    Employee turnover intention among Millennials: The role of psychological well-being and experienced workplace incivility

    High turnover intention is a problem in the workforce today. The purpose of this study is to determine the relationship between experienced workplace incivility and psychological well-being on turnover intention. The subjects of this study were 46 millennial employees who had worked for at least three months. Data were collected with turnover intention scale, experienced workplace incivility scale, and psychological well-being scale. Partial Least Square PLS-SEM analysis was used to analyze the data. Findings indicate that experienced workplace incivility is positively related to turnover intention, while psychological well-being is negatively related to employee turnover intention. The results show that workplace incivility affects employee turnover intention higher than psychological well-being for millennial employees. Connections and communality are characteristics of millennial employees; therefore, they consider that the environment is essential. It is essential for employers to develop a work condition that minimalizes experienced workplace incivility and improves the psychological well-being of their employees to reduce turnover intention among millennial employees

    Exploratory factor analysis of the Indonesian version of MMPI-2-RF Restructured Clinical (RC) Scales

    The Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory (MMPI) is the world’s most frequently used scale, both in clinical assessment and psychiatric setting. This measure has been revised several times with MMPI-2-RF (Restructured Form) being the latest version. The Restructured Clinical (RC) Scales, which contains nine sub-scales, is the primary clinical scale in MMPI-2-RF. This scale replaces the Clinical Scales from the previous version of MMPI. This research aimed to analyze the construct validity of the RC Scales using Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) technique. The sample of this research involved 279 participants (male = 26.5%; female = 73.5%) with an average of 21.63 years old. The obtained data was analyzed using EFA through Principal Component Analysis (PCA). Results showed that Restructured Clinical Scales consisted of one factor solution, namely psychological disorder. The number of the factors, as well as the structure, was different from the US version of MMPI-2-RF Restructured Clinical Scales. Through these findings, MMPI-2-RF users in Indonesia are expected to be more cautious when interpreting the Restructured Clinical Scales sub-scales score

    Proses Menjadi Tangguh Bagi Ibu yang Memiliki Anak dengan Gangguan Spektrum Autis

    Keterbatasan-keterbatasan yang dialami anak dengan gangguan spektrum autis dapat menimbulkan berbagai kesulitan hingga dibutuhkan ketangguhan ibu dalam menjalankan pengasuhan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengkaji pengalaman ibu hingga menjadi sosok yang tangguh selama mengasuh anak autis. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan fenomenologi dan melibatkan lima orang responden penelitian. Hasil penelitian menemukan enam tema pengalaman ibu yang menjadikan mereka tangguh dalam mengasuh anak dengan gangguan spektrum autis, yaitu: 1) kondisi sulit, menekan, dan bertahan; 2) dukungan sosial; 3) pengetahuan dan informasi terkait anak dengan gangguan spektrum autis; 4) religius coping; 5) kebermaknaan hidup orang tua anak dengan anak berkebutuhan khusus; 6) optimisme. Sumber daya penentu berasal baik dari internal yaitu kemampuan mengontrol diri, keyakinan akan kemampuan diri, dan religious coping, maupun eksternal yaitu dukungan sosial, merupakan faktor utama yang memengaruhi ibu untuk tetap bertahan dalam mengasuh anak.

    Pengujian Validitas dan Reliabilitas Konstruk pada Organizational Citizenship Behavior

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji validitas dan reliabilitas konstruk skala OCB, mengetahui kontribusi aspek-aspek dan indikator-indikator OCB dalam mengukur variabel OCB serta mengkonfirmasikan model yang dihipotesiskan yaitu kecocokan model dengan data dengan menggunakan Second order confirmatory factor analysis (2nd Order CFA). Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah semua karyawan di organisasi X dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 202 orang. Sampel diambil menggunakan teknik non-probability sampling yang dilakukan dengan convenience sampling. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan Linear Structural Model (LISREL) versi 8.71 dari Joreskog dan Sorbom. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa aspek conscientiousness, altruism, civic virtue, sportmanship, dan courtesy mampu merefleksikan variabel OCB secara positif, valid dan signifikan yang didukung dengan indikator-indikator perilaku masing-masing aspek. Model teoritik variabel OCB sesuai (fit) dengan data empirik. Aspek-aspek OCB valid dan signifikan serta reliabel untuk mengukur OCB karyawan. Aspek paling dominan yang merefleksikan OCB adalah aspek altruism dan aspek paling lemah adalah sportmanship

    Analisis Kesejahteraan Psikologis Karyawan dan Kualitas Interaksi Bawahan Berdasarkan Kepribadian Atasan

    This research background was the low indicator of employee well-being (EWB) in Jakarta that derived from several employee surveys. One factor that has significant influence to EWB is management leadership. The aims of this research are to test the correlation between leader-member exchange and employee well-being, and to test correlation between leader's personality type and leader-member exchange. Participants involved in this study are 72 employees, that was taken using accidental sampling. This research adopted LMX7 scale to measure the leader-member exchange, EWB tool based on Juniper theory (2010) to measure employee well-being, and DISC personality to measure personality type. Result showed there is a significant correlation between leader-member exchange and employee well being, and there is correlation between leader's personality type, specifically type C and S with leader-member exchange. This result can be used for Human Resources Management to consider employee with type C and S to fill position as middle level manager

