    Tingkat Literasi Media Remaja Desa dalam Pemanfaatan Internet

    The development of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) is increasing rapidly, causing the internet utilization patterns become more varied, both for positive purposes and negative purposes. In order to avoid the negative effects of the internet, media literacy is required for internet users. The purpose of this research is to analyze the influence of respondent\u27s characteristic to the media literacy level of young villager and to analyze the correlation between media literacy level of young villager and the utilization of internet by using 45 members of Cibanteng Village’s youth organization as respondents. This research is conducted by using quantitative approach supported by qualitative data. The results of this study indicate that there are respondent’s characteristics that significantly influence media literacy’s level of young villager and media literacy’s level of young villager significantly related with internet utilization

    The emergence of various forest resources problem in Indonesia, pragmatically could not be launched from the processes that occured in higher education. As a manifestation of development communication events, pedagogical communication that occurs in forestry education was important to be observed. This paper aims to explain the facts that occured in the teaching and learning process at the selected Faculty of Forestry, including to explain epistemology that form those facts. The research paradigm is a critical paradigm in qualitative research. Samples were taken purposively by conducting classroom observations, in-depth interviews with students and lecturer, desk study and conducting Focus Group Discussion. The results of this research show that there are facts which lead to the ineffectiveness of pedagogical communication. There are at least 8 issues that became the impetus for the occurrence of such ineffectiveness. The situation has made the message construction thus was not carried but only administrative issues answered in ongoing pedagogical communication. It makes a silent culture increasingly wide spread and inquiries that build students awareness of being not able to grow

    The increasing number of social media users in Indonesia certainly provides a great opportunity to optimize social media as a communication medium. One of them is social media used as a promotional media for agricultural development, on the other hand it is not only social media that is used for media promotion. In fact, in the field many found that conventional media / traditional media are still used as promotional media. The research focused on the effectiveness of agro-tourism promotion media using social media and conventional media in Banyuwangi Regency. The research approach uses quantitative data with survey methods and uses questionnaires as a data collection tool. The sample of this study were three agro-tourism groups from three sub-districts in Banyuwangi Regency with the total number of social media users being 226 visitors and 146 visitors for conventional media users. Data were collected in May-July 2018. Data were analyzed by SPSS 22 and Mann Whitney Test descriptively. The results showed that Pvalue Svarna Agrotourism was 0.226, this value is greater than the significant value (α = 0.05) which indicates that conventional social media and media are different. Pvalue of Pb Agro Tourism is 0.003, this value is smaller than the significant value (α = 0.05) which indicates that sociald media and conventional media have no difference. While the value of Values of Steam Agro Tourism is 0.443, this value is greater than the significant value (α = 0.05) which indicates that conventional social media and media are different

    The cocoa certification program is the implementation of cocoa management practices that meet sustainable agricultural standards. This program is part of the commitment of cocoa sector stakeholders to realize sustainable cocoa. West Sulawesi Province is one of cocoa production centers in Indonesia. The implementation of cocoa certification in this province is still low, about 8.4% of the total cocoa farmers. This study aims to determine the potential for sustainability of the adoption of Cocoa Certification from development communication aspect by conducting an assessment on dialogue and collective action of farmer groups. The research conducted in Luyo Sub-District Polewali Mandar District West Sulawesi Province using survey method with descriptive correlation analysis. The sample size is 41 groups with 205 respondents. Descriptive analysis shows the average index of the implementation of community dialogue and collective action of 56.05,50,88 and 65.72 from a maximum score of 100. The results indicated that perception of farmers on the observability of Cocoa Certification and the role of facilitators are significant related to dialogue and collective action of farmer groups. The dialogue in the group is significant correlated with their collective action. So, some farmer groups have potential to continue to adopt the Cocoa Certification standard but others have potential to quit

    Cyber city is one of the modern city concepts based on Information and Communication Technology (ICT) which has been widely applied in big cities around the world. This is a result of the increasing need for people who want to access information and communicate easily and quickly. As part of the modern world community, Indonesia is time to apply the concept of cyber city to meet the needs of its citizens in accessing the internet more broadly and is no longer limited to certain groups. Indonesian citizens are now in the information age where everyone has the same opportunity to communicate widely both nationally and internationally. The implementation of cyber city can also help the community in utilizing the sophistication of information technology to support development. This study discusses the optimization of cyber city as a communication media for development in Indonesia. This study uses a qualitative approach. The data collection technique of the researcher uses the literature study method. Cyber city as a development communication media has an important role in supporting development in Indonesia, it needs to be improved development communication technology innovations that are easy to use and useful for the community and increase protection for people\u27s personal data

