PENGARUH HARAPAN PENGAJAR TERHADAP MOTIVASI DAN PRESTASI SISWA DI KELAS
Get PDFThis research refers to the research conducted by Rosenthal and Jacobson (1968), which finds that students\u27 intellectual development is influenced by their teacher expectations and how these expectations are communicated to them. Therefore, this study hypothesizes that positive teacher expectations and behavior in experimental classes for one semester would strengthen students’ effort and motivation in achieving higher performance in the experimental classes. In this experiment, students / respondents were not isolated from external environmental influences, such as from the influence of other their \u27regular’ classes, lecturers, as well as their classmates. The method used in this study was experimentation method using two teachers and two subjects. Each teacher taught two classes of one same subject, which were divided into experimental group and control group. The result of this experimentation shows that the students\u27 achievement in both of the experimental classes is not different significantly than those in regular/ control classes

PEMBIAYAAN BUDGET DEFISIT, HUTANG, DAN TINGKAT BUNGA : SUATU PERBANDINGAN ANTARA EMERGING DAN ADVANCED COUNTRIES
Get PDFDeficit budget, public debt, as well as interest rate of advanced and emerging countries are compared in this study. The study employ data of 30 developed countries and 29 emerging countries in period 2006 to 2011. Data is obtained from IMF. The descriptive method is used dominantly in the study. The study finds that the advanced countries conduct more dominant fiscal policy than the emerging countries. Furthermore, the ratio of public debt per GDP of developed countries also greater than the public debt of emerging countries. However, the percentage of interest payment in the government budget and in the GDP of emerging countries is higher than the developed countries. The situation existed because the interest rates that must be paid by emerging countries are greater than developed countries. If developed countries conduct public debt that requires same ratio of interest payment like emerging countries, the developed countries will have the public debt three times more than the debt of emerging countries. Based on the result, it can be concluded that emerging countries have weaker ability using public debt financing fiscal budget deficit than the advanced countries

Get PDFIt is factual that the establishment of an SME generally starts with the family members or at least with the indirect support and family assistance. This study is focused on finding the role of capital provided by the family at the time of establishing and developing SME, either in the form of money capital and financial assets or in the form of values, or emotions-time-care. The research is performed with using qualitative methods, namely Multi Case Studies on three SMEs in Bandung which are selected as the research object. Results from recorded interview are coded according to the research theme. Pierre Bourdieu’s theory of capital is used to analyze and to explore meaning from the findings. The findings show that economic capital is not the only factor that plays a role in starting and developing businesses in the three cases. There are other capitals such as cultural capital and social capital. Symbolic capital can be built in line with the cultural and social capital accumulated along the life of the business