    Identifikasi Diri dan Pembentukan Identitas Diri Karyawan dalam Proses Restrukturisasi Organisasi

    Organization restructuring is a common phenomenon which is applied in order to improve organizational performance. Unfortunately, many restructuring processes often neglect their impacts on employees.This phenomenological research was directed to cover some issues related to the impact of organization restructuring on employees’ behavior, particularly on the way employees’ self identification were developed and how these experiences shape employes’ self identity. In-depth interviews were employed to collect the data that involved 10 employees from UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta and UIN Sultan Alauddin Makassar as respondents. Phenomenology approach is used in this research, and the process of analyzing and interpreting data used Stevick-Colaizzi-Keen technique. Member checks and external audits were used to verify the trustworthiness of the data. This research concluded four major themes related to how employees’ self identity was developed and how employees put its meaning. The themes were (1) be a Learner; (2) surrender to his or her destiny; (3) being active and flexible; (4) be independent. These identities had unique implication toward employees’work behaviors in organization

    Kontribusi Gratitude Dan Anxiety Terhadap Spiritual Well-Being Pada Orang Tua Anak Berkebutuhan Khusus

    This research aims to determine the effect gratitude and anxiety with spiritual well-being in the parents of children with special needs. Research carried out by the quantitative method with 100 subjects. Data analysis was performed using multiple linear regression model where Gratitude and Anxiety as independent variables and Spiritual Well Being (SWB) as the dependent variable. Results indicate a positive influence between Gratitude and Anxiety to SWB. The majority of the subjects had state anxiety, so they can manage and control the emotions that give a positive effect on SWB

    Kontribusi Komitmen Beragama Orang Tua Terhadap Pengasuhan Holistik

    Agama menjadi faktor fundamental yang mempengaruhi cara individu menjalani kehidupan sehari-hari, termasuk perannya sebagai orang tua. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi kontribusi komitmen beragama orang tua terhadap penerapan pengasuhan holistik yang berlandaskan pada ajaran Islam. Konsep pengasuhan holistik meliputi: qudwah hasanah (contoh terpadu), al addah (pembiasaan), al mauidzah (nasehat efektif), al mulahadzah (keseimbangan dalam perhatian dan pemantauan), serta uqubah wa ujaroh (konsekuensi yang proporsional). 68 orang tua dari sebuah sekolah dasar Islam (SD) menjadi responden dalam penelitian ini yang dipilih dengan menggunakan teknik sampling purposif. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan skala komitmen beragama (Religious Commitment Inventory) dan skala pengasuhan holistik sebagai alat ukur. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat hubungan positif yang signifikan antara komitmen beragama dan dimensi-dimensinya terhadap teknik pengasuhan holistik. Pilihan orang tua untuk menerapkan pengasuhan holistik yang mentransmisikan nilai-nilai agama yang dimiliki kepada anak-anak mereka dipengaruhi komitmen beragamanya

    Evaluasi Karakteristik Psikometrik Tes Bakat Differensial dengan Teori Klasik

    The aims of the research were to analyze the psychometric characteristics of a set Differential Aptitude Test (DAT) consisting of five subtests, they are: numerical, abstract reasoning, space relation, and mechanics. This research using quantitative research method. The data ware collected from documentation pschological testing in UNY. The total data of the study are 2118 youth students in Yogyakarta. The analysis of psychometric characteristics of instrument using classical approach. The characteristic instrument are index of difficulty, index of disciminancy, effectifitas distractor, and reliability coefficient. The data were analyzed with Microcat ITEMAN 3.0 program. The result of analysis can be concluded that there are many information about item characteristic. The items characteristik have variation in index difficulty. Majority items have good index discimination, and many items are bad or need improvement. The items of abstract reasoning subtes have most distractor option which are not functioning properly, and all subtests in DAT instruments are reliable

    Pengembangan Skala Resiliensi Keluarga dengan Anak Berkebutuhan Khusus

    Tantangan dalam kehidupan tidak hanya dihadapi oleh individu, namun ada pula tantangan yang harus dihadapi oleh individu sebagai anggota sebagai sebuah sistem, misalnya keluarga. Kemampuan dalam menghadapi tantangan ini dikenal dengan istilah resiliensi. Peneliti mengembangkan skala resiliensi keluarga guna menyediakan instrumen untuk penelitian, penilaian dan intervensi, khususnya pada keluarga dengan anak berkebutuhan khusus (ABK). Pengembangan skala ini melibatkan 41 keluarga ABK dengan teknik accidental sampling. Data dianalisis menggunakan exploratory factor analysis (EFA), kemudian confirmatory factor analysis (CFA), yang menunjukkan ada tiga dimensi dari skala resiliensi keluarga ABK, yaitu penerimaan, pengelolaan, dan dukungan. Model tiga dimensi tersebut fit dengan data. Hal ini berarti ketiga dimensi ini terbukti mengukur satu konstruk, yaitu resiliensi keluarga dengan ABK. Dari segi reliabilitas, skala ini memiliki reliabilitas yang tinggi. Dengan demikian, skala resiliensi keluarga ABK memiliki properti psikometris yang baik untuk digunakan lebih lanjut