One of the materials that is the focus of socialization on reproductive health and women\u27s nutrition. As an interactive media tool, Instagram is used to provide knowledge through means of live IG, posting photos, and polling. What is the effectiveness of using Aisyiyah\u27s Instagram account in the dissemination of reproductive health and women\u27s nutrition. The theory used in this study, computer mediated communication. This type of research is qualitative - descriptive with data collection carried out through interviews, observation and literature studies. The results of this study can illustrate the use of social media by Aisyiyah especially in reproductive socialization and nutrition for women

    The development and widespread use of internet technology has changed the way people communicate in everyday life. The most important indicator of this transformation is the emergence of new communication devices with internet technology called "digital communication devices" (Werbin 2012). Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and similar social networks that are used online and virtual platforms such as web sites, microblogs, are new communication tools that are used as transformations of existing communication tools such as printed communication devices (journals, newspapers, etc. ), visual (television, cinema, etc.) and audio (radio) communication devices. The transformation is also followed by the way we donate, namely the transition from the offline system (directly giving to the mosque or orphanage) to the online donation system. One of the crowdfunding platforms (online donations) in Indonesia is Kitabisa.com. Lots of excess donations online, but the proliferation of online fraud makes the public (prospective donors) reluctant to participate in this program. So there needs to be a communication strategy between fund raisers and prospective donors to encourage public participation. This study used descriptive qualitative method. Techniques for collecting data with in-depth observation interviews and document checking. The interview was conducted by interviewing the Kitabisa.com party as the party that built the donation and fundraising site for initiatives, campaigns and social programs that had the motto "Let\u27s work together to build Indonesia!". Data analysis was performed using data analysis of Miles and Huberman. Message element theory in social media and participation theory is used in this study which discusses how message elements in a social media / donation site. To increase audience participation in fundraising through online sites, Kitabisa.com by uploading content that contains storytelling and video formats in each campaign that will be done on social media. Update campaigns, progress reports from each campaign, photos in the form of proof of activity are also regularly displayed on the website. This is done consistently to maintain the quality of the campaign and maintain public trust and participation

    The success of ecotourism in area depends on how big and incessant the marketing communication activities undertaken by the local government and related parties. Effective marketing communication is important aspect of the overall marketing mission as well as the determinant of successfull marketing. The purpose of this research is to analyze the form of marketing communication mix, to analyze the effectiveness of marketing communication mix on cognitive, affective, and conative aspects, to analyze the relationship between visitor characteristics and marketing communication mix with marketing communication effectivity. The research method used is quantitative research supported by qualitative data. The result of the research shows that there is a significant correlation between the visitor characteristic in the age with the effectiveness of the marketing communication mix on the affective aspect and visitor characteristics on income level with the effectiveness of the marketing communication mix on the affective and conative aspects

    Social media is a new media that has more interactive communication than conventional media. Earth Hour Bogor is a social movement that utilizes social media instagram as their campaign media. The purpose of this research is the effectiveness analysis of Instagram @ ambogor as media campaign of social movement of environment and the factors that influence it. The methods of the research are quantitative and supported with qualitative data. The results of the social media show Instagram @ehbogor effective in stimulating the attention of followers, causing interest to know more, the desire to participate, and follow the campaign activities organized and invite others. Factors that influence this are the location of the residence and the frequency of the campaign information presented at the Attention stage. At the interest level is the type of work, the frequency of respondents in accessing Instagram and clarity of campaign information. At the stage of desire did not find the variables that affect, while the action stage is the location of residence and motivation of respondents in access Instagram

    The digital age has brought changes to both farmers and extension workers. In carrying out communication activities in the diffusion of innovations, an appropriate communication strategy is needed, so that the message is easily understood by farmers and facilitates the development of farmer groups. This paper is the result of a study that aims to describe farmers \u27perceptions of instructor communication strategies in utilizing information media and measuring farmers\u27 communication actions in the application of rice cultivation to support food security. The research location is in Sirah Pulau Padang Village, Ogan Komering Ilir Regency, South Sumatra. The research method used was a survey with a purposive sampling method for six farmer groups that carried out rice cultivation, a sample of 30 farmers. Interviews were conducted with questionnaires as primary data, while secondary data was obtained from the related institutions. Data analysis to measure farmers\u27 perceptions of instructor communication strategies and communication actions of farmers in rice cultivation was carried out by calculating scores. The results showed that the communication strategies used by extension agents were positively perceived by farmers. Likewise, the communication actions of farmers in rice cultivation are high. In particular, the authors review communication strategies that can be implemented so that farmers can take communication actions in rice cultivation, in supporting food security in the digital era and several important recommendations are delivered
