation of Case Building Technique. The findings revealed 37,5 % of students were strongly interested, 57,5% of students were interested and only 5% of students were moderate. In other words, most students were interested in learning to write English composition by using Case Building Technique. This technique had been found alluring by the students and, therefore, has changed the students’ attitude towards writing.
The influence of the headmaster’s reward system toward the teachers work motivation in the Senoir High School 1 of Tanete Rilau of Barru Regency
Get PDFThis study aims to find out and explain the influence of the headmaster's reward system toward the teachers’ work motivation. This study uses a quantitative associative approach using descriptive statistical data analysis techniques with percentage, mean and standard deviation and inferential statistical analysis using data normality test, product moment correlation, simple linear regression, and homogeneity test. The results of this study suggest that the headmaster's reward system has a significant effect on the work motivation of the teacher. This can be seen from the results of the data analysis, the level of influence of the headmaster's reward system to the work motivation of teachers in the SeniorHigh School1 of Tanete Rilau of Barru Regency, which is classified as in the medium category

The population in this study were all students of SMA Negeri 1 Benteng Selayar, namely as many as 845 students. With the consideration that the population in this study is quite large, the researchers conducted a sampling. In order to obtain a representative sample, the researcher determines 10% of the sample from the population with the sampling technique used is random sampling, where sampling is done on the grounds that the population is homogeneous. Get PDFThe objectives research are, (i) whether there is influence of utilizing learning media toward students learning achievement in Office Administration program at SMKN in Tanete Riattang subdistrict of Bone district; (ii) whether there is influence of clasrooms management toward students learning achievement in Office Administration program at SMKN in Tanete Riattang subdistrict of Bone district. (iii) whether there is influence collectivity of utilizing learning media and class management toward students learning achievement in Office Administration program at SMKN (Public Vocational Schools) in Tanete Riattang subdistrict of Bone district. The research employed quantitative method. Data is collected through observation, questionnaire and documentation techniques. Data is analyzed by employing descriptive statistic and inferential statistic analysis., there is significant positive influence of learning media towards the students learning achievement by 17%, there is significant positive influence classroom management toward the student learning achievement by 19,9%. The results of the research reveal that: there are significant positive influence between learning media and class management toward the students learning by 23,6%
Switching Behavior Nasabah Bank: Tinjauan Empiris Teori Keperilakuan Di Kota Makassar
Get PDFPublic understanding of Islamic banking services is still low. The purpose of this study is to analyze the factors that influence the switching behavior of bank customers. This research method uses a quantitative approach and data collection using a questionnaire given to 200 bank customers who are taken on a non-probability sampling basis and analyzed using SPSS version 21. The results of hypothesis testing indicate that attitudes, subjective norms, perceived behavioral control, and system ease procedures have a positive and significant effect on the intention to switch bank customers, while social influences and effort expectancy do not affect the intention to switch bank customers. This research is relevant for management to design service products that provide convenience for users to increase the intention of users to transact with Islamic banks

Get PDFThere is still a large number of unemployment shows that the education and training that is given is still rated less, low skill labour-owned cause the quality of the workforce has become low. Therefore, this research aims to find out how the performance of the Employment Service in improving the quality of the workforce as well as the training provided and the efforts made.The research methods used is qualitative reasearch methods with descriptive approach. The informants in this research were the employees of the Department of Employment obtained by purposive sampling technique, and people who are getting who are getting employment administraton services. Data collection techniques carried out by direct interviews with structured techniques, observation and study document. Then the data analysis techniques used in this research is done by data reduction, display data and conclusion drawing. The results of this research show that the performance of the Employment Service in raising the quality of labor votes not optimal. It can be seen from the process of granting of services that already have a good information system, a good training methods, attitude of the staff who are friendly and courteous, responsive in dealing with the complaint of the community as well as the implementation of the activities of the socialization has been done effectively
Developing the Students’ Speaking Performance through Information Transfer Technique
Get PDF The objective of this research are: (1) to describe whether the use of Information transfer technique developed the students’ speaking performance in terms of accuracy and fluency, (2) to describe the feedback of students’ attitude toward Information transfer technique. The researcher design was pre-experimental design, the sample consisted of 26 students of sixth semester of English Education study program, Faculty of Language and Literature, State University of Makassar, in 2007/2008 academic year, class A. the researcher data were collected by using two kinds of instruments; Speaking test for students’ achievement by using Information transfer technique and questionnaire for students’ attitude toward information transfer technique. Data on the students’ speaking performance in terms of accuracy and fluency were analyzed using t-test at 0.05 level of significance and the main score formula, and data on students’ attitude were analyzed using Likert scale. The result of the research are : (1) The use of Information transfer technique developed the students’ speaking accuracy in terms of acceptable pronunciation, correct grammar, and appropriate word choice, (2) The use of information transfer technique also developed the students’ speaking fluency, and (3) the students had very positive attitude toward the use of information transfer technique. Thus means that the use of information transfer technique is effective to be implemented in developing students’ speaking performance in terms of accuracy and fluency
